Honestly, you can't practice your culture thing in another country. Same is applied to foreigners when they visit India. So, respect the law and culture of country you visit and live in peace.

If anyone wants to move or visit montreal, you can very well make it without speaking french. The very vast majority of montreal speaks english as their second language. However, I still strongly recommend you learn at least a bit of french as the further you get from montreal, the less english speakers you will encounter (this can be as low as 30km away). Also, even if people do speak english as their second language, no one likes to get forced to adapt their speaking to someone who doesn't even try to make an effort to speak in the local language. So it is best if you learn at least the basics like: Hello -> Salut; Do you speak english? -> Parlez-vous anglais?; I don't speak french -> Je ne parle pas français;... And other basic sentences you would expect to say. More likely than not people will still switch to english if you know nothing in french, but usually people are more than happy if you try to speak their language and it makes for a more enjoyable experience all around.

I wanted to visit Canada, but after listening to the two of you, no thank you. Health care was an interest of mines, but high taxes is a no for me. To mention the medical care choice is another no thank you. I couldn't imagine not having several hospitals to choose from. I am counting my blessings for sure. Wishing you all the best in life.

Canada is a great place to visit but i would never want to live there
|
| 2022-09-18 | 0 |
Yes, I love Canada but the taxes are crazy! We only visited and paid multiple taxes on items, was crazy. Eight hours to see a doctor in ER isn't bad, here in America you can be in the ER for 24 hours or longer depending on why you are there and which hospital you go to, so please don't go to a county hospital, I have left went home or to another one. We learned that the cost of living is much higher and the cost of food, especially if you eat out, and the cost of gas was way higher than in America. Thanks for the information, very informative.

I don't think I understand, I see a video you made a year ago where you made your 1st Million, why are you still in Canada? If you actually made the million you talked about, wouldn't it be better to move somewhere else and then just come back and visit family periodically? Help me understand, thanks

Boring? Try leaving your living room and visiting the second biggest country in the world? There is so much to do here if your version of fun isn't just going to clubs. If you have no interest in outdoor activities or you're afraid of snow then yes Canada isn't for you. Stay where you are and don't move here.

You had to do a lot of work to come here. You clearly did not do your research. You do seem to not want to actually work hard. Posting inaccurate inflammatory videos bashing the country you fought hard to come to is kind of suspish. Yes other countries are corrupt and if you are rich you can buy your degree and your ticket to being a billionaire by exploiting other people. \nSo rude to think you can use money to get to the front of the line.\nWho is your stupid vapid side chick? Yes yes yes. \nWhy did you decide to move here?\nWhy did you not decide to move to US?\nNone of the things you are saying make sense from the point of view of a person who chose to come here???????????????????????????\nBeing homesick is universal to anyone moving away from their family.\nIn Nairobi age expectancy for women is 50????\nDid you not do your research and look at the globe? All of your videos of your visit show warm weather. You show it raining once. Toronto and Vancouver are on the same latitude. What you are saying show ignorance.\nYou used Canada to get a passport?????????\nOver and over you show that you are not very smart and did your research. Dumb dumb!!!!!

Canada is boring?! Where the hell are you guys leaving?! Canada is one of the biggest countries in the world; come on now... 10 provinces to visit and discover. I'm sorry but some statements in that video are so unfair (IMO)... Regarding racism, I think it's worst in the States and in Europe. I'm a Canadian, born and raised, and I wouldn't live anywhere else. No country is perfect but Canada is definitely not a bad country to live in. Of course, if you're not happy somewhere, the best option is to leave...

I can definitely relate to all of these living in Canada my whole life and working.\n\nCar accident - was recommend by the insurance to visit the emergency room. waited for over 5 hours, 1:30 in the morning I just walked out I had to work the next day.\nWork - construction designer, basically working regularly 6 to 7 days a week about 10 hours a day behind the a computer. Doing my own work & managing our other designers, and it's not slowing down.\nPay - only making like 25 dollars an hour. and I don't just design, I also help manage the construction, list the projects (welding fabrication), order the materials, as wells as doing a lot of paper work. \nBills - I'm living in the cheapest place in the entire city with my fian and sharing a car at the moment, so not to bad. But obviously if we want to buy a house or a condo I'd be looking at well over 2000 dollars a month split between our two incomes.\nGas - prices are high, carbon taxing.\nHomeless people everywhere you look, can't really blame them TBH.\nShootings and police raids right out side my apartment, literally drove through a crime scene one morning. Yet I'm not allow to own a gun for self defense.\nThree months of summer, winter storms, but I love skating and snow boarding so that's ok with me.\nWeed's legal but along with alcohol, both heavily taxed.

I came to Canada with high hopes. But I left Canada after six years. As an introvert life was extremely hard there. Suffered depression, racism and devoloped an anxiety disorder. I regretted the decision I made but it was too late as I spend a lot of money and effort to be in Canada. I made the money save up and came back to India. I am happy here and finally I can breathe freely. I enjoy life here and enjoy the freedom here. I still visit once a while but to live there permanently is not for me and my mental health.\nCanada is beautiful its just not for me.

I got about 8 minutes in, just shortly after you mentioned the United States. Oh girls, you have a lot of learning to do. Every point you're making can be applied here as well. Visit the rust belt, or families in Appalachia who have a history of coal mining, or the deep southern states on the gulf, or the slums of Los Angeles. You girls have no idea how hard it is to live here.

If you want to save your wealth, you should have a TFSA. The reason why Canada's cost of living is high is that the interest rates are too low. It built an unreal housing market. It is no different in the U.S. I find it concerning those immigrants in Canada who complain about healthcare, all I can say is, if you take care of yourself and plan carefully for your own healthcare, it will work. If you want to see waste, incompetence, and extreme costs, you need to visit the U.S. as a resident for a while. Sounds like you ladies should leave.

Hi, I am canadian born and I totally agree with what you are saying. I am from quebec however and here you can chose to see a private physician if you have the $ to pay for it. Also Montréal definitely has more of a party and fun vibe than any other city I have visited. BUT over all I totally agree. I love your insight!

I'm encouraging my grand niece who is in high school in the states to go to Canada for college and become a Canadian citizen. As a young black women, living in this society in the U.S. will be getting tougher to.live in.\nSince we live in Michigan, visiting family will be realitively easy.

No wonder my friend from Canada doesn’t see any essence of going back. He is enjoying life in Kenya, fact that his wife is black and Kenyan. I see them visiting for thanksgiving and that’s it, they always come back to the motherland.

I came to Toronto in 2018 to visit Canada for the first time, and I went to an Italian restaurant where they were obviously very prejudiced and did not like to see a black man eating there. My GF then forced us to stay when I expressed my unease staying in that restaurant, but the drink and the food were just disgusting and I believe they did serve us that way on purpose. I even felt like they spat in my food. For a moment, I felt like I wanted to punch the arrogant and condescend manager in a face, but the grace of God wouldn't allow me to do such thing! I am not tempted to come back there anytime soon!

I agree with most of your points, but as a person who immigrated to Canada 23 years ago, I am still happy that i did it, grateful for the opportunities that Canada offered to me, even though i had to work hard for everything. Few points i want to make for those who consider immigrating:\n1. Uprooting yourself from your country, and starting from the bottom in a foreign country is difficult, and not for everyone. Sometimes, when immigrants go back to visit their home countries, they try to present themselves as successful, and tend to exaggerate the positives. Having realistic expectations is crucial, do a thorough research beforehand, prepare yourself, and you will have better chances to succeed.\n2. I also lived in US for almost 2 years: US is better if you want to do business, or if you are highly specialized (IT, healthcare, etc.), but i wouldn't raise children there, even more so if i were a visible minority. \n3. If you are on top of your career at home, think twice before immigrating, unless you find a suitable position before arrival. If you are in a priviledged position, you have connections, doors are opened easily for you, you might find it difficult to adjust without these things. Many people leave their country because of corruption, they will find that they have more opportunities in Canada. \n4. There are some significant differences between provinces in Canada: Quebec offers low university tuition, Alberta offers the best ratio between average income and average housing costs. (You can buy a new house in Edmonton with about 300k) \n5. Canada might not be for those who want to become milionaires in few years, or for those who want a night life like Las Vegas or Ibiza... but if you are a young couple, motivated and hardworking, who want to raise children in a decent environment, to be able to send them to school without fear, Canada might be a good place.

As a Quebecer, thank you for putting our Belle Province in first. When I clicked play, I was afraid we'd get bashed immediately and ranked tenth. I agree with most of your points, especially relating to the food, history and culture, and the natural beauty of our rural regions (Abitibi-Témiscamingue, my father's home region comes to my mind). \n\nThe only thing is, enough people are having problems with housing in Montreal, and home prices on the island have become unaffordable. This is a factor that contributes to urban sprawl, as a lot of young couples will decide to move to the North or South shores and buy a nice home for a lower price. Also, we haven't invested nearly enough money in public transit over the past few decades, leaving a lot of cities and areas undeserved. At least the REM might help fix some of that!\n\n\nBut thank you for making this video! I also have a lot of respect for the other Canadian provinces and have appreciated what I've seen in Ontario, BC and Alberta. I plan on visiting the rest of the country in following years, if I have enough money and time to do so. Thank you, and subbed!

I've visited different parts of ?? over the years & I must say it is clean & beautiful. However, the life of an immigrant is full of extra responsibilities that many Westerners could not begin to fathom. With that said, I will always recommend the US. Haven't been to the UK yet; but from what I have gathered, hustle money is easier to come by in America. Let's face it, some of us have entire villages back home depending on us. It's tough, but it is what it is. Thank U two Beauties for sharing. All the best?

In US, restaurant workers often don't purchase enough health care insurance. They are reluctant to visit doctors due to high deductible and copayment. Restaurants hire part-time workers so they don't have to contribute towards their health care insurance premiums. In Canada, you are insured regardless of your employment status.

Wow, I’ve learned a lot about Canada that I didn’t know and I’ve visited Vancouver for one day while vacationing in Seattle WA 20+ years ago. One day most certainly isn’t enough time to get the feel of a place and most definitely not when considering to relocate. I’ve learned not to consider any place for relocation that I couldn’t visit beforehand like I did before relocating to the west coast from the east coast: the world was a friendlier place believe it or not than it is now. ?\n\nConversely, things definitely change over time especially when you’re younger, but I can attest without reservation that people ultimately make a place period: unless you’re a hermit. In fact, we’re looking to relocate at this time and the first priority of consideration is the friendliness of the people wherever that may be, but the world is rapidly changing and not for the better from my perspective. ?\n\nQUESTION EVERYTHING: What Is The Truth (WITT)??? ?. GYHOOYA: OYE!!! ??

And if you really want a little Canadian treat go visit a serious British Columbia it has all four ecosystems in it I think it's the only place in Canada that has that at least it did when we used to stop there for lunch on our way to Vancouver maybe with climate change and everything that's gone too who knows but yeah the healthcare sucks I worked in the field got out of that field and now I'm very sick and need help and guess what no doctor I have no doctor and no doctor will listen so you guys are absolutely right if I had a way and the means and the money I'd be gone

I do have to say if you're actually worried about the cold as a factor in moving to Canada it is way less than you think. In Southern Ontario it gets to be -40C about 3-4 times a winter, and in the summer it gets to 40C 3-4 times a summer, so we have pretty diverse weather, what you should worry about is how many different kinds of clothes you'll need to buy to actually go through the four seasons.\n\nJust a quick note on Quebéc, even if you did learn french you will most likely be yelled at in french as they are for the most part very protective of french Canada and see themselves as a different country, they don't like other people very much, and the french is different to french french. Cool place to visit but not so much to live in.
