Most of them were sleeping on the streets of Toronto because there were not enough beds available in the shelter to accommodate them. I remembered that one African die sleeping on the street. They did apply for the program that would give them an option for PR. They should hold those accountable who created such scheme. Lot of these people pay a lot of money to come here with these programs so there has to be accountability. Canada seems to be willing to take there money and then send them back is not right.

I live in Canada and have a friend with stage 4 breast cancer and had to wait for health care but her $5,300 a month drug treatment was covered. She is doing fine and with medication she expected to live approx 5 years plus. We have problems with health care but when it works it is amazing.

If the post Covid housing crisis were under control, Trudeau would have done something by now. Rent here is no more expensive in the US in fact probably more expensive in New York than in a city like Ottawa Toronto or Montreal. Yes Vancouver is an expensive place to live but not all of it. Who said they don't want to go home? Canada invites international students with a promise to give them PR if they can finish school and qualify using one of the programs. I know because that's how I came to Canada. Unlike the US where it's hard to stay and you need a marriage, in Canada you can use a qualifying job. Usually people sponsored by family to get PR, as well as refugees, are put ahead of international students as well as those on work permits. \n\nIn the meantime, International students over-pay into post secondary, as well as working off campus and paying taxes, but are always last in line when it comes to being granted PR. The rules change so much so fast, it's easy to find yourself out of time and kicked out of the country. \n\nSo whoever watches this will be happy that International students are getting kicked out, but the problem with too much immigration won't be solved because the country is still taking in so many refugees. Right now it's international students getting the axe and are the scape goats in ths game. \n\nAlso, the reason why Canada takes in more immigrants beyond the obvious, is because they want to eventually do away with property rights. So while people can cheer kicking out international students, it doesn't prevent the inevitable from happening, because the politicians took in too many new people.. \n\nAnyway, good luck to everyone, from either side of this debate, it's bad news all around wharever the final outcome.

India culture is not in line with Canada. The Sri Lanka man who stabbed to death four young children, a mother, and gentleman (roommate), it is well known in Ottawa that was honour killing. The father/husband of those children was complacent. Women and children are in danger with all these foreign men.

My child learns maths and other subjects in class 1, 2 in Italy in class 4/5 in England. We shift to England because of the disadvantages in Italy and Canada are almost the same. But Italian weather was nice .There we found articles of daily use, but at high prices, which are easily available in England. Italy and Canada are similar in terms of those disadvantages.?

India is notorious for its falsification of would-be immigrant/admission status. This is just a testimony to that fact. I am a legal landed immigrant. 18 years and counting. Been through hell to get re-certified back into my field….health care. I say NO. They came here on the idea to study and get back to their home countries. They need to get out. Yes….if they have skills to contribute to Canada and qualify….. then great. Otherwise BE GONE.

As an *actual* Canadian student, I can say there's no opportunities in Canada. I might have to move to the US to get a job in my field sadly.

I totally agree that immigration has been uncontrolled lately, a pause is necessary and students should leave once their work permit expires, but the point is if Canada wants to release the burden off economy, they should first deport/stop refugees and stop sending billion dollar aid to Ukraine. International students boost the economy by bringing foreign investment, paying taxes and not put burden if done in a controlled way. Refugees(not all) who take advantage of the benefits, funding wars eat up the tax payers money. What kind of quality students you are bringing that is another story.

Indians as immigrants have been a productive addition to any country worldwide, compared to other nationalities. But the only exception case is in Canada. \n\nThe reality is, in Canada, the majority of immigrants are only from a specific part of India (Punjab), and most of these people are deluded, uneducated and unskilled. You are 100% right, they are not there to upskill or even contribute. I lost very good friends over the years because they were not able to secure work visas after working, but its fair. Canada's system and social welfare has to be protected, Canadian jobs have to be protected and prioritized for Canadians first. No international student has a right to stay or live here past their studies. They can come back when they secure a work permit.

As a Indian living in Canada, I apologise for the havoc some illiterate unskilled people of my country have created in this beautiful country. Students in here if they want should contribute to the Canadian economy instead of working in grocery store full time.

If you vote for either Trudeau, Poilievre, or Singh, you'll be voting to allow them to stay in Canada instead of being deported, and to receive permanent residency afterwards. If you want them to be deported and for mass immigration to stop, then vote for Maxime Bernier, leader of the People's Party of Canada (PPC), because he's against Trudeau's mass immigration and he wants to deport them all back to their own country so that Canadians can breathe and live again without immigrants taking jobs, residence, money, and food that are supposed to be FOR Canadians! Maxime Bernier is the ONLY party leader who actually works FOR Canadians and NOT against Canadians, like Trudeau, Poilievre, and Singh do!
