Come to Australia, best place to live and my best decision since I picked to migrate to Australia over a Canadian PR

i've been living in vancouver all my life (43 years) and trust me, it wasn't like this before.. sure, it wasn't perfect but since trudeau and his liberal minions took over in 2015, everything started to go downhill and canada became a hellhole.

I can understand why people want to leave or not come to Canada, weather, cold weather can last up to six months and the summer isn’t always that great. Another reason, taxes…. Canadians are taxed to death here, you are taxed on everything here and if you make good money and aren’t paying enough taxes, you could pay a good chunk come tax time. Job market sucks, there are lots of jobs but these jobs don’t pay the greatest. Cost of living has skyrocketed over the years and in my personal opinion, since Justin Trudeau has been PM, everything has doubled in cost, so many people are struggling, many young couples can’t afford a house, rent has been on the rise over the years and so many people rely on the food banks, the highest it’s ever been in Canadian history, crime has gone up and drug use has also gone up and oddly enough, ever since Trudeau has been in charge and I’m sure some will disagree with this but Canada was never like this before Trudeau.

Your comments on the real estate mess may be incorrect. Critics believe that over investment by corporations trying to build rental portfolios is responsible, especially since at current prices immigrants are being priced out of the market and so are not responsible for these prices increases. Additionally prices and material inflation has slowed new home construction and new building construction is historically at an all time low relative to demand.

Since it appears that being Muslim is an important aspect of your life, I would recommend Malaysia as an ideal destination.

Since the liberals with the leadership of Justin Trudeau took over, 10 years ago, in the federal government, Canada has become a pathetic place to live. Socialism has destroyed the entrepreneurial spirit. Taxes are very high and professional immigrants can not practice their occupation since it is not recognized by the government. The government prints money and gives generous handouts to those that don’t work with the result that the debt has reached uncharted territories and the Canadian dollar has lost more than 35% of its value against the U.S. dollar. Healthcare is horrible since you have to wait for months to see a medical professional or have an operation. The country is run by monopolies and oligopolies in banking, and telecommunications. To buy or rent a house is extremely expensive. Finally the winters are long and cold and when you see the sun you feel is a real treat!

I am from Toronto. It’s gone. I love it. However it has changed economically since COVID-19. Housing is huge problem to live here renting or owning. The prices are higher than I imagined before the pandemic. \nThen since the gas prices are high and it is huge city, then it is very expensive to move around. \nElsewhere in Canada probably similar, but GTA and Vancouver are the most expensive.

I would love to visit Oman and have heard great things in terms of quality of life (Muslim, low crime rate, beautiful nature and people) there if you want to check it out!

No the cost of living was not always this high! Since the massive spike in a certain population moving here steadily since expo 86 & then another massive spike in 2010 (& so on), rent has quadrupled (possibly more) & not kept up with min wage & born Canadians have had enough. Which might have something to do with why they’re not as friendly, anymore. We can’t afford to buy our own home in the place we are born, when also MANY homes sit empty that owned by mainly corrupt brokers working with overseas Asian’s. It’s a sad truth with stats & articles to back this all up. Many people have simply had enough & I don’t blame anyone for feeling that way.

I honestly love the decision which you both have made, I was born in Qatar and I’ve been living here since that. Honestly it’s such a beautiful and wonderful Islamic country, you might’ve heard about it during the FIFA 2022 time and how a lot of foreigners have converted to Islam over here, Alhumma barik. I suggest you to come here once for a trip for sometime so you’d see how nice it is here. There is Asian Cup 2024 held here next month, try coming In Shaa Allah you’ll love it!

I'm a bangladeshi muslim who lived in canada for some time in 2004_2012 and has since been living in new zealand and I can't recommend nz enough it is the least corrupt country on earth believe me when I say that.

As a native Canadian I totally understand your stand on winter and inflation. As a native Canadian I think we don't inform immigrants and outsiders that winter climate does to alot of people. There is a seasonal affective disorder (very prevelent) in my father's family and even my mother unfailing optimism get's like you fatigue at the very least. Kids love winter but yes as a adult or even a teen many people retreat and feel isolated. As for inflation, I do hope you find a country where the gouvernement(s) aren't denying the insanity that is going on. To be honest, after centuries of being a Quebec native, I have fantasized very heavily about moving myself because even with a good salary things each year since Covid-19 have become just terribly expensive and it affect primarily basic shelter and food needs. Salam am a Muslim 16 year old and I lived in Saudi ever since I was one but moved to Australia at 11 because of how expensive the residence card was my dad lived there for over 20 years and mum for around 11 and we viewed it as a truly amazing country its very safe and people are very helpful and kind everything id also islamiclly led when you're walking in the streets you can litterly feel the islamic spirit am talking about 4/5 years ago I dont know about now but it was the best we used to go madina every eid mecca was close so we went when we could went roude trips around Jeddah and jizan its the best think about it your kids growing up in a society where there is no alchahol, lgbtq,dr**s and islamaphobs its a qiute exspensive place but its truly amazing. you know there are other places in Canada that are still conservative. me as a Muslim, I believe Canada is still great. It depends on the community you're in. but you do you. the province I'm in is still a great place to be in. I would recommend Qatar or Oman. places I wouldn't recommend would be the UAE since you're looking for an Islamic environment. it's not the vibe anymore in the UAE unfortunately

After 2020, there sure has been a lot of racism stirring up since then. But the ironic twist is most of the racism here in Canada comes from POC's and Asians.

Salaam alaykum brother and sister, I am a Muslim and I live in the US, and totally agree and understand your decision, I feel the same way too, however I just wanted to let you know that if you are considering Dubai or anywhere in the UAE, Saudi or the Gulf area for that matter, then don't since the final reason you stated will be a reason there as well, unfortunately but yes, I have a family members that live in these countries and myself have visited there, otherwise, keep us posted with your findings and may Allah guide us all, jazakum Allah kheiran

Not sure but Top muslim countries are also supporting Israil like Saudi Arabia, Dubai,..! No words to say on this, for me, wherever you are, your iman is strong so it will not effect you. I am not a mom yet so can not say anything about kids and their education or lifestyle. Here in Australia, I have seen a family of two children, mom is a Muslim and father was sikh so his family also, but the mom has settled everything in islamic way, her children are getting islamic knowledge, daugher wears hijab in school, read Quran, etc. I think you can make your home environment as of islamic so that it does not effect anyone of you , but still I am not sure as I am not a parent yet. Pray I become parent as we are married since 5 years

I respect your decision but not necessarily I agree with your all reasons you gave.\nI am also first generation emigrant, my children born and raised in Canada.\nMe and my wife faced very harsh situation despite we both are well educated and skilled from our country of birth, and had very good life back home. We did nit came here for job or money. We just came here expecting similar treatment but unfortunately we became subject of very calculated and well planned discrimination, since we are practicing Muslims.\nBut we are not giving up and I think God bring here on purpose, for a purpose, and that purpose is to spread Truth ( Daawah ).\nI will continue by the will of our creator. Assalamu'alaikum, I am from Indonesia, I should be more grateful that I live in muslim country that can hear the beautiful voice of adzan five times a day, easy to find halal food and also my mom provide me learned reading qur'an since I was a child, also feel the solemn of Ramadhan month with people reading qur'an every night from the masjid using speaker. That I believe I cannot hear on non muslim country. Thank you for your share and make me realize that I should thank Allah more.
