Canadians are building their society with a complex of inferiority towards any confident person. They are afraid of people seeing the deep flaws in their society, which is based on CONTROL while fighting any single sign of growth, from personal achievement to collective endeavours. The system is deeply crippled, they lack an authentic belief system proper to the people of Canada: All seemS very fake! Mimicking the US issues and life style is not more working because canadians have their own problem that they stifle and refuse to face since they always portray themselves as “nice people”. This country needs prayer because there is a deep destructive lethargy that has paralysed everything. You can see that in the traffic, administrative procedure, people’s behaviour…everywhere…

The Arab world needs to help get the Palestinian people to get home ❤

I wasn’t in need of any more reasons to feel islamaphobic but damn it after hearing they’ve been poisoning dogs in these WESTERN countries (where people respect and love animals and you are lucky to even be there) well that does it

Only lazy selfish people who came to Canada thinking only about making money and building Canada,. Canada those NOT need those types of newcommers and they should leave. Those who came before us and built Canada were focused, worked very hard for pennies, and yet focused on building Canada. That's why Canada is a super power today. To the lazy selfish newcomers these day,, I would say if you're not willing to build Canada, then get your very lazy selfish self out of Canada quickly.

Caught in the middle of this is Canadian nationals. I rented a room and got 100 replies from mostly international students. all competing with citizens. The government and people need to consider the citizens needs before students.

This is missing SOOOO much of the actual story of what is going on over here. There is a lot of corruption in our housing market fueled by faked incomes just for starters. That's not including the massive supply and demand crunch we are facing on multiple fronts from having too much people suddenly, to having not enough housing suddenly. For those curious, you can find some CBC marketplace videos that cover some of this from a couple years back. The banks have been caught f'ing around as well, what with pushing through mortgage requests that should never have been allowed to occur; and that's just what we know about. \n\nNo offense to anyone in this video, or anyone else like them. We know that a good large chunk of most of you are not at fault here with what's going on. But there are some people from all sorts who are all doing their own dirty little deeds, and they are culminating into the gigantic pile of BS that the rest of us now get to deal with. \n\nAnd make no mistake, what I am saying is not even close to the full extent of the BS going on. This is just one facet of it. There still is the universities mentioned that we need to talk about, whom have been fleecing internationals for years now. Or our employers who have gotten real used to having access to basically almost slave labor by comparison the wages and employees they would have to normally deal with. \n\nAnd again, none of this is being said to blame those who come here looking for a better life. If anything, I want to apologize for the BS you found here as well, that was well hidden by the BS masters who got you to come here. \n\nBut just like how oxygen feeds a fire without necessarily meaning to... well... let's just say that a downturn in applications is a really good thing for us right now. \n\nCome if you want, but don't come unprepared. You will regret it. Sorry, seriously.

Biden is mentally incompetent as evidenced by his inability to navigate state appearances without prompting and reminders from staff. Also his memory gaps during speeches should be concerning due to it's indicative of cognitive disconnect and impairment. This is the same POTUS who has failed to craft a sound immigration policy and protect US borders from this mass influx. US national security and the welfare of it's people, stability of the nation are at risk due to the fact we have a mentally impaired leadership. The enablers of this dysfunction should also be held accountable. Biden needs to be removed as per 25th amendment and VP Harris take over to finish out the term . The American people need to demand policy changes to address this mass invasion. All border states should deploy the national guard like Texas did since the Fed gov is failing to act in accordance to Constitutional standard and laws to prevent these border breaches. .the POTUS is derelict in his duty to secure the homeland. . Also Mexico should be held to account for failure to secure their points of entry bordering the US. Breaking into a sovereign nation is illegal and unlawful. Doing it on masse is criminal. They need to put that energy into fixing their own country.

Europe should put up a similar answer.\nWe have enough people here that need to go home already.

About time we need less people here we ought to take care of our own citizens

Too many people, not enough jobs and not enough housing. Govt and the education sector need your money but they don't really care what you have to do to give them their money.

It's sad to hear the failures of government and society of such a beautiful country. USA was ruined by its people and greedy government and now Canada. I need another planet to settle for better life.?

In Canada, healthcare is the worst. If you're sick and need to see a doctor, you will have to wait more than a month to get an appointment with a doctor and for a blood test or any other test, it will take three to four months to get an appointment. People battle here 5-6 months with extreme winter and snow. The Immigration process is very very slow. The officials just don't care. Nowadays, Ukrainians get everything very quickly, such as PR.

Oh see this is what our news needs to show not painting them as some sort of evil people cause they wont take them in when that is not the case this man is right and respect for how calm he is

Educated people with college degrees from other nations can't work right away in their profession because they require canadian experience and bla bla bla. The cost of living is very high, they tax you for breathing, small job market overall. Canada needs to be more flexible in professionals with experience in their fields. They are not looking to be working in fast food chains or anything like that having experience. Canada is a hard place to start from zero knowing the reasons above.

Regular Canadians don’t even want to live here anymore. The finance situation is absolutely broken. It’s mathematically impossible for people to live here let alone immigrate her. \n\nImmigration is a huge part of this country but when you dump 500,000+ more people every year AND THERES LITERALLY NO HOUSING AVAILABLE. We need to cap on immigration until we see a bigger flux of real estate. \n\nThat also means we need to cap on foreign buyers buying out all the new buildings we make. Well canada now needs to be canadians first, it is unfortunate for those people but it is what it is. Every country has its own issues, people just need to make the best of it in thier own countries.

I hope they pass the word around so we get fewer illegals and economic migrants. Canada has to get its house in order for its own people not for all the people coming without being properly vetted according to our “not so good” immigration Law. Our country has many serious problems to address and fix i.e., health care, military funding, police funding, housing, affordable food. We need our borders strengthened and we need a government that puts the citizens first, not a government leader who with his every off the wall action makes us look an easy touch for the criminal element roaming the world. An excellent example of that is the horror story that is New York City.

There is no point of leaving India for Canada. I understand you need to be highly competitive in India to get a good paying private sector job.Indians with its highest growth rate can be entrepreneurs and have descent life than misery of Canada . India’s urban infrastructure is a cause of concern as it is governed by corrupt local bodies . If the Modi govt. take over them for atleast cities of over 1Million lots of people will completely avoid going out. India need to develop infrastructure of its 6 biggest cities on par with western nations.

The article claims that for decades, immigrants have fuelled Canada's ecomonic growth. Ok, but what about strengthening its culture, to ensure that in the long term, this country remains successful? No, from what i have seen, the breakneck rate of immigration has hollowed out Canada's culture. What I see around me are newcomers that are not being integrated, or that outright refuse to, or are openly hostile to the host culture. How any of these people believe that Canada can remain successful, and them also, as a result, is beyond me. To me, it seems obvious we need a pause and reset and I'm doubtful that this small decrease in applications will achieve anything.

How about you get an education in your own country. I'm Aussie and we set limits on our own people at University and their education so that they can profit of foreign students, most being from China and India even though they have the 2nd and 3rd highest GDP's in the world and 1st and 2nd highest populations in the world, so they should be able look after their own instead of jeopardising the education of our own, but then Goverment will say we need to increase immigration to 400,000 a year ( just hit 27 million, 2 decades before we ment too) of mainly skilled workers who got their skill and education from our nation instead from their own people. All of this during a housing crisis, cost of living crisis, small job market and overwhelming Immigration. Dumbest plan I've ever heard.

When there is more immigration than needed some will leave. Reverse immigration happens in every country. Do I care people leaving? No. We are getting lots of people to do jobs nobody here want to do. 500,000 X 0.825 = 412,500( left) every year(new immigrants). That is one percent of the population as it should be. \nOnly thing that is a problem is the rising rental costs in university towns because of these excess international students. That is making rentals unaffordable for local Canadian students and taking away mac & Tim Horton jobs. Cheers.

I think it is the quality of the immigrants that come to Canada that needs to be analysed. If too many low skilled or people with unemployable skills are granted visas, then any country, let alone Canada, would seem like a tough country to settle and earn. Canadian govt seems to be lenient in allowing too many unemployable ppl to get into the country. This has resulted in an imbalance. It just needs a strong govt which Canada lacks at this point in time. 90% of the problems can be solved within 4 to 5 years if govt stops or regulates visas.

You should tell us how many Indian immigrants actually went back to India . Not many . I have seen 20% interest rate here and you think 5% interest rate is high . Indian community is the richest immigrant community in North America . People move to United States and move back to Canada which is normal . 17.5% left Canada but 82.5% are still here , what does that tell you ? There is housing shortage and that will be solved in time . A lot of these problems are caused due to covid shutdown and excessive immigrants coming from India . Question should be asked why so many leaving India ? In 2021 and 2022 , about 900000 Indian immigrants came to Canada and 2023 will likely be close to half a million . We Indian may not like cold weather but we are very comfortable in inside house . So far this year I only had to shovel snow twice and not for months . There is no shortage of job opportunities but One need to be flexible of courier . Canada still tops in most standards and consistently in top 10 among all countries of the world .

Regardless of all the mud-slinging in the comments, I strongly advise any prospective immigrants to Canada to consider their situation/ aspirations seriously before making the move to Canada. While Canada is indeed a beautiful country, especially from spring to fall, there is no doubt that it has fallen behind severely in recent years. This is a massively underperforming country and people (Canadians and immigrants alike) are struggling big time. There is a massive leadership problem in Canada, where trivial problems get 99% of the attention. Real problems (which are easily solvable by the way) get little to no attention at all. Either there is very little will or the current administration is simply incompetent. Either way, some structural changes need to happen before Canada can recover.

I was just forced by my husband to come here in 2010. I never plan to live abroad but I went for the sake of the kids and dont want regret. My husband is mentally ill even before we got married(family took advantage of me when they saw I was an independent widow that time). Upon arriving here, nothing was prepared,no beds no nothing just the social housing and he was already orienting me to get food from food bank and simply convinced me to follow here for the child benefits,free education and healthcare. Let me just mention, the family of my husband is claiming they were rich and prominent in the Philippines. Fast forward....14 years after, he didnt get a house for us....I just ran after him for child support....he didnt finish the divorce process that I ask him to do upon arrival....now, that its time for him to pay tution fee for college, he is mad! He is so desperate that he brainwashed one of his sons to blame me and make me feel like the whole thing is my fault! My son almost killed me last time bec his dad getting sympathy and ranting that he has no money. This is the biggest regret of my life......I believe if my sons are educated and grew up in the Philippines, they are more happy and was able to tap all their talents and intelligence. I am done here! And for people telling me that the money we earn here we dont get in the Philippines....sorry, my peace of mind and dignity has no price tag. I am not materialistic too. Respect to humanity is all we need!

The Arab world's not going to help anybody cuz it's not a money maker these people need food and water their children. They're women. The families are all dying over there. Is anybody even care at all? I think we could just think Hamas for all this killing and war that's gone on seeing that they started it all? and seems to me the only one is suffering. I do not buy this story. I was born in Canada in the 50s into a very modest farm lifestyle. I easily jumped several levels and retired wealthy. I am very happy with Canada.\nThe problem is our housing costs are super high. We are bringing people into the country faster than we can grow infrastructure. Back off on immigration for 5 years, and then we'll be fine. We also need to invest in an overtaxed health care system.\nIt is safe, rich, free and full of opportunities. Canada deserves it's place in the list of best places on the planet to live.

These people are lying. They go after short skirted women and gay people. It isn't just alcohol, they are forcing their fanatical religion upon everybody else. If they want sharia then let them go back to the hell holes they ran from. The people they harassed were doing nothing illegal. He completely eliminated any chance of her question to be answered in a way that promotes a positive outcome for the Palestinian people that might bring a solution using the help of other Arabs to help their fellow Muslims in their time of need. let's be honest as an international student I am in awe of how some internationals can study in Canada when they can't even speak English properly .. when I came here I needed to pass IELTS and get a band 7 for everything all my documents and transcripts were directly sent from the official email of my institution. I need to pass an exam before enrolling for my course, I have criminal, abuse registry, and child registry checks in my country and even when I am in Canada. Did all the immunizations needed and abide by their law i need to submit all these documents every 6 months access. to the policy of the program I am doing. And as an international remember you are coming to Canada they have their own culture so you need to respect and adjust to it, not Canada adjusting to you... even though Canada is diverse they have its own rules so yes adapt to the place where you are. And to them blaming the agency you the people who are using them knew exactly what they were getting into now you are complaining I did all my applications through DIY as IRCC is a direct applicant why need agents for application. Ircc should also question why a person needs an agent to process their applications. If they can't understand basic instruction and basic legal matters would you think those students will be able to survive the education system here in Canada? let's be real a lot of students are taking short-term courses, short like 8 months, and yes to get PR (I wouldn't lie cause that would be hypocrisy all international students have that aim, and if you say no just stay in your country). Now this a lesson to IRCC that they really need to make a thorough background before offering a PR permit ..and please when you are in public speak English respect the people around you... and don't speak too loud in your language when you are in working places.. uphold professionalism again remember you are in Canada a french English speaking country. And don't start with me about being racist.... cause it is plainly common sense.

People in ER have been dying in Canada after waiting for 10-12 hours. Canada does not publish these horrible things in india or in any other country to maintain her image . Free healthcare means no health . Aldo, not everytjing is free in healthcare . You need to pay for dental , eyes, mediines , physio , other medical eqipment etc . Canada has been lying too much . Only when you live in Canada for one year , you know and then you regret . Canada is doing henious crime by misinforming people in other countries . Many people who could not go back to India or whereever they belonged to committed suicides . Shame on Canada !

OK hear me out, I’m a Jewish American but I have always been quite critical of Israel especially in the last 3 decades under the Likud government it’s nationalism and imperialism, with regard to its settlements and attitudes to Palestine. That said… Every time we’re close to creating good world sympathy for a Palestinian state, the power-hungry radicals of the Palestinian people always somehow ruin the progress, taking advantage of a power vacuum, and it’s stirring up the people once again that Israel Has to be destroyed off the face of the map. Then on top of that, during peaceful times with momentum for a two state solution, something always ruins it, in this case it was Hamas, seizing power over Gaza with the statement that Israel needed to be destroyed. Then Israel made sanctions to try to make that government fail, but, of course, as we know, it only starved the people and made them angrier and then they did this awful, unspeakable, brutal attack. Hamas is still attacking to this day. If Hamas wants to cease fire, they need to also stop attacking Israel and come to the table and come up with a two states solution and accept Israel. Israel is of course going too far as they often do but it’s a tough call as to what Israel should really be doing right now, while their constantly under attack and threat from their neighbors in a very active way every day.
