I went to toronto a few weeks ago and it was infested with indians, it was really weird to be there but to feel like i was in another country.. thank god there is far less of them in quebec it still feel like were in america and not in india.

If their intention was not studies why canada give them visa. Canada actually can take interview or has facility to reject without reason. Canada is greedy to take 5 to 6 times more money from international students and so can give facility to citizens. If person become it is OK but country become greedy it is not great for region. Canada actually even not get the best talent of india they get average talent people who are little hopeless with competition.

Come to europe, there are Indians everywhere. The population of India itself is over 1 billion and then you have another billion indians living all over the world (caribbean Islands is full of indians, African countries, europe, Fiji, middle east, USA, Canada) I mean they are the cause of over population on earth.

It amazes me that his lawyer talks about what he and his family are going through. Im sorry but how about the families of those killed or injured in that accident, imagine the horror they have and continue to live through. This man including the owner of the company immigrated here . When you move to another country you must adapt to that country's laws. If i went to India damn certain if i broke their law i would be held to account. I feel no pitty here. Those poor young souls and adults who had their lives cut short because of those immigrant's failure of getting trained or following the rules of Canada. You come here you must adapt to Canada not the other way around.

I have an idea. Why cant Indians fix their own country and then they wouldnt have to leave? They clearly leave because of quality of life and job opportunity. Why arent there good quality of life in India? What is the reason for it? Is it a religious cause? Is it the government? I dont understand.

Lived in India for 31 years and done 100's thousand kms in good old Maruti Suzuki, most of the public/private bus and truck drivers are A holes in India. There are lot of A holes on our freeways/motorways as well but the %age is lot less. If anyone is seeking for a commercial license in North America from other countries, they have to go thru strict training else there will be high speed moving freaks. There is no concept of stop sign in India.

South Asian Indians are fourth generation Canadians and are educated, successful and have assimilated with the European culture. The french lady should see Montreal, it is cool to see Indians, Chinese speaking French. Do you ask why there are too many Chinese in Chinatown? Sadly the new immigration are bad Trudeau policies that India wanted deported back. Others are temporary honest Indian students that are being ripped off by Canadian wrong policies of shameless cash grab. Assimilation for new immigrants could be something in common e.g. free classical piano lessons for everyone in school. Music and language is a great first step in communication. The drug problem has nothing to do with immigration, it is the result of their own culture of drug abuse and bad Canadian policies. I think it is sad that the woman seems to be so negative without realizing the she has to care and use her power for good by demanding that no Canadian should be on the streets, this is why ALL Canadians (especially include South Asian Indians) pay taxes. where is our money going? is not the Canadian Government responsible for the welfare of ALL Canadians? we were the peacekeepers. I have had many interesting experiences at the Indian Consulate. But fortunately no one screamed at me! When my late beloved Mother passed away, I took the the tried and tested method which always works in India, my good friend had a friend who knew the Vice Consul at the Embassy, I was discreetly taken into his office, where I showed them my last Indian Passport, and within 20 minutes my American Passport was stamped with an Indian Visa. In the meanwhile my contact was engaged in a friendly conversation with the Vice Council. \nThe problem with our Consulates abroad are, they are understaffed. And with the growing numbers of our diaspora in these countries, they are unable to handle the huge workload. And we are not the most polite people on the planet. Hence both sides tend to get into frequent clashes. On the other hand I have been into other nation Consulates, here they all have a system, and an online form filing program that is user friendly and easy to fill out. Everything works like clockwork. In some countries the Indian Consulates do offer emergency services even on weekends.

Canada needs to be careful. India is obviously broken in terms of population. Allowing a mass migration to Canada is just going to break our country. Housing market already shows how quickly they're messing with the status quo.\n\nCampuses should have onsite student housing. If there's not enough room for international students in their own housing, no international students.

Yes I was born and raised in Canada and just moved to Alberta in a small brand new community and it's all Indian culture with all the houses worth anywhere from 1 to 4 million dollars and I'm the minority living and renting a basement Suite LOL. I feel like I'm in India visiting their country as a tourist??‍♀️

India needs their citizens to help in the rapid growth of their country. Canada you have no right to keep these indians. Let them go home they can pay for their own fare. LET THE INDIANS GO!

Being an Indian living in India I can tell you one thing that mostly people who are not 'good enough' in anything pay lumsum amount of money to move to Canada. For instance, most of the students going to Canada for study, lack foundational knowledge that should've been taught to them at school. Take a GRE-like exam by randomly selecting Indians residing in this area and u will understand what I'm talking about. Unfortunately, the current Canadian govt knows this and capitalise on this problem as they have turned the education system of Canada into a money-vending machine. Furthermore, no skill development opportunities and lack of jobs intensify these problems as these individuals are never exposed in a multicultural urban setting. That is why likeminded individuals aggregate and live in silos. Lastly, for my Indian brothers and sisters, I would like to say that yall should try to assimilate with the culture rather than live in silos. That doesn't necessarily mean yall should abandon ur religion and culture, but try to participate more in various activities associated with Canadian culture. Like Im a Hindu, but I participate in Eid & Christmas as well in India.. We should be open to new experiences, especially when moving to a foreign country, one should be able to adapt.. just like one adapts to the weather, one should also embrace the culture.. Try talking to people who are 'non-Indians', have a genuine conversation, find out the history of the place and various other key milestones in the region.. mostly engage in amicable social behaviour. Holding grudge & closing doors to new interactions would not solve anything, neither for Canadians nor for immigrants.. Live and let live.. Cheers!

While what u said is mostly true, I'd like to add that the top 10% indians dont immigrate to Canada coz the quality of life has degraded there.Your problem isn't too many indian immigrants, issue is too many underqualified indians. Don't allow just anyone to immigrate in your country. Allow only the best. Those who dont get into best Indian/ best US universities go to Canada.

As an Indian these so called students were dumb to leave India where growth is taking place and go to Canada, I think in long run it is good if a few get dissed. Every third person that you meet in Canada in 20 years will be from South Asia. Most of us are economic immigrants and came here to live a happy peaceful prosperous life and contribute to the economy in the form of taxes. We are not a drain on the exchequer - most of our unproductive part of our lives have been paid off by India and now Canada is reaping those benefits. Did British people adopt the culture and customs of First Nations- did Italians and other Europeans adopt British customs- same applies to people from India- we will be bringing cultural elements but do not overpower the locals by any means.\n\ncrime town in canada is north Battleford, Thompson, red deer and Prince Albert and not Brampton. How many people from South Asia are in tents, homeless and drug junkies. Go to places of employment and south Asians don’t act as privileged- we are grateful to the country that is our new home and treat the land with respect and live with dignity.

I am not an Indian but I had lived in India for 15+ years. These people are so corrupted that westerners will not be able to fathom. Just last month a state minister's (Prajwal Revanna) video was leaked on the Internet. He made 2900 vidoes of sexual exploitation and violent abuse of women. His father is a member of the Parliament and his grandfather was an ex-Prime Minister of India. He slipped out the country and is in Germany. No action yet. Asifa Bano, an 8 year old village girl was gang rap***d by six people. Four of them were police officers. These are the types of people entering Canada.

As soon a Kid is born in India, parents start their plan to send them to USA/Canada/UK/Australia. Politian's in India making it a CRAP country, so everybody has to escape.

There is nothing wrong with BALANCED immigration from MANY countries. The situation here is that these students come only from ONE country and the number keeps growing exponentially. We need an cap on immigration from India.

I live in India, and I can confirm that majority of the youngters here want to migrate to a foreign country. Even I went to Dubai to work, but came back and pretty much settled here. Many people resign their jobs and migrate. I really don't understand. Looks like it is a trend which will change in future.

Some of those students look much older then what I think a student would be. I shop at a independent grocery store not part of a chain well I know all the ladies that work at the cash registers about 2 weeks ago I go shopping I thought I was in a different country everyone working the cash registers was from India all students but let's remember give business owners a payout for hiring these students so the business saves money and get cheap labour iam against this it's counter productive for Canada.

The thing is I still would choose Canada over a third world country like India. If we look at the median household earnings to average housing prices ratio in Canada it comes out to be around 41%, while here in India this ratio falls down to around 21% at the best. Canada is still more affordable than most of the countries in the world. But still this is no excuse for sky high housing prices.

Sadly we have extremely weak leaders in Canada. Our Canadian young people thanks to DEI can’t find summer work so they can afford the next semester at school. They came under false pretences. Kick them out. I have no problem with people from India but any people group who uses trickery to come or stay in a country need to go. I am shocked by Pierre. Wow I had such hope for him.

This video reeks of Racism, laws (if they want to be fair) can never retrospective in nature/application. All the students who are already in Canada should have the option to be eligible for a PR, they (the Indian students) went there for a better life, they have their entire existence dependent on the fact of becoming a Canadian citizen eventually. Deporting them would be a loss for India as well as Canada, as many of them will end up with depression and feeling of failure. \n\nThe Canadian government must allow these student who are already in the country to apply for citizenship and make citizenship and PR rules stricter going forward. From what I know, Sikhs are upstanding and outstanding community and great addition to any society, Canada will be much better off having them, than leaving them in a bad state by deporting them.

Found out later canadian government have tie ups with these agents in india and are attracting young indians to move to canada under 6 months on PR by selling huge Canadian dreams filled luxury houses, cars and all that nonsense. Believe me canada is the easiest country to move from India and the cheapest one too. I'm glad i rejected to move to canada everytime they pitch me those ideas. So please do not hate indians. Even they're being duped by these agents and canadian government.
