What is happening is all the new immigants international students are taking all the jobs from the canadians in poor situationlike the construccion jobs. So all tge international students not really cames to studing they came to get a job and later apply for a permanent resident in the same construccion companny. So is no more jobs for the canadkans poor whi no jobs is not food and not housing for them. Because they are taking the shelters hlysi g and a food banks to. So the poor canadaians are been put them away to get sick suffer been displaced form the new international students fakes. ??.

I thought mass emigration is some kinda mystery. At least that's what the government wants Canadian's to believe, but I doubt Canadian's are buying it. Government incompetent is more what it is about. No criminal records check on a student's Visa, WT@#$$! Now Canadian know what's going on!\nNice Work True North!

As an Indian these so called students were dumb to leave India where growth is taking place and go to Canada, I think in long run it is good if a few get dissed. The stupid fascination with western country is purely dumb. \n\nSome even have a lower pay in Canada then India, and the leaving conditions and white collared workers becoming blue collared. Makes no sense. So yeah Canadian should do as they please.

why invite international students if you don't want them live here
|
| 2024-05-17 | 0 |
This is the indian student scam. They obviously didn't receive a college diploma
|
| 2024-05-17 | 0 |
They should go home, they misunderstood being a student here, even working more than studying, they dont have “canadian” right their foreigns.
|

The ignorance that this young man spurts is so nauseating and you have people who supports him. Repulsive is not the word. \nLies, international students do have to go through stringent criminal records check. \nHow about you ask the government to help out universities so that they don’t have to depend on international students. Secondly, you’ve mentioned the low birth rate. Why aren’t Canadians having children? Why haven’t you explored the whys behind that? \nWhy?

If they paid for studies AND post studies, then they have the right to the 2yrs they paid for. Otherwise, Canada needs to reimburse them all for the monies paid. That's daylight robbery and scamming. It's not rocket science, Canada needs to withhold selling student visas if they have no capacity to host, but they know that no one is buying their visas without the post graduate extras.

These students needs to be deported of course
|

A lot of them look like middle aged men , you would have thought that was a bit of a clue as to whether they are students or immigrants pulling a fast one .
|
| 2024-05-17 | 0 |
Bro what? As an Indian ethnicity Canadian who has been living in Canada for 24 years…my country has a right to bar the influx of students and refugees.
|
| 2024-05-17 | 0 |
Dude, you obviously gotta research better. Student protests aren’t allowed in India, it’s a straight up lie buddy! Iam a dentist and was a part of protest to increase wages for doctors while I was a student in India. And Iam contributing to the Canadian economy now, paying my taxes here. While I agree that these Tim employees need to leave, you gotta improve a lot better at doing your job pal!

I wonder , what if the students were Muslims?
|
| 2024-05-17 | 0 |
People in India that are cheating, and allowing these students to come should be held accountable and most importantly the universities that are bringing these students in should also be closed down
|

Highlight the age of a student. No older than 21. They look much older
|
| 2024-05-16 | 0 |
Should the students be allowed to stay in Canada? No. Will they be allowed to stay in Caanda? Probably, because we have a weak capitulating government that's hell bent on destroying Canada..
|
| 2024-05-16 | 0 |
The students had to know the rules from the start. They do not deserve to stay.

I’m an international student from China and I never worked here. My Indian classmates ruined our final project. Wearing slippers for presentations and even cannot finish a simple website, my roommates are Indians as well, and they are all good. But some students they’re not come here to study, just for work. But just keeping the balance between study and work, will make other students have bad experiences. I also want to get the PR here, but it depends on my abilities and other factors. I love country music, K-pop, and pop Jazz, I watched a documentary about Canada before I came, and I was a volunteer at the London Air Show, Comic Con, Food Bank and Ronald Macdonald House. In addition, I also help the Church group make posters and videos. You come here is to integrate local culture and accept the rules and order, you can keep your own identity a features. Don’t forget you are a foreigner, you are the guest now.

Harrison, I agree with you. Temporary foreign visitors to Canada whether on student visa / work visa / travel visa DO NOT have any rights to dictate immigration policy to Canada. \n\nIt is for Canada to decide whom to welcome, whose visas to extend or discontinue based on Canadian priorities and strategic interests.

Student nurses go to school here and after graduation, they find jobs in the U.S.
|
| 2024-05-16 | 0 |
Many of these students were sold a bill of goods by various people who promised more than they should have. As our PM has stated students coming over has not been the issue, but having temporary workers come over has been. What had been traditionally 2% has been 7% plus. This is what needs to be reduced, but in most of these cases no one wants to do the jobs they have, such as fruit picking. I find some of the comments here as being offensive, don't need more Tim Horton workers. A number of these individuals are here for PR first and schooling second, this needs to tighten up. Your rant is counterproductive, and just puts out more hate, when we need to stop the hate.

What about the bangladeshi nd pakistani students ?
|

Sorry, my parents immigrated to Canada in the 80s from communist Poland and they never received a penny of assistance from the government or taxpayer. Immigrants are supposed to come with a skill set they can sustain themselves from. The explosion of international students and low-skilled immigrants has damaged the economy and taken away jobs from young Canadians just entering the job market
|

Bro not one of them are students
|
| 2024-05-16 | 0 |
We have 80k homeless students across Canada and no jobs in the fields they have been educated for. I wouldn’t stay here either. Get out before the 25k “Leaving Canada Tax” is put in!

We have over 80k homeless students across Canada! You tell me guy!

There is nothing wrong with BALANCED immigration from MANY countries. The situation here is that these students come only from ONE country and the number keeps growing exponentially. We need an cap on immigration from India.
|
| 2024-05-15 | 0 |
So if you wanted immegrants to build houses and work in your broken health care system why canadian government issued visas to international students in other categories? Reality is international students are cash cows and canada generates 22.3$ billion dollars every year
|
| 2024-05-15 | 0 |
Very disappointed in Pierre Pollieve over this one issue. They need to go back to India. We don't need competition for food, housing, and jobs. Aren't things bad enough right now without the pressure of all these so called students ? Pierre what are you thinking ? Kindness and compassion us Canadians have . This feels like we are being taken advantage of.
|

Send them home now! There used to be a lot of summer jobs available to young high school students, but now it's becoming difficult for them to apply because of the overwhelming number of these international students.

So funny these student has done a program in Canada but they end up in timmys job or labor job.so mismatch job.?

Someone above asked why so much Indians. you see indian student's out there - yes they had to pay 20K-40000CAD FEES to colleges + now a days 20,600 CAD GIC to Banks in Canada. \nEach in total spends 40-80k cad. \n\nAnd every day from the tim cup , pizza/ burger to food delivery you see indian. Student/ work permit holders/ pr they work up to built our canada. \nTalk about health care ( Doctors, nurses, psw, dentist) Transportation, \nhard- cheap labour,\n IT projects, Constructions, mechanics....name it you have INDIAN playing a major role. \n\nHow did canada expanded and devolped so well ? Even after such harsh climate conditions. \n\nNo immigration = No development of country.\n\nThink a bit towards a positive end as well. \n\nNo one had spend a single dollar from his/her pockets to get a single Indian here into canada. \n\nIndian immigrants pay themself to come to canada \n \nNot to forget the immigration visa fees, right to PR fee many more from all this indian people you see around paid to come to canada.\n\nThanks.

They are pretty young students lol

Pierre I'm disappointed in you. These students are taking our jobs housing from our children. You need to change policy and deport them, I thought you were for Canadians !!

Thank God someone cover this thing. I am Indian Sikh moved here with my parents in 2021 and we are permanent Resident. I am disable so my parents thought it would be a great country in terms of opportunities but you know what I have not get any job because wherever I went for interview, there are so many international students looking for job as well. \nBring a citizen, it’s very heartbreaking that other who don’t have PR , still getting jobs.

you know, I have worked with temps in BC for over four years. They come in/phone in and ask for temp work, but here is the thing,....they don't want to do construction work. they want a company to oblige their school schedules, warehouse, forklifting only at 25 to 30 an hour. Its a scam to get PR.....they are not citizens, they are visitors. Ever single one of these students I've met ALL of THEM feel they're entitled to the same right and privileges as Canadian born citizens. Its just twisted. \nOur government is being played HARD.

I'm an international student form Nicaragua, and I'm doing my best to contribute to this country since day 1. And I'm looking to stay in this country not to take advantage of anything, but to contribute and give way more than I have received here. It's just not fair that we are being affected by Indians, the government should apply measures according to each situation from each country of origin. Indians are the abusers of the system, not us that we are the real minority here trying to earn our place here but just our pure honest effort.

Bull's eye, Harrison! Somehow international students and workers get the idea that as soon as their foot touches the 'magic dirt' that is Canadian soil, they assume all the rights and privileges of full Canadian citizens. Wrong! They are guests. Wish they'd behave like guests instead of petulant spoiled brats (which most of them are) who are merely using education as a foot in the door to permanent residency in the 'land of free stuff'!

It makes me crazy to hear Justin repeating everything Pierre has been saying for months. Immigration is causing issues with so many International students coming to Canada which is more than Canada can absorb. Justin hasn't thought of any ideas and uses what Pierre has been saying for months now. If you can work out the immigration numbers coming into Canada and the possibility of building homes and how fast. They said Canada would have to build a home every minute to build homes to fix the number of people in Canada now through immigration.

my family immigrated from india 20 years ago. You'd think i'd sympathize with these students, but i don't actually :S
|
| 2024-05-15 | 0 |
Some of those students look much older then what I think a student would be. I shop at a independent grocery store not part of a chain well I know all the ladies that work at the cash registers about 2 weeks ago I go shopping I thought I was in a different country everyone working the cash registers was from India all students but let's remember give business owners a payout for hiring these students so the business saves money and get cheap labour iam against this it's counter productive for Canada.

International students have no rights
|
| 2024-05-15 | 0 |
Who said they don't want to go home? Canada invites international students with a promise to give them PR if they can finish school and qualify using one of the programs. I know because that's how I came to Canada. Unlike the US where it's hard to stay and you need a marriage, in Canada you can use a qualifying job. Usually people sponsored by family to get PR, as well as refugees, are put ahead of international students as well as those on work permits. \n\nIn the meantime, International students over-pay into post secondary, as well as working off campus and paying taxes, but are always last in line when it comes to being granted PR. The rules change so much so fast, it's easy to find yourself out of time and kicked out of the country. \n\nSo whoever watches this will be happy that International students are getting kicked out, but the problem with too much immigration won't be solved because the country is still taking in so many refugees. Right now it's international students getting the axe and are the scape goats in ths game. \n\nAlso, the reason why Canada takes in more immigrants beyond the obvious, is because they want to eventually do away with property rights. So while people can cheer kicking out international students, it doesn't prevent the inevitable from happening, because the politicians took in too many new people.. \n\nAnyway, good luck to everyone, from either side of this debate, it's bad news all around wharever the final outcome.

I'm leaning towards the government extending these students and allowing them to stay. Because I have no faith in the Canadian government to follow even their own rules
|

Most Indian students never see a classroom.\nFor some, swindlers have taken advantage of their parent's sponsorship; others are here looking for a new homeland.\nEither way, this is a re-colonization movement.

1:25 - correction.. they are not Indian students, but most international foreign workers from Manitoba who were qualified individuals and the province didnt conduce PNP draw
