I experienced seeing some migrants going from that Plattsburgh gas station on that bus line this year. I didn't think about it cause there's such a large int'l population in Montreal. But looking back, it was a little weird seeing foreigners waiting for a bus in a smaller city across the border. ? And Canada's visa/permit offices are a joke. Visitors and migrants get their asap but people waiting for a work permit have to wait at least 6 months or a year, even for US citizens

The government needs to get these illegals out of here! They take up resources, housing and help from citizens!

Since February 2024 Canada has reinstated visas for Mexican citizens. Now I don’t know how difficult it is to get a tourist visa for them.

Spousal and children of US citizen visas should be getting priority ahead of all other immigrants, especially illegal immigrants. Canada has cancelled all issued ETA's to Mexican nationals. Citizens of Mexico are now required to have a valid visa obtained through Canadian consular missions in Mexico prior to boarding a Canada bound flight.

The border patrol just stated that there has been more than 15k illegals since Jan 2024 more than in the last 13FY combined. NY offers free free free for illegals but does not take care of its citizens. Our counties can’t take care of their own but let’s keep adding the illegals. Why don’t they all just camp at hoculs home.

In NYC, migrants from South America can go to 800 2nd Ave Manhattan and go up to the 2nd floor to the Embassy and get papers filled out, get a passport, get your reloadable debt card, medical, schooling, housing voucher and live like a king for a few months. Over 200 line up every morning here and several hundred a day go through to get this. Can we be mad at the migrants, NO. Though I can be mad at the government for allowing and promoting it. When I got leukemia from the job the utility company fought Workers comp and stopped my pay to starve us out. I ended up homeless with a wife and 4 children. All social services in NY could do was offer us $13 a day per child for food allowance and nothing more. We couldn’t even get Medicare. The food allowance was only for 7 days. It’s a disgrace how citizens are treated. Come here illegally and they offer you the world. These politicians need to be voted out. Social services was developed to help those citizens in need and it’s not happening. People need to realize that government contractors (usually family of politicians) are hired to help these “migrants” . These contractors even from the UN are in Panama helping migrants get here. If you research it you will get angry for sure. My elected officials in Northern NY know what’s going on and are behind it, they don’t even hide it.

In 2008, I had to choose if I wanted to remain in the US legally, or return to Europe. I am so glad I chose the latter. But I can see how for the Asian and Mexican migrants, the US might be an opportunity. So, New York offers free housing to migrants, while the US citizens can not afford rent. Good job, Murika!
