I hate Brampton. 5 years ago u worked there for a year. The traffic was bad, the drivers were worse, the air smelled terrible even though we were off in empty fields, and there's blatant racism towards non-Indians in shops and stores. After we finished the job there, I never went back. Although now they're also filling up toronto, Vaughan and Woodbridge, it's only a matter of time before they suffer the same fate.\nI'm considering abandoning Ontario.

It is about shared values... ar the very least attempt to understand what democratic values are. Cultures and Nations that are 'traditionally' authoritarian have no clue what being a democratic citizen looks like. Than there is when immigration is weaponized by corporate interests to have a precarious class that will not challenge the government of the employer to give them more than bare minimum dropping the standards for all... at the least we use to attempt to maintain the standard of vetting to be fluent in the national language... I met someone from New Guinea who had no associates in this country because they NEITHER SPOKE ENGLISH OR FRENCH!!! This is deplorable for this person now alienated in a new home kand because they should have never been given migration approval because if language barrier - than in these settings people love from their country of origin being exploited to here being exploited by their community because they have no way to access anything outside their community?!!!! Its appalling that immigration has devolved to this state?!!!@&^$^_

Lately I noticed a lot of nasty videos of Canadians abuse other country/race people. Yesterday when a co-worker cracked a joke about Canadian politeness, I said I have never seen them polite, but as bullies.

When I was young, people used to say Canada was the best country to immigrate to because it was the least racist country, people are the nicest etc etc… I got there and I swear even SouthAfrica and Ireland has better people. Well I’m not sure how accurate these videos are, as I am a Canadian of 4 to 5 generations and have attended church all over the grater Toronto area throughout my life (56 years) and never have our churches been more packed….(Toronto Area being one of the highest populated in the country)

I'm a 28 year old Canadian, I don't want this to come off sounding like a pity party, so I'll keep it brief for all and any of those thinking of moving here. I live with my parents because I could never afford the rent (and I don't even live in a major city like Toronto); my buddies moved in together and paid 1600 a month for a SMALL 2-bedroom apartment and they STRUGGLED to find an apartment. everyone I talk to is struggling and scared about their mortgage payments. My parents built a new home just a few years ago and got screwed over at every turn and on every level, their only saving grace was that their lumber package was locked in so they didn't have to worry about the lumber inflation. the job market is straight up trash and we're taxed through the teeth for every little thing. On the news we see stories about immigrants having to go back to their country because they can't afford to live here or find affordable housing. don't move here, it's shit.

There's definitely a money threshold in Canada you NEED to make to .... have fun and live well. If you're a lifetime renter, or entry level worker.... it doesn't make sense. My family is established from previous happy decades. But even for us there is stagnation and living on savings (many family members moved back to EU, and I'm thinking of it as I'm fluent in many languages there). I grew up in Windsor, across from Detroit. It’s entirely different city every 10 years now. The only people actually staying here have it rough, most pass through. Housing is insane, over population is insane, never owning a house is incredibly depressing. But what I miss most is the simple traditions. Like men actually being men, holding doors, saying hello to those you don’t want to. Being gentleman like always, showing respect, giving up seats for older women & children. Walking on the roadside & keeping family safe inside (simple traditional stuff) it’s all gone..

Canada needs to have more pride with the people who built this country which is Canadians who have paid their dues and their parents. If you're a refugee we shouldn't deny you a plate of food but if my neighbor doesn't have it I'll serve him long before you, these are my people - the ones who has supported me in periods of unemployment, childhood - you can pay your dues too or don't come here.
