I was just forced by my husband to come here in 2010. I never plan to live abroad but I went for the sake of the kids and dont want regret. My husband is mentally ill even before we got married(family took advantage of me when they saw I was an independent widow that time). Upon arriving here, nothing was prepared,no beds no nothing just the social housing and he was already orienting me to get food from food bank and simply convinced me to follow here for the child benefits,free education and healthcare. Let me just mention, the family of my husband is claiming they were rich and prominent in the Philippines. Fast forward....14 years after, he didnt get a house for us....I just ran after him for child support....he didnt finish the divorce process that I ask him to do upon arrival....now, that its time for him to pay tution fee for college, he is mad! He is so desperate that he brainwashed one of his sons to blame me and make me feel like the whole thing is my fault! My son almost killed me last time bec his dad getting sympathy and ranting that he has no money. This is the biggest regret of my life......I believe if my sons are educated and grew up in the Philippines, they are more happy and was able to tap all their talents and intelligence. I am done here! And for people telling me that the money we earn here we dont get in the Philippines....sorry, my peace of mind and dignity has no price tag. I am not materialistic too. Respect to humanity is all we need!

Perhaps I will not name the most popular destination for relocation, but I suggest coming to Russia, there are many positive reasons for this (I take Moscow as an example):\n1) Affordable housing with reasonable prices. The price for a one-room apartment in Moscow, for an apartment with a good renovation will cost you about $500 Plus utility bills with the Internet will be 50%. (The most surprising thing for foreigners is that in winter you can wear a T-shirt and shorts in apartments, and sometimes it will be hot), my cost of heating in a three-room apartment is $35 per month for 95 sq.m.\nDo you want a house? Please! House 435 sq.m. 3 floors for $100,000.\nAre you a young family? Get a preferential mortgage. Got a baby? Get money! A second one appeared. Get even more! Third child? Children's camps, travel card, free school meals, as well as a lot of benefits.\n2) Developed infrastructure, accessible public transport ($30 pass for all types of transport in Moscow and the nearest Moscow region), unlimited travel pass. 783 parks in Moscow, numerous shopping centers, countless child development centers; in winter you can ski and snowboard in these same parks. In general, you will definitely find something to keep yourself busy.\n3) Affordable medicine. Russian citizenship can be obtained after 5 years of permanent residence, BUT foreign citizens have the right to obtain a medical policy for themselves after obtaining a residence permit. After obtaining citizenship, all medicine is free, seriously, a foreigner I know from Australia asked me about this: “What do you mean it’s free?” All this is included in taxes, and the cost is peanuts compared to yours. The level of medicine is high, this is a separate topic for discussion, I don’t know why, but our medical centers are compared with India, this is not so. The current clinics look like Cyberpunk 2077, seriously. In the regions, unfortunately, it is completely different. In December 2023, I was hospitalized with double pneumonia, and I didn’t pay a single ruble for treatment.\n4) Security. You can calmly walk around Moscow at night and not be afraid of anything. There are cameras everywhere in Moscow, on shops, on poles, and video recorders on cars. Everyone knows perfectly well that if you commit a crime in Moscow, you will be punished, and no one in their right mind needs this. Here I advise you to look at the channels of your fellow countrymen. On a personal note, no one cares what color you are, as long as you are a person who lives within the law as a peaceful citizen. In general, if you are a good person, you can forget about this word.\n6) If you receive a residence permit, education for your children is free. Our state generally cares excessively about children. And I still remembered! Summer holidays for children are 3 months, so where should they go? Summer camp, give mom and dad a break from your nasty whims))\nIf you want to send them to the Black Sea, if you want to send them to Altai to a health center, you can send them to a city camp (They brought the child in the morning and took them away in the evening). Previously, I was constantly sent to the black sea on a permit that was given to my father at work (Shipyard). Now this is only possible in special cases.\n\n7) Vacations. You are required to go on paid leave for 28 days a year. 12 public holidays.\n\n8) Sexual minorities. Having seen enough of cancel culture, where the minority opinion became higher than the majority opinion, these communities were cancelled. When people are openly threatened for their opinions on gender. Fire teachers for using the wrong pronoun. Where pedophiles try to legitimize themselves. We are not on the same path with this.\n\nNow there is an acute shortage of IT specialists, maybe this will be interesting for them.\nFarmers like to settle here; 100 hectares of land can be bought for $16,000. Compared to Europe at $5000-6000 per acre. A well-known foreign representative is Justus Walker if anyone is interested.\nIn general, Russia is open to new citizens of the country, the state gives everything to create a unit of society, on your part you just need to be a law-abiding citizen and live a quiet life. We have problems in the country, they are the same as in any other, but nowhere will there be freedom to implement your plans as in Russia.\n\nAll the best!

Maybe the ones who say America is a horrible country can truly look at what's going on and see how lucky they are. If still having issues with the US, I'm sure millions will trade places with them right now. Never, even at my poorest times in life or so sickened by some corrupt politicians or screwed up policies, did I ever want to live anywhere else.

Good for you. I think all Muslims living in the West especially those with young children should follow suit. Many Muslims parents don't realize the negative effects of public schools and western society's influences on their children until it's too late. It's time for hijrah my dear brothers and sisters in Islam. Who on Earth would want to live here? We are such a depressing and failing culture and society. We have placed ourselves in a situation where nothing properly can grow here. Canada will get far more depressing over the next decades. I tell people all the time don't come here, you'll pay more than money for coming here. And I tell people, who are able, to leave. Find a better place to call home. Canada can't be home to people. Not with how we are easily dislodged, displaced and how everything around us is on fire and burning down. \n\nDon't come to Canada unless you're suicidal and want to die, or you happen to be super rich and you can make it. \n\nCanada will be losing many many Canadians in the future. Whether it's people leaving the country, whether it's people returning to their old countries, or whether it's people killing themselves off desperately trying to find solutions to problems. \n\nPlease don't come here people. \n\nCanada is a horrible place to live. And if I could leave here, I would. But alas I'm a very poor Canadian. So that leaves me with options of suicide later in life, at least Canada is getting programs together for that and the options become more accessible every passing year. If we are going to make a country filled with shit, we at least need to give options to people to leave instead of holding them to a slave system that goes nowhere.

Us hypocrites in the USA want to close the borders to people but it’s OK for your tractor/trailers to bring our high profit goods back to the USA. I have visited the United States many, many MANY, MANY times over the years. I've loved every single visit. The people are warm and lovely....some of your scenery and historic things were more than a joy to behold Would I ever want to move there ? Not even for a second. In fact, sadly, my husband won't even go back for a visit anymore. This is sad to me, but I understand where he is coming from. \nWas sad to say good-bye to our dearest friends who moved to the US, because the job pay and promotion was impossible to say no to. They lasted 2 months and settled for less pay and no promotion to come back home. They found it so weird, that all the new friends they made, thought they were freaks because they didn't own guns. The final straw was when they learned these people were packing when they came to summer barbeques. That was the final straw, and they high-tailed it home. \nIn recent times, a country run by someone I see as a loose cannon, psychopath...makes it a most emphatic NO.

I'm perfectly happy with Canada and being Canadian. My business is thriving. I don't own a house (i'm 50) and probably won't. They aren't good investments and both a recession and a housing crash are necessary to lower prices. \n\nLet me say something about the housing crisis - it's not immigration. Canadians are overleveraged. Many own second, third and fourth properties that they rent out. Once they have to renew into the teeth of higher rates you'll start to see a correction like what we saw in the 1980s. Couple that with higher unemployment and you have a recipe for a crash. Everyone wants lower house prices -- until we get them. Go try to renew your 600,000k mortgage on your million-dollar house that's now worth $800,000. \n\nHealth care is a problem - but where isn't it? The UK? The US? Many parts of the US are close to third-world countries. \n\nI'm happy here. The rest of the world seems bonkers by comparison. Go ahead and leave.

So faculty greed is destroying Canada with the lack of affordable housing, rising homelessness, lack of care for its citizens, etc.? They want the students high tuition money because they pay more. It seems like every Liberal Left government worldwide is determined to change and destroy the greatest cities on earth. You have to ask yourself why would they knowingly do this. We are US Americans. When our child decided to attend the University of Toronto, out-of-country, 15-some years ago, we researched so much, including the university’s international student pulse. We were horrified to learn the lion’s share of UofT’s international students body intended to use UofT not for a high-caliber education but as a fast-path gateway into the US upon graduation, if not before. International student forum members were quite clear and unapologetic their intentions. In the years since, the US has learned most of these immigrants can’t compete once here and do poorly. The reason is part expectation and part inflated self-assessment — 1. Our urban and suburban housing is just as expensive as Toronto and Vancouver, 2. We don’t have free health care except for the destitute. Even then, it’s minimal, 3. Our ivies and other great universities already supply our best employers, 4. Our academic standards are more rigorous, in most cases, to Canada’s, 5. Our winters are just as cold and snowy, 6. Our summers are so hot, your car and anything in it will melt, and 7. We generally don’t have public transportation except piecemeal in our cities. Further, most of us don’t want Trudeau’s increasingly fascist politics to take hold here, any more than they have already, under Biden.

US family here. We were a big downhill skiing family, and often spent our winter vacations in the Laurentians. The exchange rate was great back in the 1990s and early 2000s. So when the time came to start looking at colleges, our daughter already associated Canada with fun, and fell in love with the University of Toronto. She was accepted. But before Canada would issue her a student visa, we had to provide evidence that we could pay full tuition, room, and board out of pocket. For all four years! They wanted an iron guarantee that she would never become a ‘ward of the state’ or consume public assistance services. We had to jump through soooo many logistical hoops for her to attend, it was exhausting to facilitate. But she graduated with honors in four years. All that time, the city was beautiful, clean, and vibrant, though not inexpensive. The St. George main campus, Queen’s Park, Bloor, Yongue Street, more. Everyone we met was friendly and respectful. We very rarely saw homeless and never tent communities. And crime seemed almost nonexistent except for bicycle thefts. Our daughter made many international friends and forged great relationships she carries to this day. So many wonderful memories. So it’s heartbreaking to hear how downhill the city has become. And the US is no different. It’s all in the politics, and neither Trudeau’s nor Biden’s policies are helping.

Something is very rotten in this world.. The governments of these countries heavily criticise The West but at the end of the day, their refugees from their countries come flocking to us for a better life.. Fleeing is easy! If you really want a better life, you need to work hard and push against your leaders to demand that your voice is heard! offering asylum is the humane thing to do yes, but it's not helping solve any problems. Most western places are becoming crime problems with the US leading the way. Who is committing most of the crimes in large cities? How tough are the authorities in dealing with crime? Compare serious crimes in a city like Moscow or Bejing to a Los Angeles or NYC. In the US there are numerous instances in major cities of criminal mobs entering stores and taking what they want and leaving w/o paying because retail theft has been decriminalized. Try running your small business in that kind of environment so we have businesses closing and moving out of the cities. If you haven't figure it out yet, it's called western liberalism in dealing with criminals.

As a Jewish “cousin” living in the Southern US, I can definitely appreciate your concerns, especially those related-to the cold, inflation, religious observance, indoctrination, and an over-bearing government…. Assuming that they would be supportive and good role models, are your children’s grandparents still alive? Would living near them be an option? Are any uncles, aunts, and cousins available at any potential locations? Suggestion: Some dear friends sold their dream home and left their long-time friends last year to move across the country to live in a property that they had inherited. These friends eventually admitted that they were MISERABLE in their new location and now (12-14 months later) have returned to their “home state.” Unfortunately, their choices have turned-out to be very “costly” in many ways….. Since your children are involved, you may want to consider giving any potential location a 6-12 month “test run” before making an “official” decision….. Prayers and best wishes as you consider your options!! ❤️

So many immigrants, government overreach during Covid and the pope of woke Trudeau has destroyed Canadian culture, identity and our freedoms and day by day we are becoming more Marxist and radical leftist thinking. We are a joke and one day if we keep our fingers crossed we can separate as a country and some of us can live the way we want.

I have moved around the US quite a bit (I've lived in every time zone except Mountain, including Hawaii). Moving to a totally different place is always exciting to me. Even if you eventually find that it is not where you want to stay forever, it is worth the experiences, and the growth you get from having to learn new things. If you are considering the US, some of the things you don't like about Canada, is probably true here as well. It seems like you can probably make more money down here, but the cost of living is still expensive here, and many, many Americans also live paycheck to paycheck. I wish the best for you.

I have been in US for 20 years and can understand the experience that you are sharing. Frankly, countries like US and Canada are not for people who can’t do some basic things on their own. \nPeople leave their families and comfort of their home and come to these countries either to earn money, eventually have a good quality life or to provide a good quality education for their kids. If you don’t have a reason good enough to make that move and keep the option of running back home on facing little hardship then there is no way you can live in these countries. Forget about going and living in other countries you can’t even go and live in another state within India. Do you think it’s easy for a North Indian to go and live in South (or vice versa) where they encounter language and culture barriers? \nYou were in much much better situation as you already had PR and didn’t have to go through stress of handling uncertainty on your visa situation based on job.\nTrust me it takes few years for you to get adjusted to new environment, culture, people, food etc. But, as you spend more and more time in these countries you get more accustomed to way of living here and then you become so comfortable with it that you don’t want to go back at all.\nDon’t want to judge anyone but I guess in your case at your age with family already settled in India you didn’t have a solid enough reason to get out of your comfort zone and give time to get used to such big transition in your life

In answer to topics raised. Real estate in Australia is expensive because the nation is highly successful and ordinary citizens are wealthy, and this includes real estate, plus with 3 billion middle class Asian's right above Australia the Asian economy dwarfs the US economy to insignificance. Job opportunities are dictated by the fields the economy needs - oil is insignificant in Australia compared to other industries. Geographic Isolation - Thank god the rest of the world is far away, as an Australian I wish it was further away. Air fares prior to pandemic were reasonable USA to Australia around $800 return - but this guy lives in Perth so to go 4-5,000km to the east coast will be expensive - on the east coast a one way ticket to another city can be had for around $50 to $80 - Again for Australians proximity to the US market is not significant we are focused on the Asian region. Natural beauty anywhere is amazing but I prefer a warm climate over a frozen one - The Canadian population is all centered around the US/Canadian border region the rest of Canada like central Australia is vastly empty. In conclusion I find many immigrants want to move from Australia to Canada is proximity to the USA but for Australians the US market or lifestyle is not attractive or important.

Its HAMAS that needs to be driven out. The Palestinian people elected them post Arafat and they have been in power for years. They also get millions each year in aide. I believe not from the Arab nations but by the US and other nations. I honestly feel if the Arab world was concerned about their plight Palestine would have been better off and this war would not have started. I support this. Canada is disgustingly atheistic and going down a very dark path. As a Christian American I could not imagine living there as anyone trying to follow any religion. But yeah so I study and learn about demographics and foreign countries and cultures as a personal hobby for going on 8 years now. I recommend Morocco, Jordan, Tunisia, Oman, Kuwait, Malaysia and Singapore for Islamic countries that are safe, rule of law, and as a small extra bonus mostly US allies, but still have their islamic cultures and communities intact and do not commonly come under pro israel or UN voting pressure. Probably youll want to relocate to one of those countries. Qatar too but they have a bit of a history supporting extremist and terrorist groups so I cannot in good faith recommend living there. Bahrain Brunei and Indonesia you could try too but I don't know enough about them to recommend.

But thinking with the same logic, all the other war and/or dictatorship refugees (from Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan,...) would probably also prefer living in their own countries without the fear of terror, torture and death. If I would be an Arab living in the Middle East hoping for human rights and some prosperity, I would certainly choose to be an Israeli citizen!

Also please do consider Oman. It’s a beautiful truly Islamic country. The Omani Arabs are most respectful and calm people. I loved living there. \nYou can drive and visit dubai in 4 hours. Believe me you don’t want to live there. It’s like Disney land. Visit have loads of fun then return home to wonderful Oman. If you work there as an expat you are provided lovely accommodation, tax free income and a tickets to your home country every year during your month off. \nIt’s super clean and many US, Canadian, European expats extend their contracts to stay longer because of the luxurious lifestyle.

Before leaving Canada, you should surrender Canadian citizenship and returned passpot as well. If you realy want to know how other muslim countries treat you, travel on the passport you arrived here in canada. Acrually, you know you would be trwated better while having Canadian passport. Have some moral courage...\nAbout islamic environment. Were you not aware before coming here OR all of sudden after becoming citizen you got aware ,oh this is not an islamic society. I want to live in a little in a diverse community. My neighborhood in Scarborough is 90% Indian or Middle Eastern. When you have so many people of one ethnic group they do not assimilate but form a mini ghetto town They were telling us what to wear and what to learn. Secondly, Canada is full of vagrancy.
