That's fucked up and it makes really freaking mad. I worked so many years and over times for what. I got chronicly ill didn't work for 3 years and got SSI and I don't even get $900 dollars. How is it not about population growth? Especially bringing in 1 million immigrants per year? Of course Canadian government Was not building a country or creating infrastructure or logistics for these type of numbers back in the 80s or 90s let alone the 70s!\n\nThey would have never thought that this many immigrants would be able to enter our country in a single year, bringing in immigrants is supposed to help our economy like bringing in doctors yet our medical system is so far behind and it takes five years on a waiting list to get a family doctor!\n\nLet’s not even talk about the educational system where we are servicing foreign students and not taking care of our own citizens, not only education is too expensive but to live above poverty, while going to school has kept our citizens from education!

Borders exist for a reason. It’s not fair to citizens of ANY country to dump hoards of unknown, unvetted people onto us and our cities AND expect us to support, educate, provide healthcare and pay for them. People from poor countries think westerners and Europeans are all rich. In our societies we work extremely hard and sacrifice our entire lives to have a good future and healthcare if we need it. We pay a lot of tax to have safe cities and towns. When you dump thousands and millions of people into our countries we all sacrifice even more and cannot access housing, healthcare or social programs because they are overwhelmed helping illegals. That is not fair to citizens of any nation. The real difference would be teaching poorer war torn countries how to build fair societies. How to build an economy. How to develop a democracy. How to root out government corruption. How to be tolerant of other religions. How to take care of your own citizens!!

There is virtually zero need for immigration in western countries anymore -- legal or illegal -- and we citizens of these need to start legislating accordingly.

If the citizens don't take a stand this country is fkd. Government isn't doing anything to stop this INVASION so we're going to have to follow Europe's lead!

It is only in the G7 countries that the need for immigration is being called for, and the politicians of these countries do not prioritize their own citizens. They also have in common that they are invited to the Davos Conference and receive special assistance. Think about why China, Russia, and sparsely populated Central and Eastern European countries are not interested in the immigration issue, and why the people at the Davos Conference are not interested either.

I am from Pakistan and all my friends and relatives moved to UK, US, Australia and Canada. When I say all I mean 18 out of 20 left Pakistan and they don't want to come back to Pakistan ever because who doesn't want a better lifestyle for themselves and for their future generations but my father advised me never to leave your country because no matter what other countries will never accept you as their own citizens. Instead of leaving your country try to make it better. \n\nToday I see exactly that happening throughout the world. They want their countries back and you see their hearts filled with hatred against these immigrants. Sooner or later these immigrants will have to sell everything and come back to their countries. What a wise man my father was!

Bringing over temporary foreign workers (tfw) to fill entry level positions for less than a citizen is paid is a betrayal to both.\n\nYoung Canadian citizens are locked out of entry level jobs. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that when you let the amount of new immigrants into Canada in the last 3 years that exceeds the total immigrants admitted in the prior 10 years, you are going to see major shelter inflation. Couple that with a low-interest rate policy post GFC and leave rates for that low for that long and you are going to witness an epic housing crisis. But not just that - these new immigrants become fodder of cheap labor that pushes out our very own Canadian citizens from these positions, with the more marginalized ones ending up on the streets. \n \nThere is a Motel 6 in my neighborhood that has been taken over by the Canadian government and converted to temporary housing for new immigrants. All paid for by Canadian taxpayers. Why isn't our own government using these funds to fix the housing crisis, or help it's own citizens with more affordable housing but instead they continue to exacerbate this problem by letting a huge wave of immigrants that overwhelms the Canadian infrastructure. More proof? Notice more locked up goods in your local stores? The demand shock has pushed the cost of living for everything from food to shelter that these Indians who are these same new immigrants are resorting to shoplifting, and extortion! \n \nIf you are going to bring in immigrants to prop up Canada's aging demography at least tighten your admission standards and bring in more educated ones, with more liberal, more considerate and more courteous dispositions. As a Canadian i believe we need to stop this. This is not good for the country as its not good for our taxes. Talking about taxes a lot of people also work under the table (cash only jobs). This wasy they avoid taxes as well. Canada needs to hire undercover agents and make the fines to business owners so high that they would go bankrupt if they employ such people. There are also communities that hire only their people. I do not consider this as intergration to a host nation. A lot of issues that need to be addressed. Thats why i believe we need a strong leader to make Canada good for its law abiding citizens.

Well a father and son in Toronto were just arrested for planning bad things. JT allowed over 60 of these types of people into our country with no tracking at all because according to him “that’s not what Canadians do.” Never forget that JT wanted to force Canadian citizens to be tracked during his mandates.

people are confused. Immigration is Not the problem, accepting immigrants without money/ investment/skills is the problem. If u only accept highly educated individual or someone who can bring/invest a sum of money in your country, then immigration is a positive move considering the current population of most countries are declining with a lot of senior citizens.\n\nThe money these legal immigrants invested will help boost the economy of the host country, create jobs and etc.\n\nSolely blaming housing price because of the influx of immigration is not the whole picture, if the host country can establish a strict system of requirements for the immigrants to meet, and cap the number of immigrants per year, immigration can be a positive for the host country.\n\nAn army of Uber delivery immigrants will only pull the country productivity down because they need a place to stay and they cant contribute much to the society, thus, the housing price going up.
