I live in America, but I’d suggest going to Istanbul. My husband is from there and we’ve been so many times. It’s beautiful, definitely an islamic country but there is still so much tourism it’s an eye to other cultures as well. So many people speak English as well. Good luck wherever you land.

Most in New Brunswick like the low rating because it keeps people from moving here. Well, until covid happened. Because we managed COVID well, over 50,000 people moved here; most from ON, and that sent our housing market crazy. Many home values increased by $250,000 and that has created a housing crisis here because New Brunswickers don't make as high wages as most others. I've been in every province and territory in Canada and they all have there pluses and minuses. Which, is why I find these videos more entertaining then of any real value.

I've come across numerous comments urging people to leave and not return. As a Muslim, I find the notion of immigrating to Western countries surprising. Our beliefs often clash with theirs, making integration a challenge that often requires compromising our principles. India brings a complete opposite religion, language and ideology to foreign countries. It’s the Indian the does not participate in community activities, and integrate into a true Canadian national identity. This refusal has ultimately resulted in Indian being discouraged and quickly blaming others for the problem they have. If rent in downtown Vancouver on the 25th floor is to expensive, maybe try moving to more rural communities in Canada, where costs are different in living. If you come from a poor punjab province in India whereas you’ve sold the farm to come , then don’t expect a downtown Toronto sky rise , 1500 square foot 17th floor underground heated parking, to be the dream destination of your vision. It’s comparable to moving from the punjab to downtown Delhi and expecting the same cost comparisons to the punjab. Unfortunately it’s not sad to see the Indian people go. Hopefully Canada will begin immigration of more cultural like minded people and more people that have religious alliances, than some completely opposite ideology than a Canadian nationalist.

Why would they want to go to Canada. When they've got to apply. Americans southern border is wide open and a free for all those entering illegally. Plus you get a free life as an illegal migrant in the United States. Free housing, free medical, free food, free cellphone, free clothes, free childcare, free transportation. If your an illegal migrant your treated better than actual American citizens. So we all know why Canada's immigration has slowed.

I don't even know what to think as an open work permit holder. Where I was from, 2 years ago, i sent like 20 job applications, went to 5 interviews and got 2 offers. Took me 2 months but that was it.\n\nNow I'm starting my 4th month in toronto and sent more than a hundred applications, and I've not even gotten a single interview. I had naively assumed that having a certified native-level proficiency in English would ease things up a little, but i just feel completely ignored in this city. Might have to cut losses and just go somewhere else. Rent is insane.

Inflation has affected EVERY country PERIOD. I've lived in Mexico the past few years and have seen inflation affect Mexico just as badly as my home country.

Because Canadian citizenship doesn't give you lots of rights. In the EU, even if you get citizenship in one small country, you can easily move to another European country. I've worked 5.5 years in the Netherlands in an ordinary town. I'm a Dutch citizen now, and I can easily move to Paris/Brussels/Rome. I'm moving in the upcoming months. Europe is kind of one big country, and Canada is a sparsely populated state with a notoriously cold climate everywhere.

Best news I've heard in awhile

I've spoken to many immigrants who complain about the cold and the weather in general and every single one of them talks about making money in Canada, looking for ways to shelter their taxes back in their own country and their dreams for being able to retire and return to their home country.

People who come to Canada after receiving their PR struggle way too much. When you apply for a job here, they require you to have 1 year of Canadian working experience. How does someone fulfill that criteria if they've just landed in a new country? The government should instead open PR for only blue-collar jobs, which are actually in high demand. The whole immigration program otherwise feels like a scam. You shouldn't be getting any points for your educational and professional qualifications in the application when, in reality, it's not going to help you afterward. Most of the people I know here are planning a relocation because they don't see themselves owning a house anytime soon.

They know it's a rap. This free reign they've had is over now. In november, we will elect someone who will protect us, not them. They know it's now or never.

Why are all the places I've lived, and looking to live in the future, owned by immigrants? I can barely afford the rent. Just a big old screw you to Canadians and their future.

How about you get an education in your own country. I'm Aussie and we set limits on our own people at University and their education so that they can profit of foreign students, most being from China and India even though they have the 2nd and 3rd highest GDP's in the world and 1st and 2nd highest populations in the world, so they should be able look after their own instead of jeopardising the education of our own, but then Goverment will say we need to increase immigration to 400,000 a year ( just hit 27 million, 2 decades before we ment too) of mainly skilled workers who got their skill and education from our nation instead from their own people. All of this during a housing crisis, cost of living crisis, small job market and overwhelming Immigration. Dumbest plan I've ever heard.

Lived here for a Loooooonggggg time ! And believe me everyone's struggling here ... this country is soon to be a nightmare for immigrants (it already is).. Some negative feedback in Canada, for sure it is true, but can't control if people come and go to Canada, I've immigrated to Canada 20 years ago, and tell you to have a good stable job as a professional from you home country to Canada to find the same spot, involves a lot of work, perseverance and motivation. If they quit that's on them, if they complain on taxes etc, well that's the system. Stay or move out that's it.

We've got 80k orphans in Canada (last estimate I read). If our families cannot support our own children....because they don't have financially stable families, or they've been abandoned by parents who couldn't support these kids....then how can we justify taking on 'workers' who are essentially orphans from other countries? Foreign peoples are claiming our birth rates are too low...but if we've got abandoned kids sitting there this is obviously a false statement. Those kids were displaced by foreign workers...with their families. Foreign workers are realizing this....and those that didn't find jobs are leaving.

As an Indian who moved to study in Canada 5 years ago, It's the best decision I've made in my life. I work in tech and the money I make in a year in Canada, is what I'd make in 10 years in India. I save around 20-25 lakhs every year even after living my best life. Not sure what these news channels are on about.

Indian news exaggerating the situation in Canada. I've been living in Canada past 5 years. I've never made more money and never lived my life better. \n\nWhen a million students come to study every year in 2 major intakes, it's obviously hard to find jobs. Canadian government has rightfully put a cap on this number to prevent this. The only mistake they did was not putting a cap 3-4 years ago.
