I am north east Asain/Canadian and i have moved out of Canada few years ago, actually lots of friends of mine also move back to their original countries for better working opportunities, basically there isn't much good opportunity in B.C. people from highly developed Asian countries like Japan, S.Korea, Taiwan, even China has a higher tendency to leave Canada, the future is in Asia, tons of much better opportunities than Canada. Also after i have travelled many countries i realize if ur rich there r lots of other countries that u can live way better than Canada, the house, food, tax is much more affordable and local ppl r super friendly. Beside the housing price in Vancouver is absolutely insane.?

I'm from England and have been in Canada 12 years. I completely agree about being isolated, I'm in Manitoba and will be leaving here for good within the next year and heading back to Europe, I've had enough. I am a Muslim woman. I lived in Dubai, Malaysia, Morocco and China. I would recommend Malaysia to answer most of the reasons that you stated: it is Muslim country, the weather is always sunny with rain sometimes, halal food everywhere, most people speaks English, mosque nearby, beautiful nature, friendly people, cost of living reasonable, big community of foreigners, parks and good quality school for kids and the list go on ?

If you flip the coin, it's very interesting to hear stories from expats of Eastern European decent living in Canada - And they're all desperate to return back to their country of origin because they say Canada is saturated with many migrants from the Far-East (China) South-East Asia (India & Pakistan) and Africa. They say they feel lost in all that. Some of these have applied for working visa's to the U.S. It seems every group of the human race has their own agenda for wanting to relocate to other places, mainly for comfort and security.

I was in China 21 times over a 15 year period, The way that country has improved over a decade and a half is absolutely phenomenal. And the difference is only getting more pronounced.

That's still hope. I really hope the government makes an effort to push the economy stronger here. Canada has suffered from poor economy for many years and the situation has been getting worse. It results in homeless people (who can't afford to rent a place), low salaries in most jobs, low family income, lacking resources in education, and a high crime rate, ...etc. China was like that decades ago and has completely exited the economy from a third-world level after moving the economy forward.

lol...I left Canada 12 years ago...Canada is not moving forward, very little industries to choose, very little roles and positions to offer, the work culture is slow, lazy and dumb in general. Cost of living and tax is high. The government is not open to welcoming more outside investment or allow more companies into Canada. \nAnd having Trudeau as the PM makes everything just worse... \n\nThe only reasons I would go back to Canada, for a vist only, is because of the fresh air and trees and quietness. And maybe some food that I like...and to see my family. But that's all.....I moved back to Hong Kong, and then explored opportunities in mainland China as well. Honestly, after my experience back in Hong Kong it felt like Canada is at least 20 years behind. And after exploring mainland China, it feels like Canada is 40 years behind. \n\nSo yea, no plans to move back to Canada.....because even elderly homes in China now provides really high quality service compare to the ones offered in Canada, you would feel like the Canadian elderly homes are a prison for old people.

I am Canadian, and while elements of this video are true, there are larger points missed. healthcare is challenging, but it could be worse- could be the American system. housing is expensive if you want to live in the large urban centres. essentially, life is good but takes effort, and there's a growing sense of entitlement... but all a Canadian need do is head south and they'll be missing it in a short period of time. I would far rather be here than in China, Ukraine, Russia, India, many African nations, many South American nations, Mexico,... This isn't meant to be racist or anti immigrant, but i must point out that this entire situation you're describing is worse for Canadian born Canadians that don't have roots anywhere else. About 50 years ago, the recently deceased Henry Kissinger went to China at the behest of David Rockefeller to open up manufacturing in the country and to use US construction firms to build China into a modern society with modern infrastructure. They also took all of the manufacturing sectors that were created, perfected and relied upon by the North Americans and handed them over to foreign countries they were developing into the modern economic powerhouses they are now. \nNow that we're poor and have no manufacturing sectors to sustain a healthy middle class anymore, we welcome people from the countries who received our manufacturing sectors and have prospered greatly from it to our countries where they continue to make things here economically worse by making us compete with nouveau rich foreigners for our limited housing and infrastructure. Again, im not blaming the average citizen, North American or not. I am strictly blaming billionaires who think they have the right to control the world for their own benefit. But at least you have an economically rising country that is affordable to live in that you can retreat to at anytime. People with only a Canadian passport do not have that option.
