Why everyone is blaming the government when its clearly the college owners making false promisses and trying to shove in as many students for 5 times the regular fees in their makeshift universities as fast as possible without building them housing and puting naive people in everlasting debt because they graduated way more people than the job market could acomodate for that course?\n\nHonestly us high time Canadians start taking large corporations acountable for how they affect the economy, I say if you need more housing make them pay for it or they are not getting any more students, also limit the amount of college positions to the amount of actual job openings and a lot less people are going into college debt traps.

I came to Canada as an immigrant in 2020 and immediately went back to my original country. However, I feel sorry for the nice people of Canada that unfortunately don't have other choices. You feel that the Canadian system is designed to make people poor.

There is one very easy solution to the situation, home is not an asset and that is it. Stop giving tax loopholes for landlords, but tax them, make regulatory departments regulate, now is the time to do it. No entity should be allowed to buy more than 2 properties on the market. If the entity wants to have more properties, then it must build them itself, create new flats, homes, etc. Capital should not be gained by exploiting the need of young people and immigrants for accommodation. Shelter is one of the key milestones achieved for western civilization. If the decision makers allow things to go as they are, then we will rather quickly return to the feudal society structure, with lords and peasants, with haves and have nots.

At the start of the video there were statements made that the immigration: foreign workers and international students - is putting a strain on the Canadian safety net. When the narrator was talking about homeless population there was a video piece showing opinions of some of the homeless people. Are those homeless people immigrants? If not how can you use that video piece to support your point?\n\nThere was also a chart showing how shelter occupancy grew in Toronto and how expensive it is to buy a house in Toronto. Toronto is not the whole country, you can’t make it seem like the whole country can’t “afford immigrants” because housing in Toronto is expensive.\n\nI view this report as an opinion piece: there were some statements made at the beginning but as the video progressed no evidence was provided to support those statements.\n\nI agree that there are problems that are tied to immigration in Canada but you can’t just state something without providing a factual evidence showing how immigration is linked to the problems covered in the video. This looks like cherry picking, not journalism.

People never seem to understand that people are resource like everything else in an economy. If you bring in an unusually enormous amount of people to an economy, it will drive up the cost of everything, since when demand is high for housing, groceries and of the like, the supply won't ever meet the demand when you are superficially pumping the economy of an otherwise unneeded supply. The only way to make it better is to halt all immigration, especially illegal immigration, and reinstitute family culture for child rearing, in order to organically grow the economy.

People made a lot of money during the peak of economy all over the world…now they are on vacation…because they saw the recession coming because production halted due to the corona virus…banks lowered the borrowing rates to keep the economy going…only the greedy with no knowledge of economic cycles, people who didn’t invest and the retirees are suffering…and that is a global trend…of course the Indian state funded news channel will continue to defame Canada while everyone is suffering all over the world…atleast the western countries delayed the recession through money printing….this channel was saying beat a steel plate to make corona go away from India which the Indian PM suggested ???

These people are already in the United States...why go to Canada? Their asylum cases in the US must have been rejected for lack of merit or some other reason is making them do this. They should have gone to Canada and avoided the US in the first place.

Healthcare costs spending in Euro counties isn’t a fair comparison because it ignores the nature of the geography. Canada is the 2nd largest country on earth by land area and much of the country is made of smaller, remote regions where it is beyond expensive to render heath care services onto the population. There isn’t a single Euro country with a population as spread out as Canada. I wish more people would move closer to urban centres so that it is cheaper to render services to them, but the fact is, you won’t find a single Euro country that deals with providing care to these extremely remote towns that make up so much of Canada. We have entire provinces that are mostly comprised of remote, hard to access towns. It’s just an unfortunate fact of the nature of where we live.

The ultimate loser country. Even the winners are losers. Mediocrity and Evil feed off eachother and everyone else(the outsiders) pays or endures for it. How America let’s this internationalist rathole nation exist is beyond me. Keeping the people so disenfranchised that they are forced to become wageys for the bare minimum. Canada is just a modern terrible version of what the USA was in slave days. It sucks because the symbols in the coat of arms represent nations that flow through my blood ie. Fleur de lis, The Lionheart and even the Iron Cross. None of which are represented on a political stage as it would be regarded as “racist” or “white nationalist” simply for embracing what we are and where we come from because we don’t make good wageys. I’m starting to understand Quebec separatism as your identity is your family and family is everything. You can’t even walk into the local armoury and choose a life of valour because you could be working at Tim Hortons instead or a gas station instead, that’s how quelled of ambition or morality this shithole has become. All the collective social institutions that gave Canada an “edge” in quality of life index have been picked bone dry and no longer serve the people anymore but still Canada managed to maintain the most watered down $ currency known to humanity 50$ gets you a single bag of groceries ffs.

This lack of access to health care is a new thing. I agree with your assessment. It now seems lonelier in Toronto. \n\nCanada used to be different because anyone with a good job could afford at least a condo, but life became unaffordable not just for immigrants, but for everyone unless you are in your 50s-60s and own a home. \n\nI have friends working double jobs supporting family back home in other countries, but for some of them the family back home sound like they are doing better than them and own a home. It’s like they are sacrificing their life to be in poverty or full of hardships and their families get to go out for dinners and drinks with friends. Not them. Not true for everyone, but for some yes and I worry about their own retirement because retirement in Canada without lots of savings means you might be homeless or forced to live with family even if it’s not your preference. \n\n without investments and savings, it will be hard to beat inflation. Getting into debt and getting bad credit can mean not getting an apartment. \n\nThe birth rate is going down because it is expensive to have kids and income isn’t enough to match with living costs. Getting help from government is really not something everyone gets access too. One person might get housing support, 10 others may get nothing. Different governments offer different things. Programs end and change often. \n\nIn Canada definitely bargain and shop around for good phone plans. one idea is to get a pay as you go until “Black Friday” then every year or two when your good offer expires there will be many others. It’s the time with the best deals saving almost half. For instance, I have 50 gigs for $25 for two years from a large provider. Telephone companies are the one place where people must bargain and even ask for better deals as a must.\n\nThe people you see living in big houses, will have kids that can’t afford the same. This is because prices keep rising. The system protects the very rich, but will also drain the middle class often within 1-2 generations. Do not link your business to your personal finance, or creditors can take your home. Some not knowing this lose everything and rich people know better. \n\nPeople live until they are very old, so inheritance is pretty much meaningless to rely on, so no matter what your parents have you must hustle in life. \n\nI do think Canada can become what we want over time. Citizens need to fight the trend of great community spaces, restaurants and bars going out of business and dumb corporations move in with bad boring restaurants. Like a McDonald’s where maybe a popular cultural hang out was. \n\nPart of the problem is a lack of mixed income housing areas, so it’s hard to stay living where you grew up. Artists and musicians help make a city great, but many cannot afford to live here.\n\nFamilies and communities staying together means more support for those with young kids and older relatives when they need help. Yet how is this possible in a city that is always pushing out lower income people when wealthier people desire the area. \n\nIn Toronto, every time you move you have to take what is available and that might mean moving an hour away from everyone you know. This weakens communities. Plus, if you live too far from your work you will have no time to socialize for most the week due to travel time. \n\nI think those who grew up in Toronto do have a certain culture of acceptance with others from many cultures, because your friends at school were from all over. But with new migrants sometimes it isn’t until the second generation that their social circles get diverse. This can be isolating and it’s even isolating as those from Toronto eventually leave dreaming of staying in one spot and not forced to move constantly when a landlord investor sells every house you move into. \n\n\nToronto really needs to protect affordability of housing for at least some housing in every section so that people can save money if they live in the city, and not have to leave their communities and be far from their friends and family. \n\notherwise eventually people get sick of the hustle and it’s too tiring to travel 1+ hrs each way to visit someone during Monday to Friday. \n\n20 years ago any professional could at least buy a condo. Not today. There is too much competition now and investors are allowed to buy up all the most affordable housing that once was a pathway to owning a home. \n\nRich policy makers got greedy and destroyed canada and hopefully diversity in leadership will help make Canada better. But they perhaps people knew to Canada can reject this lonely structure and help us rebuild Toronto into an amazing place. \n\nWe need to make sure everyone can afford housing with 30% of their income. I think that will help

I feel like moving as a lifelong Canadian. I love people and love culture. I don't like extremists. \n\nMy problem is simply I don't our government is ethical nor caring to it's citizens, and as far as immigrants go, I am absolutely all for it with a reasonable rate without displacement or a negative sum on people that have built families here already. You can't just say we want to help and not give one thought about implications whatsoever. \n\nWhere I live you can't add thousands of people without thinking about making roards wider or more busses.\n\nWe don't look like idiots, we are. Let's welcome a host of new beautiful people into out country and not have a single plan in place besides pay for their housing (not necessarily bad), pay for their transportation (not necessarily bad), and allow a rent bubble to put our welcoming citizens with Trades to live in tents.\n\nHow about this as a sane alternative, the billions of dollars in road tax from gas prices which hasn't improved the roads, and the billions from legalized gambling...how about we audit our government and take a hard and difficult look as to where all this tax money goes, and more importantly the detailed justification? \n\nSame thing, same day. Canada has to be corrupt as the day is long OR our greatness was built on an history of lies. I came in Windsor Ontario as a foreign worker in 2009, wasn't the best time to look for a job there but still. I did 1 year of studying, worked again, left for Alberta in 2012 where I still am. Got my PR in 2014 and citizenship in 2022. Most of the things I hear against living in Canada must be true, I don't doubt it but I'm just not aware of them. I didn't even know there was a bank account freezing during COVID. It wasn't easy to get a good job, I had to leave for a small community in Alberta to get the most of what I wanted and that's why I am oblivious to the harsher reality that people have to endure in Toronto or Vancouver. But the thing is, as soon as I landed in Toronto and got robbed 50$ by some guy (this is just an anecdote not the real reason), I knew I shouldn't try to make a living there. I know job opportunities are in those big cities but please, if you can, there are great communities that need people, workers, consumers and families. If you can land a job there, move! At least try. It doesn't even have to be that far up north, nor to be a mini small village. Small city, rural living, no criminality, cheap housing, lots of space, family friendly, no traffic, no wait time to see a doctor, friendly people, douchebags, we have it here. Are they drawbacks? Yes of course. Need to drive 1 or 2 hour to get a scan or an MRI, car dependance is exacerbated but hey, it feels like a free country where no one have been overpriced...yet.

Hi, just want you all to know you are not welcome. Every other culture in Canada does not want you here, even older generation Indians. You will not find a job as companies will hire every other race before indians. A slow white will be hired before the most gifted Indian. No woman would be seen dating an Indian, at the most, a wealthy millionaire Indian might date an old, below average white woman. If you are hurt. Nobody will stop on the street to help. When you are delivering their food, they will not tip and hurl abuse at you if you make any sort of mistake. People will not smile when they see you. Trudeau our P.M. is really the problem, since this man came into power 8 years ago, he has spent our money helping China and other countries while ignoring its own citizens. His plan is to make Canada a communist regiem and distroy all our freedoms!!! Who ln their right minds want to live like that? People are loosing their homes at an alarming rate, and there will be more homeless then ever before. We are so far in debt. that only God can help us now, and thats another thing, christians are now under more persecution then ever before.

It's not a housing bubble. A bubble is when investors overvalue a commodity. Even taking into account speculative property purchases, housing isn't overvalued in Canada. It is where it is because that is where the market has found the balance between the high demand and the low supply. There simply isn't enough housing being built to accommodate a million more people a year. We need to build more lower and middle-class housing. As a student of both history and architecture, I can tell you we've been here before and we dealt with it, and we can again. This situation is both a result of many factors that could and couldn't be centrally controlled. Things that couldn't be controlled: Covid and a spike in retirement rates, an aging population, low profit margins for builders, and inflation (that last one is not so easy for a central bank to control as many people seem to think it is). Factors that could be controlled: Zoning laws and bylaws, linking immigration to the amount of housing available and being built, government greed for foreign money to balance their books, short-sighted politicians of all stripes, underfunding of post-secondary education, and lack of government incentives to make building worthwhile for contractors. I've probably missed some things, but the point is that this is not an intractable predicament, and good leadership, good ideas and the will to make things happen can get us out of it.

This country has never been good lived here for 38 years in small towns and the small towns are exsesivly criminal cult like and act like independent countries seperate from Canada I have had many family members die from lack of health care and I myself spent 6 years being sick with no diagnosis and malked and patronized the entire time took 5 years to find out I had a leasion in my stomach and almost 7 to find out I had a hiadious hurnea I was a happy home owner and was forced out of my house by fraud which I have proof of so one of the cool kids could have a house police in this country and you can just google the amount of times people have reported to police and nothing was done the biggest criminal organization is the police and just like they did to the Mofia made Reco laws they need to bring out new laws for charging corrupt criminal lazy incompatant police because there are millions of them out court systems are a joke I tried a civil prosecution against people who have committed crimes against me and was denied to go infront of a judge because I was part native and had proof of white crime I'm a 20 licensed mechanic and have to live in my car because I can't afford rent or a house have a 100 grand invested in tools and a tool box and have the choice to starve to death or live in my car and eat I hate living and working in this country as Canada has no work place standards and the labour board is corrupt and takes bribes instead of charging business owners example east way blew up killing six people in Ottawa nation's capital I had friends who worked for that companies and reported it it has hundreds of complaints to the labour board and nothing was done and six people died I have worked for two employers who have had death in the work place and almost died three times in the work place with proof one time I was struck in the head by a sledge hammer almost killing me another reason I hate working in this country is the monopoly it is employers pay and do the bare minimum example I produce 40 to 60 thousand dollars of work every two weeks out of Wich 20 to 30 thousand is profit for the owner I make not even two percent of that profit and all services in Canada are fake useless and a run by under educated lazy incompatant people go canada

Ontario, in particular, has blood on their hands for much of the mess, because of their disproportiate political representation at the Federal level. Too many easily deceived people in Ontario, especially in Toronto/GTA area. Out of control immigration has ruined the country - again something that has been done deliberately. Country were you pay tons of taxes, but you don’t get good medical care, they make you wait and don’t have enough medical staff to help people.\n\nYou get underpaid, the salaries don’t keep up with cost of living.\n\nA country where you don’t elect your prime minister. It is just the clown that happens to be the leader of the party that gets more seats in the parliament.\n\nAlso you need to ask for government permission even for doing stuff in your own property. Im an engineer making 130-140k a year and couldnt afford a house in even the cheaper cities such as halifax... toronto or vancouver? Forget about it. I forgot to mention the healthcare, people are dying in waiting rooms and from cancers that could be treated if detected early, but they are often stage 4 before even being diagnosed. A lot of immigrants to Canada have no intention of making Canada their home. They want the passport and citizenship status to have as a status in their own country. Often these people speak of how lame they find Canada to be and how little they could care about what Canada is as a country and a nation. Our Government doesn't care about making the qualifications to becoming Canadian a more profound commitment. The Federal government leaves the cost and the burden of assimilation on the Canadian tax payers so they don't care. The government makes their money.

We need more people to make wealthy people more wealthy. All these immigrants work at Walmart(billionaires), Tim Hortons(billionaires), Amazon(billionaires), Uber corp(soon billionaires), McDonald’s(billionaires) do you see the pattern. We didn’t screen people who are carpenters, welders, doctors, nurses, engineers etc. instead they collect all into one city and create havoc on insurance rates, home prices, car accidents, car theft, break and enters, parking lot fights between two tribal groups, no want or need to assimilate etc etc

Until 2020 (pandemic), most lifelong Canadians would have proudly & quickly said Canada is a great place. For multiple generations (young & old). It still is in many ways. But like all countries, a bunch of things have made life more difficult lately. \n \nDuring the COVID lockdowns, many people went wild wanting to buy a house (urban & rural). Increasing demand and rising prices. Not long after, inflation caused mortgage rates especially to rise. Rent costs soared too. People interested in working in hospitals declined. Less doctors etc.. \n \nSimultaneously in Canada, the number of people coming by air, land and boat to claim asylum skyrocketed. For example, in 2023 alone, in just one region (Central Canada) around 400 people arrived per day (on average). Ditto for other populated provinces. Also the number of international students SKYROCKETED too. In 2023, averaging around 2,000 per day across Canada. Years 2021 and 2022 had high #s too. \n \nThe majority trying to migrate to Canada recently have been from South Asia. And it's become extremely obvious to Canadians. Even those that are very used to much diversity & many cultures. Plus neighborhoods now know that international students are using schooling as a 'back door' ticket to come to Canada for permanent residency. No one says it in public amongst strangers, but everyone knows because they've witnessed the extreme PR frenzy firsthand by now. To many Canadians it has felt like a tidal wave that has reached all cities and small towns, with a post secondary school. This extreme situation never existed prior to 4 years ago.\n \nHospitals have been hit with many wanting free healthcare. Less doctors/nurses etc., means greater waiting times. Plus a VERY SEVERE HOUSING CRISIS has occurred in many western countries including in Canada. In ways not seen in people's lifetimes. And if you do find a place to live its quite expensive. Including small basement rooms. \n \nNow westerners want the money greedy agents (pseudo smugglers) in other countries to stop marketing & LYING to their own people about access to PR or citizenship … or accommodation/jobs … being easy (to get). And for any greedy people living in western countries to be ashamed of themselves if they're hurting students. Anyone doing things to make $ off of people's PR desires. At best, there is a 25% chance of gaining PR (better odds if you are masters/medicine etc.). \n \nNot all players across the board have acted honestly over the years, i.e. contract marriages (IELTS spouse), anchor babies, fraud, false asylum claims. Canada has asked the India government to prevent “ghost consulting”. The new PRIVATE (non-public) colleges are being investigated (including looking for strong oversea ties). \n \nCanadians are meeting students who told Canada they have enough $, but it turns out they borrowed it (some borrowed it for the application process only). Canadian food banks and other CHARITY services have been recklessly advertised on YouTube (by India students in Indian language). Many transit services have launched stricter rules, i.e. lost monthly bus passes registered in your name are now never replaced (unlike before). \n \nThen this year throw in all the Palestinian vs Israeli angry protests happening regularly in cities. Plus the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortion mostly happening in Ontario and British Columbia. Plus the Canadian government also recently launched investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections. All stemming from Asia continent. Hate crimes have gone from rare to occasional (primarily South Asians against South Asians). \n \nCanadians are so so so so so not used to all this. So many, who have embraced multi-culturalism and immigration for decades are now VERY worried and fearful (due to all of the above). And all are praying it doesn't turn into great anger (like in the USA). \n \nCanadians want multi-culturism to succeed … and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Everyone I know is VERY happy with Canada Immigration's recent changes (reductions & investigations). Including multi-generational long-term Asian-Canadians where many have been the most upset (by all of this).

Funny how they want to blame immigration. Jobs are everywhere but employers know that immigrants are more disciplined, hard working and appreciative of the opportunities provided, when compared to the average Canadian-born citizen. I've seen it first hand. \n \nOh and, the influx of Indian immigration boosted Canada's GBP by $20 Billion, last I checked. America is a good example, Indians and Pakistanis are the most successful ethnic group, everyone else is behind. Not only that, but they have to work TWICE as hard to get HALF of what their white counterparts do. \n\nAlso, lets not forgot how unsympathetic white America was when black Americans were going through the crack epidemic. They didn't get a shred of the support that's being given out today, instead it was jail. \n\nWhite Privilege is very real and especially in countries like Canada and the United States. If white people fall through the cracks this hard en masse in a society that makes it easiest for them to succeed, then it's truly over. The decline will continue.

All those people who are thinking of leaving Canada will be back within less than a year with their tail between their legs begging for help because if they couldn't make it in Canada, anyone think they will make it anywhere else! I truly believe this all revolves around the housing crisis. Not enough housing can be built. Canadians with options are not taking low-income jobs. It's not a survivable wage anymore. Canada's #1 GDP is Real Estate. Potential first-time home buyers are not willing to throw themselves into a lifetime debt for a weak economy. \n\nSo what does Canada do? Fill these vacancies with immigrants. Not inherently wrong, but it's a band-aid solution to temporarily pump up the numbers. \n\nImmigrants, specifically refugees are taking low-income jobs. Speak Arabic? You can easily fill your job positions for minimum wage. Just like mafia tactics in third-world countries, the government takes their passports away and they must fulfill their duties at a very low wage and very high cost of living under threat of being thrown back into a potentially war-torn country. Came to Canada as a Dentist? Doesn't matter, you need to climb the ladder again and in the meantime work as a Receptionist making minimum wage.\n\nImmigrants with money are obligated to prove themselves. Buy housing, start a business. Numerous cities such as Brampton are being filled with slums. Housing a double digit of residents in the basement at absurd costs so the landlords can afford their ridiculous mortgages and lifestyle off the back of other immigrants/refugees.\n\nThe main issue is the hate directed towards immigrants. First of all, in the video it was disgusting for the man to acknowledge that someone was wearing good clothes and asking where the refugee center is. Someone can be a refugee and still have money. That's the ideal refugee. Someone with money in a war-torn country such as Sudan are high targets and completely deserve to run away to a safe country like Canada - especially if they can afford to spend money and stimulate the economy.\n\nStop attacking the people. This is a housing crisis issue that has been so poorly managed that these deeply rooted symptoms are beginning to show.

If I was Prime Minister. I would Ban the immigrant Visa program for the next 10 years. I would deport anyone who has overstayed there welcome (those with expired visas) or are here (illegally) and now (not documented) \n\nThat alone would take many out of the shelters, homes, rentals, streets that should not be in the Country anymore. Leaving the resources and the people who work and volunteer for those resources to help the Canadian people (which would be the prime reason for this) Canadians first ! \n\nI would cut the Carbon Tax. Doubling and tripling the time served and raising bail fees by 50% to keep folks that have criminal pasts off the streets <---- for first time offenders. \n\nFor those that have multiple offenses. Quadruple the jail times and put bail amounts 100% more then what they are now. \n\nGive those that kill, ra*e, torture, (and things along that nature (the death penalty) \n\nI would remove the mandate for Electric Vehicles for Canada. Where only 1 vehicle per manufacturer would have to be Electric. So if somebody wants it. It's there but the majority would be. Gas / Diesel etc. \n\nI would build more housing / schools / retirement homes / hospitals / recreation centre's / Library and walk in Clinics. \n\nI would write a law that the roads in Canada must be fixed properly. Not just patched. \n\nI would raise the taxes on Multi Million and Billion Corporations and those that make $400.000 or more to pay a higher tax. While those that make less than $400.000 get taxed less. \n\nI would Lower the provincial taxes by 2% effective immediately and the Minimum wage across all provinces would be $17.75 an hour for full time workers (over 32 hours per week) with .25 cent yearly increases until 2030 to be reassessed. \n\nI would give Tax cuts to those who want to open businesses and build and sell Canadian Products to make sure Canadian Goods are affordable to make. Still have a profit to slow down overseas production creating more Canadian jobs for Canadian People. \n\nEvery Worker that works 24 hours or more weekly is getting Benefits making it mandatory for all types of business owners to make benefits available to the workers and ensuring the plan covers a minimum of 50% throughout the entire year. \n\nI would raise the pension to those who have worked 25+ years in Canada and remain in Canada as a retiree for a minimum of 6 months of the year 5% \n\nShrinkflation will stop. Canada should be hiring more people like Karma to encourage these disgruntled Indian immigrants to go home. When my forefathers arrived here in the late 1700’s they didn’t have all the amenities that today’s immigrants are in-tilled to.They taught two world wars and struggled through a decade of depression. Immigrants arrive expecting free healthcare, education, infrastructure ect. We had generations of struggle to make Canada the wonderful safe democracy that it is. Keep the 10 requirements for eventual admission to our country. But the Mikey Mouse easy education should not be one of them. They should be required to spend their first 5 years vs the current 3 years in Canada and not India . They should be required to learning about Canadian culture, Christian based laws, learn one of our official languages and much more. I was moving back to Edmonton in October 2023 and the vacancy rate was 0.0001% the apartment I got, if i did not take it (the area is so rough) I would have had to stay with a friend and hoped and prayed that in November more people were moving so something else could/would become available. \n\nThen I talked to everyone in this building. Once the 1 year lease is up they months rent 250$ so they suck you into a an apartment where homeless are sleeping in the laundry room smoking meth for $1000 and then up the rent to 1250$ and the area is like the ones you were exploring. If anyone knows Edmonton it’s a block off 118 ave or Alberta Avenue. And I work at the Royal Alexandra Hospital (inner city) it’s heart breaking ?. It was always bad but since moving to the country in 2020 and coming back late 2023 the decline is devastating. Even a very close friend of mine went from packing her kids lunches, working casually (when they needed) as a janitor at Edmonton public school board to staying at salvation Army and it getting full to living in Tent City. She had to make her way to Calgary for shelter. ?

As a new citizen of Canada who came here as a refugee, I feel for Canadians who have been here for generations. No other country would tolerate this. I have nothing against people who come here to make it from less opportunistic places, as I was one of those people, but if you're gonna come to another country, respect its cultures and norms - don't act like you're still back home.

You don't normally rent a $2600 2-Bedroom Apartment on your own in Toronto. You share and split. Despite that, and 2 people making each $50,000 a year - tax, it is a bit hard to make ends meet. You need money to enjoy life, just like in those crazy expensive American cities. And you shouldn't be spending more than 40% of your income on rent. There are ways of saving but buying a home in Toronto is unaffoardable. Better think of Kingston, Ottawa, Brockville... where it is way cheaper with some good paying jobs sometimes depending what your field of expertise is.

Bad neighborhood experience which destroyed my health for life mostly because of spoof call attack. Bad policing which killed many innocent people. Work for yourself or get enslaved by another employer that's why people would love to work for government. Housing prices skyrocketing in big cities and there is no foreseeable future for its remedy. Cold weather for six month of year and at the end COVID force closure killed many of people and hospitalization was so bad. Anywhere there was no hospitalization people life were saved. There is no open market like many countries which are backed by government to buy goods in reasonable price for low income people. Very restricted laws for driver license. Life in Canada is far from normal kills you or make you disable for life without getting you paid. Now I disabled for couple of years and I'm outside of Canada and just my family saved my life because I couldn't work because of disability due to spoof call attack which cause severe peripheral neuropathy. Even there is no any protocol for this illness to get cured and forced me to see many MDs and cost me lots of money. I have seen Ukraine refugees taking money from Canadian gov later leaving back once the money is finished. I have seen people coming to Canada with Gov 40-50K once that is finished they leave. The shelters for single men in Toronto are terrible, for the most part. The majority of people don’t understand the plight of the homeless and blame them for the situation they are in! It’s a judgement made out of ignorance of people, who are so far removed from their reality.\n\nIt’s not just bad in Toronto … other cities are facing the same problem. What’s causing this? I strongly feel it’s how the governments (all three levels) are running things … they’re inept! There is no excuse for this … it’s mismanagement/misappropriation of tax payers money! And they’re sending. Ill ions of dollars outside of the country. Well charity should begin at home … take care of your citizens before you start giving money outside of the country! Just makes no sense!

It would be better to make a documentary showing people working, blah blah and still having to go to the food bank because of the rising cost. When I visit America, I always just feel anxious about guns. I'm sure it's super rare to actually get shot and stuff, but it's always on my mind. I just can't imagine that theres probably tons of people with guns around. It makes me a lot more afraid of the poor areas, which I find are more extreme in general. This is the main reason. I am also a little uncomfortable with how the public school system is funded differently by area. I'm used to all schools having close to the same standards.
