I went to New York 20 years ago, I found the food was terrible and the air smelled like sewage. Central Park was the only place I enjoyed there, likely because the trees were able to filter the crappy smell from the air. Montreal, despite the episodic smog events, smell like heaven next to that. Also the milk in the US tastes absolute garbage unless you pay the piper for organic, non growth hormone raised cow milk. Most farmers in the US shoot their livestock with all sorts of hormones to increase production but they just end up spoiling the taste, it's quite hard to describe but it's painfully obvious when you experience it.

I feel you on the tap water. It is not the same in every state. Canada water is great, Vermont water, where I’m from is great. Georgia tap water is absolutely garbage. You can taste the cesspool it came from.

You guys are absolutely right about the worst parts of Canada being like the best parts of America.

Aba nailed the point about LA being racially segregated. Absolutely correct. One thing the US has over Canada is the 2a. That’s proving to be more important than people want to give credit for.

Trudeau the absolute worst

The whole thing about Trudeau doing black face then getting re-elected is the funniest thing to me. That'd be an absolute death sentence in the states.

In regards to food in the US, the sad part is that most amazing, wonderful food from all parts of the world can be found in strip malls, but you have to know about it because so many family restaurants never get the attention they deserve.\n\nWith that said, there are many places with an absolute lack of varied, good food.

Sounds like you're a immigrant yourself, there is like no racism at all, it's more like if you're a immigrant or your someone of a different culture you associate people having a problem with how you're doing things as if it's to do with your race and not your culture. When you relocate to a new country you are supposed to adopt the new culture. A Canadian finds it insulting for immigrants to come to a country and not try to integrate and be part of it. It's ignorant to come to another country and not respect their way and how they do things. Whether you like it or not there is a Canadian way and you need to do it when you come here. You do not come here and act like you do in your country you came from it's not the same thing. You definitely don't come to Canada and preach that there's racism it's not in our vocabulary you need to get it through your head. Is there some racial jargon absolutely but you need to get used to it because it's a lot less than every other country. It is also impossible to get rid of if completely. As well stereotypes will be created because there are stereotypes with certain races that come to a country thinking they continue acting as they do in their country in the new country they move to. Stereotyping is not racism. You will have to need Ian's that might not like certain races because they don't conduct yourselves properly in the country. It's stereotypical and it's expected and should be expected if people coming to a country not respecting that country's values. Nobody wants people going to their country acting like they do in the country they came from. And if the Immigrant can't get used to how things work here than they don't belong in the country they need to go to the country that is a home for them. Canada isn't the Wonderland of all Races where everybody gets to still act like they're in their birth country in Canada when it's not.

why do people make the argument of 'knives shouldn't be in the university' if he wanted to harm someone he would bring an actual sharp knife concealed, people dont bring ak-47's strapped to their back if they wanna shoot a school they have it in a bag. Absolute dipshits.

Why not just move to Bangalore? or Mumbai? or Hyderabad? or Delhi? or Gurgaon? There are lots of jobs (even non-IT) in these cities, and you don't end up spending an absolute dumptruck of money. I can understand the appeal of going/working abroad, but when you don't have the financial base or the merits for it then why do it? Just to live like a beggar with massive levels of stress?

I feel I have to speak up, as a Quebecer, the common opinion in the population, especially in the old one is that they fought to have their own country but lost the vote by a tiny % so overall people feel resentful to Canada and the federal governement. Yeah they live in the past, I know, but if we look in history our ancestors had to fight the british over centuries, most of it was fought in institutions and laws, because Quebecers were catholic and british were protestant, also Quebec absolutely wanted to preserve the french language, this unique dialect we have in Quebec. I don't know why language matter so much, but it does. So yeah, maybe that's why Quebec is racist a little, because in order to have the stuff we have now, a lot of nationalistic leader had to be elected. And I completely agree with it, most people wont say mean stuff but they wont mix in with other cultures.

Before listen to this lady about the problems of this country and think that she is absolutely correct. Know that she left her own country to live here and if she says she is planning to leave eventually, remember that our great country is giving here that right to reap the benefits that she needs. What other country offers you such a simple path to citizenship. Once you become a citizen your entitlements to benefit is no different from someone who was born here. If you were ambitious enough this country allows you to reach the skies, does your country???? Don’t forget where she’s currently living. Hahahahahahha

Christ, out of what you said in the video shows, that Canada is absolutely not welcoming newcomers, government hates their own people, and the country is 10 years behind in technology... Absolutely horrible place to live. And now thinking, that I wanted to move there just 3 years ago, with all that you said, makes me not want to even go as a tourist. Thanks for opening my eyes - Spain here I come.

I came from a 3rd world country in the Middle East. I thought Canada is a developed and first-world country like European countries, the US, Japan, South Korea, Australia, News Land, and Singapore with the western standard, and also I thought is one of the best. The first time 2018 I arrived in Vancouver, I was shocked. I saw a lot of homelessness, trash, crime, ugly urbanism, and rusty houses in downtown and east Vancouver. I saw, homeless people, pooping and peeing everywhere and it's so common. nobody cares. I was shocked again. I endured for 3 years but every day going worst. late in 2022I decided to move to the east coast because I thought that place has a stronger culture. I chose Montreal. I had heard it is the capital of art and civilization in Canada. it was absolutely wrong. Canada is Canada. I was shocked again, again, and again. the wave of homelessness, graffiti, vandalism, bad smell, terrible infrastructure especially roads in or out of the city, and above all, you can see trash everywhere. plastic bags, tissues, water bottles, and disposable cups. You cannot see any street or park or public place without these. This is impossible. surprisingly nobody cares. neither the people nor the government!!!!!!! please, don't be fooled by the advertisement about a good Canada. please, be careful. most of the things about a good Canada are deception. comparing Canada to other developed countries is wrong because Canada is only a developing country with a lot of serious problems. maybe a 2nd world country.

You're absolutely right! Getting a job when you're qualified but a newcomer is the hardest part and the funniest thing is that the interviewers I've meet (a lot) were all immigrants as well! It's like people come here and forget how to help each other which is really sad.

Absolutely right, all the points are true. One thing really bad is this so called free health care. I waited 3 months to see a doctor for my prostrate infection. An ear infection for soo many weeks to see a specialist. At last i went to India, it took 4 hours, I finished consultation, related tests, diagnosis and treatment. State of the art hospital. I paid a fees . My pain is not more important than money. Here canada even if you have money you have no choice \nIn short why people have to go through all this sacrifice to enjoy this lifeless frozen land, and lately Canadians became the victim of a Government lead by an idiot, called TREUDO, IDIOT TRUDEAU

Most people would agree, BC is the worst place to live. Extremely expensive rent, lowest pay, absolutely poor health care.

I randomly looked at videos from downtown Manchester and Concord in New Hampshire - Philadelphia - Detroit - Chicago - New York - Baltimore - Denver - Atlanta - Nashville, and Knoxville in the United States, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, and London in the UK, Paris, Marseille, Lyon, and Toulouse in France, Frankfurt, and Hamburg in Germany, Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane in Australia, Tokyo, Yokohama, and Osaka in Japan, Busan, Seoul, and Incheon in South Korea, Toronto - Quebec - Montreal - Winnipeg - Calgary - Vancouver - Victoria - Ottawa and Thunder Bay in Canada. we should be fair. The bitter truth must be accepted. Without any exaggeration. Completely impartial. I have to say that I didn't see a single piece of garbage in any of the other country's videos to convince myself. Without exaggeration, in all Canadian cities, you will find a piece of trash or garbage on the ground less than every hundred meters. It must have an important reason. I do not know. But this is a bitter truth. You can try. This country should be brought closer to its exaggerated claim. Certainly, some Asian countries such as Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and even Malaysia are much cleaner compared to Canada. Of course, we should not forget that Canada claims to be one of the 10 cleanest countries in the world. And cities like Vancouver and Toronto claim to be one of the 5 cleanest cities in the world. I am 50 years old and from a country in the 3rd world in the Middle East called Iran (with the most dictatorial regime in the world) and have traveled to 26 countries. Canada is far from its claims. At this time I live in Saint-Sauveur with my family. I work 5 hours a week as a volunteer person to clean the sides of roads, streets, national parks, and public places in the city. I lived in Vancouver for 4 years, this city is a disaster. when you drive or walk on East Hastings, Victoria Drive, Commercial Drive, West Georgia, Broadway, Main Street, Granville, and most places downtown, you never believe this city is in Canada. they're worst than some places in Africa or the 3rd world countries in Asia. I love this country and try my best to help. I came for peace. I disagree with these rankings, I would place Ontario above Quebec, having lived in several provinces, I know for a fact that Quebec has much higher taxes than Ontario, and in my opinion, Quebec's healthcare system is horrible compared to Ontario, it is so bad, many Quebecers will drive hours to come to Ontario hospitals. Quebec bureaucracy and government policies and red tape are ridiculous bordering on absolutely stupid. I grew up in Quebec and would never return there to live. You forgot to mention British Columbia's very high crime rate.

Very good video, I wish I knew it all in 2014! Taxes, OMG this was such a nasty surprise when my grocery bill was higher than what I saw on a price tag. Funny that a lot of this is true in Switzerland as well. Switzerland hates overachievers but values team work. Always respect your team, help and be polite are absolute dealbreakers. Other aspects of cultural norm also works. Remember how Canadians were closed when it comes to personal topics, Swiss people are reserved and it takes time to get closer to them but they can also been direct when it comes to a civil state, at least this happened to me. \nFunny fact: when I arrived in Switzerland I had Canadian views of a distance and annoyed people by saying 80km is close, but when I explained I used to live in Canada they understand I need time to adjust. \nI lived 5yrs in Toronto and never get issues with winter, but I hate summer heat not winter.

Beautiful and classy ladys... Very enjoyable video. Kudos to you from a Canadian immigrant living abroad. In 1988 in a snowy day, around noon, when returning to my parked car in Square One. Mississauga ON, I slipped and fractured my right hand. The pain was excruciating. Got to the closest hospital emergency room, and I had to leave without being seen by a Dr after 4 or 5 hours waiting, in the most horrible pain I ever felt. I asked but was not given any pain killer. It was not until I returned there that night, that they could see me. They did not do X ray exam, and what they put in my fractured hand cast was incorrect, and the pain continued. Next day after begging for an appointment, I went to a regular Dr office, and she corrected the cast the hospital put wrong. After so many hours I was in excruciating pain without reliable help, made me think and decide maybe that Canada was not what I was heard about it. I had already noticed how expensive living there was. Plus the racist nature of many Canadians, made me realize that I will never have their friendship. I live in the USA ever since the year 1989, and although I absolutely love Canada, I am not interested in living there again. PS> Weather was nasty cold, but the country is prepared to life around that type of weather, so that was not a problem for me. I look forward seeing more of your videos.

1 - It was other people’s income taxes that paid for & made the Canada you met, liked & had an opportunity to thrive in. If you’re questioning why you have to pay higher taxes when you earn more, think about refunding the benefits you had when you weren’t earning as much\n\n2 - 8 hours in an ER is not an emergency, if there’s a life threatening incident, you get the medical care you need\n\n3 - Quality living costs money everywhere in the world, you get what you’re willing to pay for. There are $35 phone plans & you can use public transportation & skip car insurance and maintenance. US inflation is worse off than Canada\n\n4 - There are so many things to do in Canada, it’s just not in your forte. Outdoor activities in both winter & summer\n\n5 - Cry me a river!\n\n6 - SMH\n\n7 - Leaving Canada to go back to where you’re unsafe, unsteady power supply & almost non-existent healthcare?\n\n8 - It’s a huge trade-off, I left Canada 9 months ago to the West Coast of the US & couldn’t stop talking about escaping sub zero temperatures BUT putting everything on the table, Canada works out best for & I’m looking forward to moving back. \n\n9 - Which countries does Canadian passport allow you to live & work in?\n\n10 - This I agree, it’s a high regulated society & it could be a turn off.\n\n11 - False! In a country where 37.5 hours is considered fulltime? How many federal holidays does Canada have? If you’re working 10 jobs to stay afloat, that’s absolutely on you, it’s not a “Canadian issue”.

33 years ago I left Australia at 18 & moved to the United States / and I regret none of it / growing up in Australia in the 80s as a teenager was incredible / all these new immigrants that are Australian Citizens have absolutely no idea how awesome Australia was in the 1970s & 1980s / Australia today is nothing more than a dystopian socialistic nightmare - I was once an Aussie but now proud to call myself American

Absolutely brother! I am from \nIndia and recently moved to Canada as a PR. Previously I was in US as a student and lived close to my university. So there were always people especially students around. But in Canada I am living in a residential area and it is as depressing as you showed in your video. There is nobody around. Just quiet everywhere like a cemetery. I dont think I can survive here for too long. Moving back to India ASAP!
