I am an international student from India doing bachelor’s here and I completely agree with the fact that they need to slow it down just for the sake of citizens. Tbh, even we are having hard time here just because of the number of international students they’ve invited in the past few years. Personally, I never thought of having a citizenship here but now it’s just so hard even for survival.

As a home owner and having lived in Canada for 43 years I don’t see myself living in Canada any longer mainly because of property taxes for owning a home .

I just want to share after being in Canada for 14 years i finally become a citizen next week! ?

I guess we did a right move. During the cold war we moved to Canada in Jan 1990 from former Czechoslovakia after spending almost 2 years in Austria to enjoy freedom. I remember renting a 3 bedroom apartment with 2 balconies in Brampton /ON for 360/M. In Mississauga 600/M for a 5 bedroom townhouse. Later on in Orangeville/ON I bought a fully detached house with a nice land with own swings and slides a swimming pool for 144 000.00. When the non stupidity in law started in 2002 we sold our house packed our things and went back to Europe. I always loved Canada as my second home but I guess the table has turned and we cherish freedom elsewhere. I am really sad about what's going on with Canada but it isn't really that hard to figure out why.

While this is happening, Biden said he will work hard to come up with a process???..in the meantime, these illegals are in for a rude awakening..1st, the vast majority does not know how to speak English, 2nd, no work experience in the United States 3rd, where are they going to live? And how will they afford it...there are US citizens and legals that's been here for years and having a hard time paying their rent and hills. These migrants think it's so easy here in the US

People in ER have been dying in Canada after waiting for 10-12 hours. Canada does not publish these horrible things in india or in any other country to maintain her image . Free healthcare means no health . Aldo, not everytjing is free in healthcare . You need to pay for dental , eyes, mediines , physio , other medical eqipment etc . Canada has been lying too much . Only when you live in Canada for one year , you know and then you regret . Canada is doing henious crime by misinforming people in other countries . Many people who could not go back to India or whereever they belonged to committed suicides . Shame on Canada !

As a Canadian, stay the hell away at this point in history, you would be shocked at the cost to live here. There is a massive housing shortage right now, so of course, the rent, and real estate is completely unrealistic now. The cost of literally everything is driving through the roof right now. If you are thinking of coming here, I would wait a few years till we get this mess sorted out.

Cos they get the housing first and free benefit money .drive nice cars..and what frustrates me is you should be learning that country's language and there laws n rights before you get accepted in..cos how they suppose to work if they can't under the language\nAnd how many bad people are running loose in your country with n9 money. Properly no id and can't speak the language..so now because of constant migration problems everywhere. We’ve been here since more than a year now and we don’t have a car and we love the pollution free air here and the work life balance. If you live downtown, you don’t need a car as public transport is very convenient. If you don’t want to do things on your own and you definitely need the help from maids and so on, then Canada isn’t for you. It all depends on where you find a house. Very few people in downtown own cars. If you want to live a healthier life, Canada is a good place for that. We came in winters and settled with the help of relatives and thankfully it’s been good so far. Summers are amazing here. Job market is a struggle currently but it’s not permanent. And it is possible to find a job from India if you try for it. If you’re in IT, you don’t need to start from scratch. There are Indian stores almost everywhere and many Indian restaurants as well. You just need to find your place. And it’s an amazing place for plant based vegan people. Food quality is amazing and great safety restrictions. Healthcare also depends on where you live. If you find your people and friends and keep socializing with family, loneliness won’t be there. It’s better to move to a new country when you don’t have kids. \nAlso the accent gradually develops and there’s nothing to worry about. This place is very diverse and there are people with very different accents from all around the world. There is some struggle initially but it all depends on what your priorities are. Life here is very comfortable once you get used to the lifestyle here and the biggest thing is, work life balance and the quality of life. If you want to do things other than your job, this is a good place to do that. Kids also become much more independent here. Rest it all depends on what your goals in life are. Also one of the biggest factors is, if your partner/husband isn’t willing to help with housework or cooking, you can’t survive here. As simple as that. Many factors to consider.

You don't waltz into someone's home and try to make it yours, instead be humble, courteous and show gratitude for the accommodation. Canada has been my home for the past 23 years. I will consider myself as a successful immigrant, my son born in Canada is at leading engineering university. My wife fulfilled with her career. Hard work and commitment to live and let live will take you far. Your personal belief and ideology should stay in your basement. I Respect your decision, good for yours and Canada's future.

I LOVE Toronto. But would never live there. I keep it as a weekend destination a couple times per year to soak in the vibes, meet the amazing people and enjoy the cuisine. I flat out refuse to pay that much for rent, considering I own a house a few hours away and my mortgage is less than half the rental cost for the average Toronto one bedroom. I really hope they can successfully tackle these problems because the city really is incredible.

This happens everywhere no matter the location. I paid £30,000 for a MSc being a british citizen at a UK university. But my compatriots/friend paid upwards of £50,000 for the tuition alone for one year. We were lucky the education provided was really amazing but I couldnt imagine being in their position.

Moved out of Toronto in 2016, when I go back it is horrible to see the changes. I had a great 1bd 2bth for 8 years at 1600 a month right downtown in a beautiful condo (no rent increase). I'm sure now I'd pay twice that in rent for a much worse living experience.

Thousands coming every years bit inflation rate increases....many they have no jobs...frustration increased ...busines going down ...rates of daily wages going down ....mortgage increased

Canada is slowly collapsing due to its politics and bad policies. The same goes with the US.. 4 more years of democrat rule will destroy America's foundation and bring on a revolution or civil war. When the talking stops, fighting starts and we are already seeing it today.

I was born here in canada but my mom immigrated. Took her 20 years almost to get full citizenship . \nThe cap is needed . These past 5 years has been honestly out of control . \nI've personally worked jobs where international students knew exactly how to work the system . \nEven working directly with employers to bank hours so that they can go full-time during summer yet still get paid for the whole year as part time so the government doesn't see that they pass there maximum hours worked . \nThe access to credit aswell is super scary .

Hi, Thank you for the video, it is really helpful for me since I'm planning to move to NB in this upcoming March. If I may summarize, so for AIP - Worker stream in NB: \n1. the eligibility criteria is to have at least 1 year full time working experience (1560 hours) in any Teer 0 - Teer 4 job for the last 5 years inside or outside NB. \n2. then get a Full-time Job in any of the designated companies in NB \n3. once we got the full time job, we will create the settlement plan to be submitted to the employer, then the employer submit the settlement plan to the provincial AIP dept. to issue the endorsement letter which then is used to apply for my PR \n \nSo does that mean, once we get a full-time job in any of the designated company in NB, then we can immediately start the process for the settlement plan and endorsement letter, without having the working experience in the New Brunswick? Is my understanding correct? Please kindly advise. Thanks

My son turned his back on TO…Canada after 7 years, my youngest will do the same, with her Masters in hand…soon. As a returning expat, my husband n I have decided to not spend our retirement funds here anymore. why not close these puppy mills and let the quality institute take in international students? best of both worlds, if you can afford 40-60k a year for 2-4 years, you’re pretty much set to immigrate here

I was one of the person who was eliminated by labour job because of student .some i know was fired working 20 years and replace by student payed minimum wage. Until now im still unemployed

NRIs are nothing but economic refugees . I lived in germany and was on blue card visa with pay upwards of 6000 euros a month but still came back to India with in two years could not see myself settling there , I pretty much save the same amount what I was saving there so there is absolutely no incentive for me to live in foreign land leaving all the facilities, maids , friends and family here . I feel for women it’s even harder especially who are housewives they will get depressed pretty fast and are nothing more than maids in foreign land .

With a number of retiree appear and get out of the country every year, if canada stop attract more people, their country will be collapsed in the future.\nUnlike us which is a smaller country that has nearly 350 mil people, canada is the second biggest country with nearly 41 mil people. Additionally, if we deduct the number of people who are not in the work force such as : children, old people, pregnant woman.... canada definitely doesnt have enough workers. The testing and background checks for these international students need to be more thorough. \nWhen I was in university (publicly funded) four years ago doing a group project there was a guy that couldn’t write a whole sentence with proper grammar. So he didn’t do anything and we had to reflect that on the peer evaluation. Then he begged the professor to not write him up because his family had to sell lands back home to bring him here.\nThere is no way that someone could get into a Canadian university passing all the interviews and examinations without being able to speak and write with proper grammar. So he had to have cheated during the process. They are affecting the experiences of other students by not participating in group projects, and talking loudly during lectures.

May God help those international students. I went to this prestigious university in Alberta for two degrees and learned absolutely nothing after 6 years.

I was born and raised in Toronto and lived 57 years there. 6 months ago, I moved to Saskatchewan having never visited before. I'm ashamed of Toronto. It's not what it was. I outgrew it and although I have good memories of what it once was, it no longer is. And I will forever tell everyone it's not even worth the visit.

I’m not sure what is meant by “making friends” exactly. In my opinion, finding people you can be open with and trust takes years, no matter where you live on this planet. So, for what it’s worth, I thought Calgarians to be easygoing, Montrealers to be outgoing but click-ish, and people in Ottawa kind of dull (at a social group level). I’ve only spent a couple of weeks in Vancouver as a traveler so I can’t really judge but my sister and a friend who both studied and worked in Vancouver - and who are both outgoing people- found it difficult to crack through social circles in Vancouver. They basically thought that Vancouverites are a little elitist/snobby.

Post secondary institutions love foreign students. They charge waaaaay more and make that much more.\nThe response against more foreign students by liberal media is the threat that your tuition will go up with limits on foreign students.\nWhat about spaces? For every foreign student there's one less space for Canadian students.\nHousing is the biggest issue today.\nPrevious to Trudeau, the issue was the cost of detached homes in big cities going up but today it's insane rental costs across the board that no one can afford.\nI have been dumb founded as to why after decades of predictable increases and stock suddenly, year after year, cost went up dramatically as stock dwindled.\nI see the same places available, no one's tearing down masses of cheap 70s built rentals so what happened?\nThen I saw the immigration numbers. Canadians aren't having kids so who is taking all this housing? It has to be immigration.\nClearly, it's time to turn the taps down and allow housing stock to catch up.\nThe ripple effect is that no one can work an entry level job in the city. Who can afford a minimum $1000 month on minimum wage? Even at $20 hour, everyone is hiring but no one is filling positions in cities where there's nowhere to rent. I came to Canada 4 years ago as an International Student and now have been working for 2 years. We as international student spent almost all our fortune to study in Canada and work for Canadian companies after graduation. A lot of my engineering majors are also working for government project to build more houses. Therefore, if people are working together on this, Canada could even thrive more given we are the second largest country in the world.

Arab nations did take in Palestinians before right? In Jordan and Lebanon? Didn’t the Palestinians assassinate the Jordan King and caused a civil war in Lebanon? The more houses you build the more land you need that means farmland You can't grow food on a house or apt.The more people in this country the more food you need? Farmers have a hard time growing food as it is there will be a food shortage in 5 years ( think about it)
