I used to feel angry,when ignored by shop assistants,for whitees ,but I studied things closely,and found that whites dress up .....properly most of the time ,when going to these stores,and shabby looking white people dont get treated,better than blacks......so it gets down to the selfish silliness of the employee....as to who will actually buy their wares,and ensure their pay. Whites generally have a better earning power,so the incentives are aimed at them.

The white guy they used in these test is a lot more socialable looking than I am and I am sure I would get the same treated I am even being white.\nI also worked for best buy and was told to ask people if there was something I could help them with if they look suspicious and standing in one place by a shelf is just one of those things. That is just common practice.

When people get beyond the boundary of a person's color you will face the reality of what this is all about in the first place. Isn't it funny when we look at things like professional sports. If that were the case your basketball courts, baseball stadiums, football fields would not be filled. We all know that is not happening. And I certainly do not believe that all blacks live in this sort of arena. In fact I have a lot of friends who are black. All I see everyday is a beautiful person behind that face. The other thing is, that there are millions of Canadians every year out getting tans when the sun hits. That alone should speak volumes.

I live next to a shoppers drug mart and I see natives stealing and walking out without even hiding things and shoppers can’t do a damn thing about it. Never seen a black guy or a white guy do it but many natives, mostly stealing mouthwash. Cops don’t bother showing up unless it gets violent

The first time i travelled across Canada on a road trip, heading west, going town to town along the TransCanada Hiway, i choose a black friend to accompany me. I choose him because he was really easy to get along with and i knew he was an auto mechanics enthusiast, which, as it turned out came in handy on the trip. We were on the road for a few months. I grew up in a city in a little multicultural bubble of liberalism and was taught as a child not to judge others based on skin colour or sex; to be respectful towards people of all ilks and ethnicities. The thing is, i was young enough to not really realize that i was in a bubble. As we travelled though parts of Saskatchewan and Alberta, where there are few to no blacks in many towns, i began to realize that Canada is quite racist in the outback and little towns mid country. I was surprised and actually angered by it. My friend took it in stride however. For example, i was meeting people, getting invited home for dinner and meet the wife and kids sort of thing, and my friend couldn't even get a conversation going with most people, they just totally ignored him and gave him a wide berth. I know underlying all of that is just the fear of an unknown quantity and the fact that a lot of Canadians watch American news sometimes which tends to be chock full of black in gang wars, shooting each other and committing violent crime so they get a false view of black culture because the news at that time rarely showed blacks unless they were committing a crime.

Due to too many unhappy citizens of many lands, most productive, constructive countries are over- flooding with other nations peoples. It’s too much. When a person goes somewhere other than their own land less and less of these countries are willing to allow any more refugees in their country. Why because it’s about economics. In economic in an economy all things must be paid for. This is an Democratic society, almost all things are available through businesses. The medium of exchange for all ‘goods and services ‘ are conducted through the means of money. The masses of our nations people are not wealthy. Which most indulge themselves in employment. Employment in exchange for hours of pay we get paid.!The person most quailed to be employed are the citizens of these nations and not other nations people. What I am saying is that each land is more interested in their own home grown employee. So when you the non resident come without our permission you are the one placing yourself and your family in peril. Which means you are responsible for the pain and losses you suffer do to you either misunderstandings or non-available knowledge. Work towards asking for a better government for your own home land. And less people will be disappointed when you are rejected from lands who are already too filled !

Because of this I never ever window shop, if I go into some place I will buy something. Even then you get harassed sometimes or notice things.

It's supposed to change both the race AND the associated word between each photo, otherwise you don't have to read both. The test as administered can't be passed and its results don't have any meaning otherwise. You have to mix up all three things, the photo, the race word, and the associated word, or else it doesn't function correctly. The applicability of the test itself also fails if you don't adjust it to a baseline, as the idea of a 'zero bias' human being simply doesn't exist. Getting your bias down to the level of random noise is the best any human being can do, regardless of their own race.

I worked in designer clothes in another city wow in comes in our Dept three heavy black women I was standing among the beautiful clothes and all of a sudden my manager almost yelled out loud get in that dressing room now those three areshop lifting ... They were I didn't see them do nothing of the sort . I found 2 walking around the clothes and again manager said in aloud voice get in that dressing room this is how they operate good grief I thought this is crazy I don't see them doing anything... If it’s not “one thing”, it’s a “different thing”; most people in my socioeconomic position gets uncomfortable treatment in many situations. Personally, I’ve been a target for guys (of all ages & job status, married or not, a bum or not), to “hit on me”, ALL my life & I wasn’t taught ways to deal with this. It sounds “petty” to some people or maybe “flattering”, but actually, when it comes from anyone & everyone, it’s NOT nice! And there’s no one I can “sue”. I am Latino, more or less capuccino skin (with extra milk), I can say that racial experiments here would be very interesting. I finnished university and have experience in my field. I've been looking for a job for a while, not much luck, I'm don't get called to interviews that much, I only get calls from agents that show me positions in company that I apply for but 90% of the time get rejected right away. \n\nI have white friends, one of them didn't study university. It hasn't been easy for him either, but he's pretty lazy, I know for a fact he didn't search much and got 7 interviews in 3 months while I hardly got called for 3 companies with the help of 5 agents. He got a job for which he needed training, I got rejected for that job and I do have experience in that field. I have to say it hurts. Funny thing, even he says it's suspicious because he couldn't answer many questions on the interview

This is a great video it's hard being a person of colour in even today's world. There is a lot of passive aggressive racism in the form of discrimination on a big scale. Many people throughout the world seem to have so many stereotypes about Americans. Whether it is good or bad there typically is some truth in a stereotype. Overall it seems like you are enjoying yourself and no matter what there is no place like home. There is a provision in the affordable care act (ACA) that penalizes certain individuals who make above a certain dollar amount. The amount is either $150 or $300 for the entire year. I concur any monetary penalty against anyone for not having health insurance is outrageous. I could be wrong but I believe this aspect of the ACA was never implemented under President Obama and it was indefinitely suspended or revoked by President Trump. I also feel like I need to address your thoughts about the United States all about war. I believe the American people are like most other people and want peace and civility. The government and major defense contractors have differing opinions at times. Of course there is plenty of people who are war hawks but they are in the minority. Most of us are absolutely sick of war. We currently have been at war for almost 19 years. Canadas is one of the hardest places to get asylum or get in as an immigrant in the world. You have to have a bachelor degree or higher to get in, you also have to do 40 hours of community service and you have to contribute to the economy. So you have to contribute to the economy you cant just come and get everything like this guy things and all the 50,000 refugees we took in last year.

Racism has always been in Canada, dont be fooled. It may not be as prevalent as in other countries but racism is in fact here in Canada, I grew up here, Im a black born Canadian and dealt with it all my life. Mostly just taunting and name calling but one thing is certain, wherever you find white people you will find a lot of ignorance and even the good ones seem to always be a step or 2 away from a racist rant when they agitated. As long as they don't get violent with non whites then I guess we can deal with the slander and name calling. As a person with a darker hue, you will always be looked at like you are an Alien to them.

Companies cannot take the chance that anyone who looks suspicious is going to steal their stock. That's why they watch certain people in stores. Also, it is unwise to get into a fight or verbally confront someone who is having an argument with someone else. That person may pull a knife or a gun. The best thing to do is call the police.

Last time I went to BestBuy I walked in and passed by about 8 sales persons standing in a circle just talking about anything and nothing. went to the back where they sell speakers for cars and couldn't find what I was looking for. I walked back to the circle jerk and asked for help and one person broke away and the first thing I said was it must be nice to work for a failing company and everyone gets to just stand around while customers walk by and no one even notices. Looks like you are overstaffed and someone needs to do some firing. He showed me some speakers and I just ordered them online. Haven't been back to BB since about 2 years ago. Oh, yea. I'm white.

Moving to Vancouver was a great experience tbh, I'm of nigerian heritage but was born in Finchley, North London...\nCanadians are friendly and extremely welcoming ( Coming from the UK i found this so off-putting ) lol. Ironically its non-white Canadians i had funny experiences with.... from dating to renting its weird\n\n\nAsians under 27 always asking some crazy questions ( Are you an NBA player ) lol it's cute at first but after a while when little koreans walk up to me talking about ( You look like will smith ) it makes you think... To be fair these are not inherent negatives, But asian canadians alone did treat me weird i found, Indian girls i met all wanted to be with me but where also very ashamed to say so or let their family know, but thats a cultural thing so i understood.\n\n\n Of all the demographics White canadian and native men where the most welcoming and open to me, in my experience.. White women of-course where cool too but that does not really count, especially as a good looking black guy with an accent LOOL you know how that goes!! Its impossible in Van unless you are an Arab exchange student lol \nArab and Persian students studying english have no issues renting in Vancouver, for some reason!!\n\nI lived out the St. Regis downtown for a month, Looking for places to rent, i had seen so many places online and filled out applications but never got call backs, asides from 2 group showings i went to, i could not even set up a viewing with the apartment building i wanted... \n\nTill i met an african girl in school, and she told me something i found completely crazy.\nShe told me to make a new e-mail addy and to use my English name when i e-mail, then set up a viewing but to show up with a white friend preferably a girl and that if the owner is asian, i should look around, and offer to pay 6months upfront before they get a chance to ask what i did for work or whether i was a student or not LOL. Needless to say, i did what she said and It worked the asian lady asked me to come get the keys later that day. Its just life, as a property owner they really just wanna size you up, not fair and kind of pathetic but its not inherently evil...
