Thats what happened when their is no regulations on cost of living. Same as the United States. Cost of living is not regulated. When landlords sees that when wages goes up they raised rent. Even tho the wages are higher, the out come is the same due to everything goes up. An average person just cannot win.

Housing prices are so crazy that I just rent a room and six months per year go live in developing countries of Asia. My income in Canada is only 25K as a single retired person. No home. No car. I lived in Canada for 14 years, from 1998 to 2013 ,i was the most happiest person while living in montreal ,long story short, lost all my money in montreal casino around 200k ,left Canada for Australia with my wife who was pregnant, start new life wasn't easy here but im ok now , my hear is always in canada , and canadian ,love you montreal

Canadians are building their society with a complex of inferiority towards any confident person. I really feel for students who are scammed. But being an international students myself, and as a young adult, I did my research on the rent, job market, living costs of the city I was going to: Vancouver. I knew it wasnt gonna be easy from the get go, I struggled but dedicated to school and to my part time job. My personal experience was that most of these students do not focus on their assignments and rely on others to do their part. It was 10x more stressful and, sadly, my strategy to survive (and my friends’) school was to avoid doing school projects with students from one particular country. And worst yet, professors would turn a blind eye to this systemic situation cause I guess everyone was paying their tuition fees.

I pay over $4000 mortgage on a 420k house I bought 7 years ago, used to be $1300, worked so hard for 18 years to be able to buy a house. Property taxes are $350 a month, groceries are tripled.. every single person is suffering. I’m thinking it’s about time to have a change in the system.

As a person living for around twenty years in Canada, the real problem is too much supply of human resources from outside Canada especially from India. This is around 35% and trying to concentrate in certain areas of Canada. This has caused too much burden on Health care, Transportation, housing, and other public services in those areas. Unlike the time I migrated to Canada, all places are now overcrowded. There are not enough job opportunities due to the large influx of students. Thousands of applicants for one job from the day they arrive here. You can get some idea of how many applied on the job site Indeed. This has resulted in companies and job agencies exploiting students by paying low wages and firing them indiscriminately. Therefore, both the Canadian government and the Indian government have a role to play and Students too should be aware of the real situation here.

Let me say it, u didn't do ur research before moving abroad, abroad life is not for lazy ppl who don't want to work on their own. Didn't u know how was the life abroad wen u have ur relatives there. I am an international student from India doing bachelor’s here and I completely agree with the fact that they need to slow it down just for the sake of citizens. Tbh, even we are having hard time here just because of the number of international students they’ve invited in the past few years. Personally, I never thought of having a citizenship here but now it’s just so hard even for survival.

Keep in mind for every one person that treats you poorly because you’re Muslim there are 10,000 people that won’t.

Dont bring your cultural knife to campus just like the next person can’t bring their cultural AR-15 to campus legally and walts around open carry.
