A South African who lived there a few years. Nothing felt better than getting on the plane to leave, and knowing I will never have to return. Even South Africa with the crime and load shedding is by far better. In many ways a man is more free here even if i have to live behind security systems. I can speak my mind without fear of some PC police and censorship, which is far worse prison. My standard of living is also far better here. I can ride my bikes as I please where in Canada I can only ride a few months and would lose my license in a month due to BS fines. And the people here are much more open and truly hospitable, not some fake politeness. I even missed the blacks here, who at least i can joke and chat with far easier than with canadians. I found I have more in common with black africans than with white canadians who look like me and speak the same language. We may have the same skin colour but are totally different in culture. It made me realise I am more african than western, proud of it, and I would prefer to live and die with the african sun on my face with wide open space, than in some dark, cold, gloomy place living in cramped quarters in some libtard paradise constrained by so many laws. Of course black south africans will not like to hear that whitey has no plans to leave, but this is my home as much as theirs, I contribute to making the country somehow still function, and my kids are also more interested in making the nation run than running off to Australia, or even worse, Canada.\n\nI am so glad I didn't meet a woman there and get stuck. Canadian women are very unappealing and too feminist. I am grateful I had my kids with a proper traditional South African woman, and can live in traditional Afrikaner society where men are men and women are women, and there is no place for PC, gender confusion, and other libtard ideas. And i could raise my kids as proper south africans that the liberal world loves to hate. \n\nI can understand why north americans turn to asian wives, although that could never have been an option for me. \n\nHope Canada works out for you. If you are introvert then you have a chance.

My family came to Canada 5 years ago. The main reason was because my dad had been busy setting up a branch of his European company here for two years. He wanted to launch this new branch and then retire early. Canada as he knew it was a good option for him to do this. We even had a house long before we came to Canada. And we now live on the west coast of Canada. \n \nFor us, the transition to feeling at home here wasn't particularly difficult. We also had enough experience of what it was like to live in other countries. Canada actually turned out to be a very easy country to quickly settle in. \n \nI've heard that Canadians can be reserved, but my personal experience is completely different. \n \nNevertheless, I got to know fellow immigrants who didn't find it easy to get started in Canada. In my experience, they were not very or only rudimentarily informed about what to expect in Canada. Their expectations were very high and they failed because of the reality of everyday Canadian life. \n \nOthers had similar experiences, but they persevered and ultimately arrived in Canada. Some of my fellow students are international students who are also considering leaving the country because Canada doesn't offer what they were hoping for as a better life here. \n \nThe reasons are really too individual in nature to really generalize. I think there should be a lot more help given to people who are struggling with their fate in Canada, because there are enough programs that they could take advantage of but that they never hear about. \n \nUltimately, it may help if someone just listens to them and perhaps has some advice, no matter how vague it may be. Those who finally arrive in Canada after years of a long odyssey and find this country something like home are, in my opinion, those who never gave up.

Neither we or our parents at one point are all immigrants; its just Canada is not the same anymore, and is gotten worse, not better. It's not good for immigrant unless they are already wealthy, and maybe a Canadian Passport is good...again, is depreciating. Can't event say $ in the bank is safe after the Freedom Trucker Convoy.

I’m glad I moved away 10 years ago. I have a better life in Europe than I could ever have in Canada.

As an immigrant born in Mexico and living in Canada (Québec) for the last 32 years I'm certainly going back to Mexico once I retire. Cost of living is awful and taxes are too high to consider staying in Canada.\nOur current Prime minister Justin Trudeau did help to make this much worse. Trudeau spends our money like crazy...and the worse is that he is telling Canadians that he does not care about it and he will spend much more. Better to leave?

If rampant drug use, homelessness and a high cost of living is what you’re looking for then Canada is your answer. I moved to Vancouver in 2016 from Australia. What a monumental waste of time it has been. If you’re not already wealthy, don’t bother moving here and even if you are there are better options than Canada. Ps the government is useless.

The exact same issues are occurring in Australia at the moment, yet in Australia I earn 30% more money for the same job I did in Canada, so I’m still way better off. Can confirm that groceries and things like mobile plans are way more expensive in Canada

I left Canada in Aug 23 and moved to Ky. Lower taxes, cheaper food gasoline and utilities. No trudope, able to protect my family. Much cheaper health care . I am older and believe I will have a better life here.

Canada is a country for immigrants of poor countries that think Canada is so much better than where they are from, but for ppl who already lived in Canada for the past few decades, then Canada has been declining, and there's no point living here compared to so many better countries to live in.

I just packed up and left... Never thought i would do this.. It was just me chasing a better opportunity... But that was 23 years ago.. And i haven't found anything back home to compete with what i was able to get in the Gulf & East Asia.. Year after year... It became easier just to stay outside of Canada.. Except for holidays to visit

I'm planning to leave Canada in the next couple of years. There's no future here and everything is sky rocketing with little to no evidence of things getting better anytime soon or ever.

Many parts of USA are NOT MUCH BETTER than Canada, especially in crime area and homeless.

WE moved to Costa Rica and are living a much better life than we did in communist Canada.

No one except a bunch of Indians, because for them anywhere is better than living in India (and no other 1st world countries would take in Indians any more except Canada)..

1: Canada accepts more immigrants than it needs and this causes pressure in employment between locals and new immigrants.\n2: Canada accepts white collar immigrants that does not need and they end up disappointed and working at menial jobs and complaining.\n3. Canada purposely using immigrants to support Canada Pension Plan and if immigrants leave before retirement, its a win-win for Canada since they wont incur healthcare costs at retirement so its better for them to leave so Canada can harvest new immigrants.

It is not sustainable to live in Canada anymore unless you want to be slave for rest of your life. Taxes and Prices are too high to live here.\nHealth care system is fked up along with housing. \n5 of my friends left country for better salary and life to other countries. Find good job is getting harder and harder every year. Low pay job does not even pay your rent. It becomes joke now what they did to this country.\nI have to fly out of country for full medical check up spend 2 hours and 800$ cad but i went thru test which you have to wait in canada 1 year or not permitted. Full CTI Scan MRI , endoscopy and full blood test, etc cost me 800$ and just spend couple hours without waiting so i got my result. In Canada it is not possible even you approve to go.thru test waiting time min 6.month. to visit family doctor 4 weeks waiting time. \nDo not waste your time.and money moving here there is only modern slavery here

Many recent immigrants I have known have left Canada because the cost of living is too high. From my experience they work very hard, usually working 60+ hours a week. After some time they crunch the numbers and realize no matter how hard they try they will not get anywhere so they leave. For those born in Canada we find ourselves being chased out of our hometowns because it is too expensive to live there. For myself it was either stay in Vancouver, surrendering more than half of your income to rent or move out of the city to buy an apartment. In the major cities there is a mass exodus of young people and the strategy has been to replace that exodus with immigration. The problem is that is not sustainable as now new immigrants, seeking a better life are not finding it in major Canadian cities. For those who already own property in the lower mainland the selfish mentality is to do whatever you can to deny construction, thus maintaining the scarcity and value of what little land/housing there is in desirable areas. Zoning laws are beginning to change but progress is slow and municipalities have failed to keep up with infrastructure so the growing pains is going to be immense. It's beautiful here now doubt but if I had no ties and a solid financial footing I would have left long ago. Generations ago you could show up to Canada with no money and thrive if you were willing to work hard. Now hard work won't get you anything.

Came to Canada from Iraq at the age of 3. Finished college and university. Became a military officer. Now at 33 years old...I am leaving for Thailand. Better people, better food, better climate, much much better women. Never coming back and will be renouncing citizenship. Good luck.

Im Canadian and I think the US is awesome. I have a handful of friends that moved south and they all love it there. Long ago my grandparents wintered in Florida and they LOVED it. Sure you have more crime but you have a hell of a lot more people so that's a wash in my book. We've visited and always enjoyed your country and people. Canada has changed drastically over the last decade, and not for the better. I really don't see a big difference. My 2 cents

Canada US is not suitable for Indian however if he young comes \nfor studies then ok u have to scary for better future. India is educationwise, and othe rliving is better tahn Canadian US but it depends oyour choice. One can be more comfortable in own culture and cutry. My friend sold everything and migrate to Canada. But now he's bankrupt and jobless. Thought in Canada can have a better life. But he is wrong. Canadian are so hate Asian people and did a lot of discriminate stuff. Now my friend got mental health issue and divorce. In short, he's became crazy. So before migrate, think carefully. Our government looks after immigrants BETTER than its own CITIZENS! ????\nFor ex. ppl who have been homeless for yrs R sleeping on the street, in tents, parks, cars etc. They receive NO help! \nYET IMMIGRANTS R getting into shelters! Some arrived here (in summer) with NO housing (which is ASS BACKWARDS ~ Y R U bringing ppl here when there R NO places for US to live let alone immigrants??!!) & they were sleeping in the streets/parks. Our Govt moved mountains to find THEM shelters in relatively record time but have done NOTHING to help CANADIANS who R ALREADY homeless (A LOT of them R homeless bc of cost of housing & NOT ALCOHOL/DRUG ABUSE!) I think most Asians are leaving Canada. I'm Asian and I'm about to leave after 16 years here, my classmates back in college left already with their parents... My parents left too. I just have to sell my condo and I'll be gone. Canada is just too expensive, the pay is SHT, and it's too cold, it doesn't make sense to live here, like I have lived in Southeast Asia and I think it's much better especially if you start a business. Also China is growing, it's both a great market and a source of goods, ASEAN is rapidly growing especially in the tech sector, South Korea is dynamic as ever, and Japan is begging for immigrants now and they have preference for Asians like how Canada has preference for members of the Commonwealth.

And funny thing is all immigrants have unrealistic dream that they believe they can live better in Canada rather than their own country ?

Genuine question for people who leave Canada, where do they go? I'm from Belgium, living in the UK and considering actually moving to Canada because I don't see myself living in Europe anymore... Canada is a cold, overregulated, overpriced, woke-ridden country, the only upside is the wild untouched nature, but not every immigrant appreciates it. Considering many countries suffering from falling demograph, one has better places to apply himself.

Life is tough here in Canada. Economy is stagnant, things aren't working, crime rate is up, healthcare is in decline, politics is abysmal. I can understand and don't blame Canadians who want to leave. But I have hope that things will change for the better.

I secured a job before moving to Canada. \nDespite everything was organised, I struggled a bit to settled in Canada, ended back in Australia.\n\nI’m happy to have one foot in india & another in Australia.\n\nSome of the issues i faced in in Canada:\n\nExtreme harsh Weather for someone with back pain etc, which I have. \n\nAgain, weather not suitable for both of our parents.\n\nWages are very low compare to Australia even after adjusting the currency difference.\nThis was my imperative requirement to support my family back in India. \n\nTax rate is higher than Australia.\n\nTechnically, pay rate is low, tax is high. \n\nAustralian universities offer better quality education than that of Canada. I need to continue my studies. \n\n\nI hope this information help someone as I wasted my time, energy & money due to the lack of information ?
