Canadians: can barely afford to raise kids in our shiet economy. \n\nPoliticians: why is the senior population growing!? clearly we need to invite more people in, make sure its the ones with the lowest standards too

Why? That's 5 million people every decade. Canada needs an immigration pause, to allow it to properly deal with the huge amount of immigration in the past 25 years. This only benefits the builders, the banks, the realtors etc., not the average Canadian. At this rate Ontario will start to look like Greater London, or Tokyo or some other metropolis - just a deeply dysfunctional one with crappy public transport. We didn't vote to lose the Canada that we love, and Trudeau doesn't have a mandate to destroy it. We can also kiss goodbye to our greenhouse gas emission targets with such a growth in population.

Thank you, we badly need new Canadians or we will become a third world country without these people who have to pass one of the most difficult immigration processes and increase the wealth of our country and create jobs

What the HELL! We can't even shelter our seniors and veterans. A large number of Canadians are homeless 2 to 5 years waiting lists for seniors and low income housing.\n\nI'm not against immigration or immigrants, but lets take care of our own citizens ... the ones born and raised here and paying taxes for all their lives.

We say anything about immigrants, we are racist so...\n\nWe need to stop, and focus on the ones we have. The amount of immigrants I've met/interacted with(grew up in TO) that don't trust the system, cops or gov cause they never trusted them in their previous country is saddening. Others come, acknowledge where they came from, realize it's a paradise here and intergrates well. \nThe bad AND ignorant ones come here, spread the paranoia, distance and racism. Just redirected from a traumatic past.\nWe were fine with immigration, than the ultra wave of culture shock came, and now it's chaos due to long term culture shock.\nWe need to integrate the ones we have, but libs and gov doesn't want that, they want chaos and they're using some immigrants as pawns and canadians of all races that dont agree as the selected predator.\n It's not about race, gender or creed, because all those are part of the fringe. We are Canadians... and all the haters are just moody tourists(including them ones born here and spreading the hate).\n\nSo if I'm racist, I can live with that. Too much made up stuff now, I'm not even sure if these demons know what racism and discrimination are anymore. ...they certainly don't know what discussion, inclusion and tolerance is.

It makes me angry that the ones who were lucky enough to study and eventually live in Canada would turn around and start a company that fully takes advantage of someone who wants the Canadian Dream as well. Completely heartless ❗

When i went to Canada for my studies in 2015 at Fleming College, the class had only four international students. Three Indians and one Nigerian.\nIn 2017, the same class admitted 100+ Indian International students and 3 Canadian students.\nI left Canada in 2016.\nIt's not worth spending so much money to live in a Tundra, just to pay taxes.

It's not the good Canadians, but the one who came to Canada from other countries who are scammers. Which country got lots of scammers.

So no one is taking responsibility on the side of the Canadian government.

Just do one thing, limit number of international students to 60% - 70% in every college. And college cannot be started if rest 30% - 40% of seats for domestic students is not filled first. If any college wants to go for international students only, then their admission process/audit should go through Canadian government. So there is no exploitation of international students.

I live in Ottawa and I’m going to move to Texas real soon. One thing about Canadians is that they r fake. They pretend to nice or be your friend but they will try to sabotage u. Yeah it's hard to find a job and keep the job in Canada. Even with a job that doesn't require education and anybody can do, I come across someone who is not happy with me being there and they try to find reasons why I shouldn't work there ?it happened 16 years ago when I first got into workforce and it happened not too long ago again. I was inventory clerk counting products at different stores. I believe I was an accurate counter and someone who recounted them told my manager I wasn't good. She said many of them I counted were either off or she couldn't understand my writing. And the manager had to have a talk with me. I can honestly say I was better counter than she was. And I feel very confident I was very careful with counting that day too. But she thought otherwise. I couldn't bear working with someone or some people who didn't appreciate my work or my presence there so I had to quit. It will happen again and I thought it wouldn't matter how accurate I am at counting. One of my Canadian colleagues once told me that it's okay for immigrants to live in Canada but it's not okay to work with them. I don't know if that's a fact but in my experience I have encountered some people like that along the way.

What about rent increasing astronomically because international students are staying with 10 others to be able to afford and landlords are allowing them which is inflating rent.. In my city rent has increased from $700 to $2000 for one bedroom apartment. Canadians are becoming homeless while my local universities is admitting 20 thousands international from India. Not a single building has gone up due to COVID so this put even more pressure on the housing market.

Canadian parents/students we to paid 30-50% tax when we work here. some of this money help to reduce our tuition fee. You guys and your parents don’t paid tax here so you have to paid the full tuition fee. Vancouver and Toronto has one the highest cost of living in the world, . Even we has it a lot trouble living here due to such high cost,so of course it would be hard for you too.

the part where the one student in India is asked why he wants to go in Canada and he says he wants a white collar job and the life he dreamed of which I would imagine entails a Canadian wife as well? In other words, shouldn't Canada try to attract people to do work in building homes and things we need instead of rent seeking industries like banking, insurance etc... that doesn't improve the lives of Canadians already born here (and in some cases go generations back)

I think it’s also important for them to say they don’t consider moving back or moving back in the near future if they want to naturalize as Canadians. Isnt it supposed to be worn under cloth. If you would carry ka knife(in eyes of foreigners) then definitely its invitation for trouble. I live in punjab and have never seen someone wear a kirpan outside their clothing. See these are kind of people who are creating nuisance in Canada and making it tough for us to go. You think Vancouver is ugly and you use Chicago as a point of comparison? Chicago has globally famous architecture, Vancouver does not - Chicago is famed as an incredible city of architecture all throughout Europe. It's certainly not an ugly city in the way Vancouver is. And it's very typical for a Canadian to have an anti-American inferiority complex that takes for granted the advantages the US has over Canada, one of those being a more robust history, a much more powerful and influential culture, and better urban character and architecture. the US has tons of globally famous cities, Chicago being one of them, and the city is certainly pretty. Canada doesn't have any global cities. You sound kind of Europhilic and incredibly ignorant.

I was born and raised in Canada. My family immigrated in the 70s. Growing up I was proud to be Canadian but after living in other parts of the world I can tell you, Canada isn't it! \n\nFirstly our Prime Minister is a puppet he works for the Commonwealth and whatever they say goes, they profit off all of your hard work. \nThey keep you sick so you rely on the health care system. Medicate you instead of solving the problem. Doctors are exhausted, rude and over worked, emergency rooms are a disaster and if you book an appointment to see your doctor...be sure you're waiting at least a week. If you go to a walk in clinic you risk getting a doctor that seems like they paid for a fake degree.\n\nYou know when you go to a mall in one town and then hear about a mall in another town that has really cool different things??? Ya, not here! Everything is monopolized! Same stores everywhere you go. there's a mall in Toronto called Vaughn Mills mall, when I was in Calgary they have an exact replica just a different name. Small businesses are hard to keep because everything is so expensive. There needs to be more indoor things for people to do in the winter. \n\nWhoever said Canadians are polite, has never been to Alberta!!!! I've never experienced racism in my life like I did out west, not just Alberta but also Northwest Territories and Manitoba. \n\nOn top of that they want everyone to be gay and not believe in God, they push the agenda so hard in the schools, they institutionalize and confuse your kids. We had a 13 year old girl call a male teacher a pedophile for pushing a little girl on the swing. He quit on the spot, because now he's worried for his career. I did not listen to the entire video but sharing my story.\n\nI came to Toronto Canada it's been 22 years and I will leave here and die here despite its expensive to live but people stay where they belong, where their soul is at peace and where there is their happiness.\n\nI moved here with my abusive husband at that time. Back home as divorce was taboo, I would have remained married n suffer. He moved on and left me and my child of 5 years old on the street but thanks to Canada, no one judged me, no one talked about me. I did not ask or took any help cause I worked 2 jobs for few years to make ends meet. With time things got better, now my child has graduated and working.\nHe worked n paid for his studies.\nI have not been discriminated or faced racism despite I come from African continent and of colour but my son has as he was young but he learnt from it.\nCanada gave me my freedom, my peace, my happiness and I am no longer discrimated by my own religion, culture and people who thinks if you are lighter you are prettier.\nWomen were and are still considered secondary compared to men.\nHere we are equal.\nHere they love and respect me for who I am and not based on looks.\nBack home my c-section was f up and I am still paying the consequences. After an accident, I had to go through a leg surgery. Back home hospital lost my file and made me wait for years.\nHere I was handled with love and care when the hospital staff learnt that I have no family here. They stayed with me and watched on me after my surgery.\nI love Canada and my Canadian friends and all adopted families.\nThis is the best decision in my entire life that's why when I die I will donate all my organs and help others.\nI am allowed to keep dual citizenship but I don't care about back home.\nI am Canadian, I have a good job cause I worked for it, I speak 5 languages including French. I’m Canadians as myself everything you said it’s 98% accurate about Canada???. I’m moving out few years agoes out of Canada and so happy indeed living in ?? so much freedom depending wich states you want to live freedom on money , health benefit , outdoors indoors activities etc…Canada it’s an empty country, empty land too cold and depress living and please check the population of Canada only worth one states (Texas)USA population. Canada only need immigrants to build their country and in terms of Govn professions their are very selective and it’s hard to get through if your immigrant unless your a scientist or engineers still yiu need to move to other parts of Canada to get hired . I Was born in Canada and I agree and disagree with some points you've mentioned. How can you come to Canada and not expect to wear a jacket ? lol... The price of living is going up all over the world, the last 6yrs has become very pricey in all western countries. Hospitals are overrun in major cities in Canada that's very true, but not in smaller locations. Boring (are you crazy ? lolol) I completely disagree. You just don't know where to go lol ... however everything you do in Canada cost money ?. And I completely agree when you mention that Canada won't allow you to become filthy rich (very disappointed about that one) ... There is racism, but not just from the predominant Canadians. There have been many times when the racism is from someone new to Canada. But i also know as a black person i will experience this anywhere in the world. Yes the racism is very high here. \nMany people come here for a better life but that is very hard to find now days in Canada. Governments here, on every level have let Canadians down . They stopped investing in affordable housing. They haven’t provide enough placement for education of medical staff over decades and now we don’t have enough nurses and doctors. \nWe need better educated voters but of course they don’t put enough money into education. It’s seems people prefer voting for bullies rather than people who actually care about the people and the land that feeds us. You guys were spot on with this video. I am Canadian born from Caribbean immigrants and all we've done from jump is work multiple jobs. If you live in Toronto you can't just have one job; even lawyers and engineers have side hustles. My uber drivers are usually tech engineers! Most people usually immigrate to the US after getting their visa because the pay is so much more and the cost of living is lower. An example some jobs I'm looking at in Canada pay $50-$60k base demanding 5 yrs experience with 2-3 wks vacation. In the US the same job pays $75-100k base, unlimited vacation, work from home 2-3 yrs experience! I now live here part time and most of my wealthy friends have moved to the US, Costa Rica or Mexico because the cost of living is too high and it's no longer worth it. No life balance, even working remote you're a slave, the cost of living is outrageous

I am always kinda of shocked when talking to people and finding out that they have never really lived outside of the place they grew up. It's really hard to have any appreciation or perspective on culture, cities, and people, if you have never really spent anytime in other places. Travel even within your own country can be illuminating even more so when you leave the red colour country on the map to a different colour country.\n The one thing that is nice about the country of Vancouver is you can always come back and it will probably be very similar to what you left. I've met a lot of people from all over the world who come to Canada for a better life. Most are good genuine people, they work hard have children build a life for themselves and become useful citizens and contribute to the community they join. every once in a while I hear someone make claims like they deserve preparations because Canadians act racist towards them. Hearing this I have to ask how have they been wronged? Who was keeping them down being racist towards them. I would be angry paying taxes on maintaining the land that belongs to the English queen as it is a case in Canada. One Canadian told me 90% of Canadian land belongs to her including all the national parks.

Living in Canada is great and lovely. Yes we have high taxes but the money is used for infrastructure, good health etc. about working, living in every Western Country, you have to work to live a good life. The amount of weeks to go for vacation depends on the type of job and the years you have worked in that company and hours you have accumulated. It’s not usually 2 weeks as you stated. Lots of people gets one month, six weeks etc. About the professionalism as stated, if the university of your country is a recognized one, you may be asked to take few courses to top up to Canadian Standard. Some people who come as nurses writes their NCLEX and can work, others take few nursing courses and then write their NCLEX. Canada is a Peaceful country. If you go to school and have your profession and live a balance life, you can buy your house and enjoy life. Canada is a family oriented country.

It breaks my heart ? most young Nigerians lacks vision and can be quite myopic. They keep judging Nigeria based on this outgoing administration. Administrations comes and goes but one thing is constant and stable and that's our SOVEREIGNTY, OUR NATION, NIGERIA. There's an old say from my country that goes: the cat whose belly is full, always find the tail of the mouse taste bitter. So the immigrant, like a hungry cat, comes to Canada for food( opportunities) and once his belly is full, he then starts complaining of the taste of the food. You ladies just named every single reason why an opportunist can't stay in one place. I live, as an immigrant in the US, and Im a physician, and I can tell you while the Canadian health system is flawed it is far better than the US. Your 8 hrs+ waiting in the ER is literally a standard waiting time...so please be PATIENT! ( just getting a little sarcastic here, i know it sucks!) 35 to 40% of my money go the government ( although i feel they take 50%) and life is not that cheap ( a lot of Physicians leave expensive places like NY because they can't afford them anymore! ) have you heard of HOMELESS workers in LA? ( some have 2 jobs but still can't afford an apartment and live in their cars ) things are hard everywhere, especially if you are an immigrant living in one of the coldest place in the world (btw nobody called you, that was your choice, so suck it up!) I hope one day, while Im still young, I can go back home to work for my people, and not when I retire and tired to have my people work for me, how selfish and opportunistic is that mentality! You started the video with an opinion not a fact. You can In fact gain wealth here. You have access to RRSPs and tax Free Savings accounts to help with Taxea for people earning over 6 figures. No one has tries to take your money, the policies are clear as day. You also have access to the Canadian stock market where they will allow you to keep 50% of your excess and tax the other 50%. Your statement needs way more context and a broader discussion. Stil love the video but we need to state all the facts. Also the mentality of me paying taxes and taking care of people is what causes my home country on Jamaica to be in trouble. Your little tax money ain't taking care of anyone. There are over 23 million people here trust me we are giving cents to initiatives in Canada. Quality of life, Security, Health Care, Children Support, Old Age Pension, access to great jobs if you are will to put in the work and start over. Again we can't come here and expect to just fall in. You just joined a line of thousands of people in your career field who have been fighting to get great job opportunities. You have to fight and you will be okay. Or do what many people did and change your career and you can have a special life here. Obviously nothing is better than home

Wow! How did you miss the Biggest Reason why people, ESPECIALLY NATIVE CANADIANS, are Leaving Canada??? Because the government, especially under Trudeau, is moving fast and furious through a Dictatorship and right into Communism. Do you really not see that? It's easier and faster to get your papers in Canada than the US which means you can start working your way back to your original profession. The fact that Canada is immigrant friendly and has a large immigrant population makes it easier for one to go into any profession with your Nigerian certificates and a little more Canadian education. As a lawyer, I'm yet to meet a Nigerian trained lawyer who got a job in a top firm in the US. It's probably easier in Canada

All the problems explained are true but they are here for a reason. It can sound cruel to make a doctor take an extra 4 years of school but you have to understand that the diploma they got in their home country is not equivelent to the quality of a canadian one. Hell, in Cambodia, you can pay 100 000K and you are a certified doctor, that can't fly in Canada.
