I immigerant to Canada 2008 and lived in Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver. I realized I was in the wrong place. 2013, I ran from Canada and never regretted it.\nShe is 100% right. DO NOT go to Canada if you are poor with limited money.\nCanada is a beautiful country. It is a shame the cruppt Canadian GOV makes it so hard for people to live.

While there might be wonderful places to see, and interesting people to meet and food to eat, I would never even visit there for more than a day or 2.\n\nSome times traveling by road, it is faster to drive through the states to get to other parts of Canada, and that level of visiting would be barely ok.\n\nYour government is actively making it unsafe to be alive there, for so many types of people. Unless you are part of the elite, making gallons of money, your government doesn't even want you to live. It's horrific.\n\nAmerica is bad y'all. Just so bad.

It depends on why one moves to another country in the first place. Just be ready to contribute and assimilate then in time one will reap the benefits. If you expect cheap everything, no country will want you either.

You guys can consider Dubai as one of your options. It is so safe here. Awesome education for kids with islamic and Arabic subjects along with all the other modern curriculum. We Love dubai. Never had any problem in having halal food, zero security related issues, zero racism. Well balanced work and life, moderate inflation but you never really can feel it. In short, its an ideal place to live and raise your kids here. Alhamdulillah. We also decided long time back to move to Canada or New Zealand but the brought up of our kids was the biggest reason that we never did it. We are so greatful to Allah for making the right decision of staying in Dubai.

Rest assured, nobody from a normal place would ever move there; from the middle of Africa, I don't know... I do believe that not even Latin Americans are attracted due to different weather habits... All in all people deserve what they vote for; it's their will, isn't it?

I lived in Toronto years ago. It was nice in summer but in reality the weather is only warm 2 months of the year and the winters are very cold. I moved to the US and have lived in Manhattan, Ft Lauderdale, Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Seattle. Each place has its own special things and negatives. Nothing is perfect but I do prefer a longer warmer climate.

Please do not come to Pakistan, you will regret, find some better place. This is just a humble request.

I grew up in rural Ontario and experienced extreme racial violence since childhood. I moved to Toronto at 19 to attend university and have been here for 15 years. I still enjoy the outdoors, but have continued to experience racial attacks when I visit small towns across Ontario. So while the cost of living here is outrageous, sadly, Toronto is the ONLY place I have not been called an N-WORD!! ?

Are you both Palestians? I think not. Therefore you are going to move your children to a non-democratic corrupt muslim country due to perceived crimes against a group of people who share your religion, but you have no contacts with. There are no effective democratic muslim majority countries. Should I make family decisions based on Christian ethnic cleansing in North Africa? Should I worry about the massacre of Coptic Christians in Egypt? Your children will regret your actions and will understand why your parents or grandparents moved to Canada in the first place. I do agree that Canada is a woke-dom, but this will change as traditional conservative values come back into fashion. Anyway good luck with your future plans.

The Alhambra is there and christians and muslims live side by side. There are as many tea houses as there are tapas bars.\nThere are great schools and universities \nGreat weather\nIts around 1 hour from the beach\nGreat weather.\nIt a really amazing place x

I am not Muslim and I don't live in Canada so I can't completely understand your experience. I'm from a Hindu family and I relate to some of the things you guys have expressed, especially how you guys are worried about your children being raised in a certain environment and the sense of community. Especially, about the kids. America and Canada are scary at this moment. I heard that America is looking at allowing schools to help children to hide their decision regarding their gender etc., from their parents, and there is so much more being taught in schools that go against certain cultures and belief system but also it is now separating kids from their parents, creating walls. I also agree with you both that I don't hate or saying that others can't live the way they choose to live but when it is being imposed on your children then it's hard to live in that place. I wish you guys all the best, just wanted to say, I completely get you and bless your family. You have to do what is right for you and your children and you have to go where you are most comfortable and happy<3. We all are different and we all have our ways and we all deserve to be living in a place where we can be safe to continue our traditions and cultures, to help it live on, our children will carry that forward and it's important. I don't mean to hate but America seems to be morally collapsing and Canada follows America and so does England (it's where I am living). It's scary. Hard. For some of us to survive in a certain environment. It's not for everyone you know.

I think things might get better when we have our new common sense PM, the current one is just so incompetent, I will for sure leave this place if he gets re-elected in 2 years. But looking around world, can anyone suggest me a non-third world country with high income, reasonable cost, good education and decent climate, preferably English speaking. No Japan please, my husband holds Japan PR, but I will never consider moving there, too scared of earthquakes ?.

Very interesting video, all was well explained. But the situation it's the same here in Europe, and maybe is even worse, in Italy you die of hunger! Salary is so LOW and never changed in more than 20 years, and rent of houses is crazy! It's insanely high and with your salary you can't pay the rent (even if you are a doctor, nurse etc..) you don't have money to buy an house and if you pay a rent you can't spend money on anything else. People here live thanks to their parents savings (who has this luck). The situation is very bad, young people can't find a job because there are no jobs available, it's really hard to live. Cities are dirty and degraded. In public health care you have to wait months and years for a visit, you are forced to go private and pay a lot of money. So I think the situation is serious everywhere. If you know a place where you are paid well and there are no such problems let me know.

Canada can be a really hard place to live. Too many people competing for limited resources- story as old as time. But throw in large immigrant population whose culture is a mismatch for existing infastructure. You are going to get growing pains.\nBTW, the so called studies /polls/surveys are a joke. I appreciate the way you present the reality. One way to cope with salaries and taxes is to open you own enterprise. This is the canadian way of growing fron a wealth point of view. As a person leaving from a salary, it is still possible to grow depending on your skills. But beggining your own business to exploit your skills will make you 'fly' to the next level, which is the actual way of growing. It took me a lot of years to realice this. Just think about it, provinces allow medecins to incorporate what means that they will pay less taxes and become richer sooner. This is just my thought, other people may think in a different way, I just try to give positive ideas.\n\nSecondly, Canada is still a country to live in a bit better than other countries considering many things happening around the world. Crime and economics is worst everywhere also. But, it all depends on what criteria counts for you. About society, it's not easy to make real friends except other inmigrants that need it too. In order to protect our children from what they're teaching them, we have to take them to a Muslim country. I’ve witnessed some really disgusting treatment of immigrants first hand, and I have a lot of friends/ coworkers who are immigrants from Latin America and the Middle East, and I’ve heard a lot from them about the micro aggressions that they get from Canadians everyday, the dirty looks they get when speaking their native languages in public, and the immense pressure to assimilate. What you were saying about feeling like you’re always reminded that you’re an outsider in Australia, I also hear that a lot from immigrants here in Canada… I hope that Canada can be a better place for you, and you can feel more at home here, but the u fortunate truth is that the idea that Canadians just welcome immigrants with open arms and that everyone is welcome here is largely a myth… a lot of Canadians unfortunately are just xenophobic, racist, nationalistic dickheads and they’re not shy about it

Listen, I'm no Muslima and I'm African so I'm stuck between poverty & misery! But if I ever had a place like Abu Dhabi where everybody was just remotely black, or Qatar or Dubai or Saudi (Maghreb, Yemen, Jourdan)? Why oh Why would I ever live in a place like Canada? What? I am American, but became Muslim about 4 years ago now. My husband and I got married a year and a half ago and now we have a baby girl alhamdulillāh, but we’ve talked about leaving the US. We live in a huge Arab community, masjid in walking distance, signage is in English and Arabic, halal everywhere, masjid all over the place. I wear niqaab and I regularly see other niqaabis where we live. BUT… it’s SO EXPENSIVE TO LIVE HERE. But we don’t want to move because it’s such a perfect area for Muslims to live. Once I finish nursing school we can definitely afford it more easily, but it’s something we still may consider. I’d love to not be so different just because I wear hijab and niqaab. I’d love not having to explain not shaking hands or not wanting to deal with men, and having accessible Islamic education for our daughter.

Turkeye is a good place to start, or even to choose. It is affordable to explore as an option, and in my opinion, I would choose it. The island of Cyprus is another, since Turkeye took over part of it, and once you are in the region you will get a sense of where else to go. I think the global south is the future, along with China and Russia, but more Islamic options in the global south.

You moved to Canada at the worst time, this is rough for everyone now, well because of politics and stuff. BEFORE 2016 life was great! I was able to buy a house in GTA, find jobs no problem, lots of jobs even during 2008, make good money to rent and save for house. And go out every weekend wow! How about now? You are lucky if you can find a place to rent! Current gov really messed things up! Too bad new comers will just think this is normal, and now know how bad the gov made it for everyone and still making it worse with making up new taxes making everyone poorer, except themselves.

It was nice watching your video. You asked for a suggestion. In your case, I think the best place for you to settle down would be Turkey. \nThe main problem you will face there would be the language. I think that is a big problem initially, but it is easy to learn a language, before going to that country. Once you are there, it will be easy for you to pick it up, because you will be forced to use it every day. The rest of the points you raised will be resolved. The weather there is not as cold as it is in Canada. Most of the population are Muslims, so you will find the required atmosphere to practice your belief freely and safely without worries or fear. When it comes to people, they are friendly and nice in general. Remember wherever you go in the world you will find good and bad people. This is life. \nThe 2nd choice would be US. They have various of mixed nations. Language will not be an obstical. But, there are many Muslims there. Some of the states have very big Muslim communities. So I think it will be easy for you to find a suitable state and city to settle down there. \nWish you all the best for your coming days. May Allah open up the way for a very bright future.
