canada is great country to immigrate if you come from money. and your family can comfortably bankroll your stay there. but if you are going too canada thinking you'll make money, well lets just say you will be brutalised by life there. the best time to move to canada is whn doing an undergraduate degree since you get to start from the bottom in matters of work experience and build the social networks along the years. it is sad to hear cab drivers in canada most who are immigrants were doctors, some even surgeons back in their home country

I have been PR and working ( oil & gas ) in Canada 50% of year for past 7 years. Buy house in Banff and pay ridiculous high tax. I am happy in Canada, but will never leave Russia. Wife and kids come to vacation in winter to ski and we enjoy this time. Probably biggest reason we would never stay in Canada is low IQ liberal government of virtue signalling imbeciles. World laugh at the western liberal and for good reason. \nGreat country, terrible government.\nI will continue working there and supporting the country with high taxes but will not permanently live there.

My family was given a stay at a 5 star hotel and we stepped passed veterans who are homeless and they dont get help . I live like a king have a large bank account and have 3 different alias . My wife uses her maiden name as well her real name and her new name . Most families I know get average of 3850 per month free luxury hotel free food free clothes healthcare free tracfone and there is no need to work anymore . My family has almost enough for a new home already and only in country 5 months .THANK YOU Mr BIDEN

@ Dream Canada - Hi Jason, do you know whether Indians staying outside of India can apply for PCC from India. I cannot apply in the Indian embassy of the country where I stay because they ask for a proof of letter (ITA) from concerend authority requesting PCC? Can help how can it be done?

Pakistan is a huge country with 225 million people. Leaving a country is an individual's personal preference however there are so many people who are honest, successful and happy in Pakistan. Writing your country off is a mistake. Stay strong, keep faith and stay focussed. It pays off in the end and even if it doesn't you will be happy to live and die in your own land. Long live everyone. It's true, fair system CRA do not take Extra penny and do not give a extra penny incase if someone paid extra they will send you back later. Yes surviving jobs are reasonable but it's very tough it's not easy for bugging. Other thing still Pakistani people's have all the showoff how much you will get involve in community you will get in debt easilly and its very hard for a person to stay in limit as of social pressure specially for Pakistani families.About crime and theft yes people's are honest theft and steal is less than under developing countries but when you live in congested part of city crim rate and theft is still higher and it is a fact good and bad people's are every where. There is cruption found here on levels from Govt to other but little and due to fair system trials people's get caught easily. Last being a Muslim and Pakistani working lady I never found any thing happened wrong to my family and me due to my religion and culture.The community where I live they give respect to your culture and believes and people are very respectful and helping.

Whenever this ppl stay in that country they will chage the country as thier home and made thier own constitution as Muslim country.

I hate my POS country, govornment that couldn't care less about their population, only votes... They promise shit and never fallow through. I'm so done....\nCanada seems like a beautiful country, with similar climate to my own country and from what I understand the norms are also similar. I don't see myself staying here, but all my family and friends live here.... I'd leave everything behind. I don't know what to do. Staying where I am is not an option (long term atleast), but moving away from my parents and siblings would be hard as well...

I am bit confused here; for example: I am an Indian, who has stayed in UAE for 3 years and I am currently staying in NZ since July 2019. Does that mean I need to obtain PCC from India, UAE and NZ ? Or the recent country which is NZ ? However it won't be an issue to obtain PCC from NZ and India.

He is not an immigrant. He is claiming to be a refugee. One cannot be both an immigrant and a refugee. He attempted to game the system by first seeking refuge in the United States and then seeking refuge in Canada. A person cannot stop around until he finds a country that is willing to accept him. Man this is why we’re having a housing crisis . Housing prices going up everywhere rich asians gentrify to avoid losing any $. they buy them for 2-300k above asking price sometimes double & don’t live in them. At least stay in the country long enough legally to contribute to society

This is whole story is kind of amazing and incredible. Usually people want to stay in the country they immigrated. And other countries (like the US) are always trying to forcibly push out / get rid of people that are already there. Here, you have strangely the opposite problem.

Okay. A lot of people here have no clue how the immigration system works both in the US and in Canada. “He should just have come here legally”. Well, most of the time a legal path to emigrating to the US/Canada just does not exist, and its getting more and more impossible to be granted asylum. In the US you can’t just apply for a work visa, you can’t just apply for a green card. You got to be eligible to apply for it. For a work visa you need a job offer first, you need proof of income and most of the time the employer will have to prove they couldn’t find an American to take the position. To get a green card you either have to get married to an American, invest at least $500,000 or try applying for asylum (which is almost impossible to get nowadays). ALSO to apply for asylum you need to be either inside the US or at a US port of entry. Try to be less “patriotic” and more empathetic. People flee their countries because of war, violence, cartels, gangs, terrorism, etc. They are desperate and want to protect their families and have a better life. If you were in their shoes and staying in your home country put your family in great harm you would have done the same thing. People need to stop judging, stop being selfish and start leading with empathy.

I think if canada had been his first choice then it wouldnt look so bad him asking for asualym...but the guy just wants to make dollars so people back in his native country think hes succsesful.....he could have easliy stayed close to the us mex border and made a decent living but no.....he got greedy.

I had an issue in a Calgary Shoppers but I'm not one to stay quiet. I tweeted head office and they called me the next day. I don't know if they changed policies but I haven't been followed since and I go into Shoppers across the country. Then again, I am rarely in Regina and avoid it like the plague.

I've been 6 years here in Canada ... It's the first time I know that when I used to be asked if I need any help, they were actually checking if I am stealing ... I never took it that way .. I always took it positively and that people are being nice to customers ... I prefer to stay in my naivety ... it's easier ... in the other hand as a part time Uber/Lyft driver ... from the middle east ... white riders were generally the best and most polite (apart from very few drunk riders) ... they are miles better than all other races .. including people of my own country ...

I love Canada, I have a lot of family in Toronto and have been there many times as well as Montreal and Vancouver. Tbh, there’s no place like the US. We have all types of climates and geography. From deserts, tundra, rain forests, etc. We have some of the best mountains, beaches, and cities on Earth. If you like cold weather, stay up north like Chicago or Boston. If you like normal every season weather, we have many places for that. Mediterranean weather in California, and tropical weather in Florida. We have it all. We have the best sports fans in the world and every sport is accepted here. You can even see so many people play Rugby and Cricket in many parks. Many great universities throughout the country. Best attractions in the world for all age groups. High pay and decent cost of living in most part of the country. Supercar culture is the best in the world especially in SoCal (my personal favorite), TV and entertainment, and the list keeps going on and on. I know that the government in this country is pretty messed up, but hopefully that will be resolved in the future. I also respect the safety that Canada has, but have to admit that Toronto is getting pretty dangerous in some areas. Plus the History of America is amazing. I really do love Canada and would live there if I had to move out of the country, but there’s no place like the USA. ??❤️??
