I visited Vancouver last year. I thought I was in mainland china ??.

I was born and raised in Canada and in my 60’s now. I can’t afford to live here anymore, healthcare has declined, personal safety, fuel costs, insurance etc. most of all our politics are a mess on all three major parties. The Liberals are a royal mess and inflation went through the roof. They’re just running around like the 3 blind mice making fools of themselves. The Conservatives are involving themselves in a right wing romance with fascist trumpianism and think poutine is an ok guy. The hate speech is unreal. We used to be a real chill country. I have young 20 somethings telling me they think Communism is a great idea and they would rather fight for poutine if a war breaks out. Well it’s their future not mine. The AI, bots and trolls on the internet are telling them what they want to hear in order to stir up hate and entitlement. The NDP (New Democratic Party) is neither here nor there, they’re kind of always the minority and swing both the other two parties to divide the vote and gain some form of temporary power. \nI’d like to see a politician that has the balls to stand up to the dictators of this world that shit disturb in every continent because they are such little insecure bastards that they think they can conquer it. I’ve got news for them. Every single dictator in history has failed… miserably and often brutally. We need the kind of leadership in our Country that can produce good governance. Our GDP is just under $60K. The dictators out there are rubbing their greedy little hands, for if there is ever a 3rd world war, Canada will be the prize. We are loaded with resources. Land mass, water, minerals, oil and gas, technology, geographic strategic stronghold etc. Don’t let it slip into the hands of fascists, communists, dictators or totalitarians they always make it worse so that it takes a lifetime to recover. I’ve spent 40 yrs in the workforce, and listened to countless people from every continent who told me the truth about why they left their homeland. People who survived WW2, the Korean War, Vietnam War, communist China, expansionism of the USSR, the caste system and political persecution in India and Bangladesh. Political unrest in Argentina and Chile. I have personally witnessed systemic racism in the USA and Canada. \nI don’t have anything tying me down to stay here so I will be moving on. I think I’ll just become a nomad tourist for a while.

The result is Canadians, like Soviets, get to wait in line at food banks for a meal. Unlike Soviets who lived in crappy apartments, Canadians get the luxury of living in tents or cars. I can do you one better! I worked at a tax office in Burnaby BC where the owner is Chinese and whom claimed millionaires from China who were non residents (still actually living in China), and claimed no income alrhough they wee multi millionaires and claiming child tax and GST cheques and he would save them for the 6 months until they came back into the country and then would come pick up rheir months worth of cheques... He also made me upload the Canadian immigration exam that included all the answers to hand out to the millionaires who were just here to buy up residential properties and screw over Canadians! That is just one tax office there are tons doing this and the government knows it and does nothing to help homeless citizens!!! I will never be able to afford a home and I am not drug addicted and I work full time in a white collar job!

Canada needs immigranst, but the skilled ones from all over the world. Most of 1m immigrants are from India and China. The vast majority of international students are Indians. Most of them are enroled in fake or low ranking institutions. So we got more than 1m Indinas in one year. What happened to diversity and multiculturalsm? I'm sure that they will all vote for JT.

BC changed their labour laws to where an employer only has to give 2 hours of paid work in a day and they call that a job. Saskatchewan changed their labour laws to where an employer only has to give 3 hours of paid work in a day and they also call that a job. If employers would get the same kick backs and perks for hiring Canadians then there wouldn't be a need for hiring temporary foreign workers and the illegal immigrants and providing them with housing that Canadians, especially veterans, don't get. Plus the federal government allows China to buy Canadian businesses and all they have to hire is 1 Canadian and after that they can bring in all the Chinese workers they want. That is what needs to be stopped andCanadians would hopefully get a full time liveable wage job and not become homeless.

We have a job shortage, not a labour shortage. In addition to the international students, the liberals created many special immigration pathways, one of which issues to almost everyone in Hong Kong a 3year work permit followed by a PR giveaway. These Hong Kong people are highly educated and skilled, but some of them I met said it is very difficult to find a job in Canada now. They have to accept a junior position with 6 years of experience or even work a survival job. The reasons that keep them here are cheaper house price and can stay away from China and they are gladly being lowballed. Helping people is a good thing but I feel that our young people are being sold, I've heard from many of them who cannot find a job recently.

It's a double edged sword. The industry (fast food, food retailing, services) WANT those people, be it international students, refugees or other to work because there is insufficient response from the local population of young people. Even certain restaurants and hotels had to remain CLOSED after the pandemic, because they could not find enough people to work. The government covid money dissuaded the local population from working. It is a huge mistake to admit so many Indian students attending low-credentialed private colleges and then allow them to work 20-30 hours a week. Trudeau and Miller are to blame for this. But at the same time, there was a labour shortage due to the ageging population and the fact that people have fewer kids today. Canada should give greater priority to trained professionals in areas where there is a need, such as construction, education and nursing. People in India, China, eastern Europe and other countries can get very good training in technical colleges, but it is the wealthy families in these countries that don't want their kids working these jobs.

The entire thing is a lie. We don't need people...we're a Country whose GDP is built on Natural resources...Not Tim Horton workers. And now with AI we'll need even fewer workers but it's too late...they're in, and they can now bring in all their relatives. Canada is already gone...I was born and raised in Vancouver and it began right after Expo 86 with China flooding Vancouver. It's all part of the plan...it's planned to collapse. Not once in the history of Canada have we built more than 200K new homes, yet here we are with a 500K per year mandate on new immigrants, with last year bringing in 1.2M? If you do not put strict quotas to countries like India and China, they will surely make sure Canada is India 2.0. Only the highly skilled, super smart people from those countries should be accepted the rest should not even be able to come via marriage.
