LOL It's funny how when you talked about minorities earning less and then only showed the black population statistics. Asians and Indians are a minority, yet someone end up as the highest earners and are overrepresented in medical school, engineering and accouting school. \n\nI feel that there is more to it than just being a minority or having coloured skin... When India has the best colleges and education then this is what you get for thinking some other country will be better for us. You make the choose to go out to study so you are 100% responsible for your action.

Actually as an Indian from the south, we assure you this is also the result of North Indians wanting to settle abroad under any conditions. It's their fault too. Indian quality universities are not increasing seats and continously raising the bar for admissions are another factors. India's youth population is the biggest in the world and Indian politicians least feel the responsibility to provide for us.

Its shame what is going on in Canada. This is exploitation of the students and their families back home, who are seeking better life for their kids. It is the responsibility of the Canadian government both federal and provincial to stop it. I know of one family where the person had a heart attack because he went in to debt to pay for their daughter's education in Ontario. Once your are sucked into this system, it is very hard back out.

Really? Why does this government hate Canadians? Or is it that they are blind from reality? Canadians are struggling. Why bring more people here just because it helps liberals at voting booth. Immigrants expect good jobs. There are not a lot of jobs for Canadians born and raised in Canada. A lot of immigrants do not focus on work. But make it painful for Canadians so that they will quit jobs. Immigrants are party responsible for homelessness in the country. As someone who was an international student in Canada, failed and came back, I’m surprised to see this. What were these people expecting? If you can’t afford to send your child to an international college, don’t do it. If you have to take a loan and put everything you have at risk. If your kids are supposed to work to cover their expenses. How tf is a teenager supposed to work AND study at the same time, living in a foreign country alone, having no one close. It’s the families responsibility to do their research, what does the country has to do with poor financial decisions of a certain group of people? I watched the first 9 minutes only, though.

I feel sorry about those students being misled and going through such experience but I know that there are a responsible agencies and schools out there to support international students to succeed. On the other hand, I unfortunately witnessed some landlord(permanent residents) facing so much trouble with those with international students or working holiday visa like unpaid rent, breaking the rental agreement and damaging the property. Well, in my personal opinion, there should be a system in place to educate temporary residents before their visa is issued and to guide them to the right direction upon their arrival.

At some-point I wanted to work at Applyboard. No longer am I excited to do so. I'm someone who went through the entire Student phase and into Work permit phase right now. No college will take any responsibility. I had completed my post-secondary certificate from a quite well-known college in KWC and I'd have no job right now if I hadn't certified myself outside of college program. Out of nearly 150 grads from my class, hardly 15 have a field job in marketing.

It wouldn't take much research to find this out. Put that smartphone to good use. Even word of mouth amongst the predominant group must happen or maybe start a Facebook group? If Canada began denying students VISA to them in order 'to protect' them, there would be an outcry. All to say, it's the parents and student responsibility to do their due diligence.

I get it this is a issue of religious sensitivity. I’m from Canada and we cannot open carry knives or firearms it’s against the law, even pepper spray is illegal. In the USA the law differs from state to state and schools and universities have their own policies. Usually you can get permission to carry a kripan in school if the blade is not sharp and it’s hidden under clothing. Schools are always understanding and allow it. Sikh or not, religious reason or not, if you openly carry a knife strapped to your chest to a crowded university like the guy in the video did some one is going to call the cops on you. Have some common sense. Yes, religion is a right but it also comes with responsibility.
