We're just treating Canada the way they've treated us. Tariff for tariff.

The Canadian government imposed sanctions on Rwanda on something Canadians don't know anything about, and they chose to punish the people of Rwanda for their own benefits in DRC, now that the tables are turning on them just for tariffs they are crying talking to the american people directly as if they care. \nThe hypocrisy of these countries and their politicians is on another level

If I really want to make sense of all this non sense, in this 'alternative truth world', I will say that, in fact, Trump is surprisingly the best advocate for sustainable development! Because, if the tariffs have the expected consequences, trade between both your countries will decrease, meaning less trucks on the roads, meaning less fossiles fuels, less production, less consumption, meaning less emissions of CO2. Is it what Trump really wants?

I’m sorry that Trump is so unreasonable. Trump only cares about the income that will benefit the rich, himself and power. The tariffs will effects jobs and people. Trump is an embarrassment to most of the people here. Elon Musk help him win the election by paying people to vote for Trump which I think should be against the law. Trump is putting the USA in a very dangerous place. Most of us stand with Canada and Ukraine but no one can bring Trump to reason. I really think Trump is plain outride stupid. I can understand the tariffs on China as they are close to being more powerful than the USA… but why a trade war with Canada?? ?

America…you’re getting taxed on all sides - Canada, China, and Mexico. These retaliatory tariffs are very strategic as well to hit you where it hurts the most. Your farms and food supplies are also going to get hit by lack of workers. I’m so worried for you. Fight back! This man is trying to destroy your country. Follow the money - where it’s being taken from (jobs, Medicaid, etc) and where it’s going TO (tax cuts for most wealthy, contracts for billionaires). The SAVE Act is trying to make it very difficult for minorities and WOMEN to vote. They are trying to basically take over so they can’t be put out of power, only the wealthy get educated properly, the poor go to military service, and they may even start looking at invading other countries. Why create conflict with Canada? To start the narrative that we are evil…and that we must be “protected”. It’s all there, America!! Please wake up!!!

The question that needs to be asked is what’s Trump’s moneymaking angle on imposing tariffs. Trump only does stuff where he personally can make money. Somebody or some group or entity is paying him somehow to impose tariffs on America’s main trading partner and ally. That’s the only way this makes any sense.

Any automobiles and trucks made by US companies shouldn't be subject to tariff's as they bring jobs to your country. This goes for any US corporation who has factories in Canada.
