the way you paint Canada at the end is very untrue - refugees are treated horribly here. when we took in the people from Syria they were put in homeless shelters and weren't given food or proper clothing (it was winter and -30c out). as of typing this there are camps/tents set up in the streets of downtown toronto for refugees we just brought in that have no where to go. we brought them here in a hopes of a better life and made them apart of the ever growing homeless population. we also just deported over 700 Indian students who came to Canada under fraudulent circumstances. maybe if you are rich life is different (thats really all you cover) but if you are an International student or a refugee this is not the place to be - we take in so many International students because they have to pay 3x to 4x more than someone born here. do more research into your videos please this and the other comment i left are all breaking or top stories in canada not hard to learn and could of added so much to this topic instead of painting canada in a near utopian image

8:15 there’s a reason for this. It’s a melting pot in America. Bringing all these different cultures together… but if too many from one country show up, they’ll make a community too large that they don’t need to melt with the population. There are Chinatowns and Little Italys and whole Mexican communities, but ultimately everyone has to interact with everyone else. Allowing 300,000 Indians to get green cards every year and only 1,000 Norwegians would lead to the Norwegians merging well with the country, while the Indians would all move to one or two cities and make entire sections of the cities like small versions of their own country. Which is the last thing we want. Once an immigrant community gets enough power to be a voting block, things are scary, but once it has enough power that they start getting their own representatives and passing laws for the rest of us? Laws the look like laws they had back in their own countries… that led them to run from their countries in the first place? It’s a concern. We want people to adapt to the USA and not try to adapt the USA to them. Over time, the US does change due to the growing voting blocs. But that’s after generations of those immigrant populations getting larger, and their children being born and raised in the country they’ve adapted to. When I see a protest of Muslim immigrants burning pride flags, or Chinese and Spanish-speaking Hispanic immigrants who never bothered to learn English, I see problems with our immigration system. But the kids of the Arab immigrants will be more tolerant, and the Hispanic kids will have grown up in American schools. Most Chinese-American kids might speak some Chinese at home with their parents, but they’re worse at it, and their first language is English. It takes second Generation immigrants to really start meshing with America. But if entire school districts are all Indian, and every store, restaurant, and business in a whole town is Indian, then those kids won’t adapt to America. They won’t get bits of their home culture from their time at home and with their neighbors, while also getting bits of American culture from their classmates and other people around them. Nope. They’ll only be exposed to the first Generation who completely took over the area- IF, we allowed for unfettered immigration from the largest countries. It’s a fact that immigrant communities like to stick together. But if not enough people are in that community that you need to reach out to others around you, it helps expose you to the rest of America… Anyway! There are a ton of shows that indirectly show this phenomena. Fresh Off the Boat. The Sopranos. Even Brooklyn 99. We see as traditional and hard-to-adapt parents have to deal with kids in the next generation who are more American, don’t follow the same customs and traditions as their parents, and overall just left more of their old culture behind. No one is asking that immigrants abandon their cultural ties, but if you come to America, there are things that people need to change and accept if they’re going to live here.

Or even worse off than this,throughout the years the two will watch random people who have no degree,no language,no skills,no interest in learning American culture walking into the US with their lottery won Green Cards and living a life full certainity,comfort and prosperity.They also commit in frauds and other money related crimes to make easy money in their new land.They will even have the right to vote in few years.This DV lottery system must end,who will prompt an action on this at WH who knows

All I can say as a Canadian is why would anyone want to move to the USA.The more I learn the more I love where I live the USA is a hot mess and watching the kind of people that you elect is mind boggling . I'm a Chinese Born Canadian trying for a green card and this hits close to home. \n\nI have a coworker grew up in the Midwest, who doesn't know how to read or write Chinese but faced the risk of being deported back to China because his father never managed to get a green card. This guy had a PhD in Machine Learning and was one of the smartest people i knew. \n\nI would've felt supremely guilty if i'd won the lottery but he was stuck on his student visa, given that I can work in the US on a TN but he needs an H1B to stay.

With due respect to the two participants- their opinion appears biased - there’s a lot to appreciate and learn living in this part of the world - lifestyle in India is definitely different with it’s own flavors but lifestyle in western countries has it’s own charm as well!

People travel with different mood swings and mindsets. Also with loss, emergency, fear and sitting for a long time in discomfort, and traveling with strangers next to them like that... Adding fuel to the fire someone (a child) kicking them from the back seat is too much. Parents should take responsibility to help their children learn to sit properly on the flight without creating any trouble for the co-passengers.

1. While McDonald's was originally created in the US there is a 2nd version and its 100% Canadian. After the u.s. McDonald's began franchising one of the brothers became so disgusted with the lack of regulation in the US on what is considered 'food' he moved to Canada and relaunched the chain. While the restaurant named remains the same and a handful of the main burgers the two companies are completely separate and have nothing to do with one another.\n\n2. Gov work, nurses, doctors, teachers, etc have a regulated minimum wage of 7.25 are you ....... kidding me??? 3. The US has no paid maternity leave u have the baby take 2 weeks off unpaid and back work 4. Server's make 2.13 + tips an hour ...... 5. The federal and state government recommend homes in the city have sewage plumbing BUT it is not required. There are literally houses in the southern states with the toilets flushing right into the front or backyard. 6. Perfectly fine to pay a man more than a woman in the US because a woman isnt a man. 7. And if a woman literally becomes a man by changing 'her' name + physically in appearance via surgery/hormones/whatever she still won't get paid the same as a man because she still not viewed as a man: no gender rights. 8. Where's the healthcare when the US has the highest taxes in the world??? 9. Classist. 10. No regulated education. Literally there is no rules on teaching the students these days are learning absolutely nothing. There's no such thing as regulating education in the US anymore 11. The country is over 33 trillion dollars in debt..... These people need to learn how to come to America legally and stop demanding entry for free. Its not fair for people who go through the legal process. I filed a petition for my mom and sister to come to the US and paid more than $1k. We’re still waiting and it’s been more than a year!

Totally agree with the batshit crazy comment. I’m there every winter many places, and have learned to avoid certain topics. My wife and I have talked about moving away from Winnipeg. We've floated a lot of ideas, but there were places where we'd have to learn a new language that ranked higher than moving just a short drive south, into the USA. We'd need to have a damn good reason to even consider it.

So every talk so right, but same in india was very nice . I am here 35 years in NY. But today if I can go back I will go. I fill alone. Children went there life ,we both husband and my self , fills so alone. After returning to spent time I started to learn new language. Now days internet is good , so I can learn and spent time.

Why can't they come here legally?? My grandparents crossed the boarder and became legal Citizens. Followed the laws adopted the country and didn't try to change the country. They learned the language and worked migrant jobs until they found better jobs. They encouraged us all to stay in school and better ourselves. We are mostly all college educated and we learned so much from the experience. We didn't need hand outs and we didn't need loan forgiveness. The country is making huge mistakes right now and they spend like there ate no consequences but the real ignorance come in those who support the spending...

I live in Canada (Quebec), and I dont think I would move to the US, not even sure I want to visit...\nAnd the thing is, if you would have asked me maybe 20 years ago, I would have loved to live there, in NY even.\nMind you, I dont have any firm confirmation of how it is, but if we listen to the media, it seems like simply walking in NY is risky, thieves and mentaly ill people at every corner. What I'm getting at is that the picture drawn by the medias is one of complete insecurity, dirty and almost evil place, fill with mostly good people, but surrounded by madness left unchecked (sorry for my bad english, still learning).

I am a born Canadian and never I would move in the US because I've seen a lot of Americans here in Canada and I don't like their behaviors. They behave disrespectfully like they don't care about your culture and your actual country, they act like they are the king of the world, owe everything and they literally just transfer their attitude in your country without trying to adapt, learn and understand the way we are. So to me it's all about their attitude. I also heard while I was traveling in UK that Amricans are the worst tourists for the exact same reasons. I know not all Americans are like that but sadly a good % are.
