I have such mixed emotions about the immigrants I know that they should not be allowed to come in as that large of a group into our country because we have enough problems right now taking care of ourselves here in the United States I know that there's a lot of reasons why they should not be able to cross the border but at the same time I feel really sorry for them, look at them, they're crying they're starving they're hungry they have no home have nothing to go back to they have no job they have nothing and they're in the thousands .... what do we do?? what are we supposed to do, it just driving me crazy to know that many people are suffering like that but they can't come into the country too many of them... I think countries like this need mandatory birth control because if a country overpopulated self Beyond its means there's not going to be jobs then people need birth control to control their population better ❤❤❤

seriously my heart breaks for these people, but for fucks sake we have inflation, our two party system seems to be failing in the way of agreeing and working on anything together, rising cost of living, etc, we can't take EVERYONE, this is ridiculous, if we do the children being born today won't even recognize the america us Mid Mellenials experienced, I am all for proper immigration, and some asylum, but we would be better off by trying to help them go home and fix thier country, so sad the American dream is slipping away more and more.

The people coming in know that they aren't going to get shot so why not try? Worst case scenario they'll just get sent home. My heart tells me that everyone deserves a chance for a better life in our country but my brain tells me we are full up folks! Folks, I need to educate many for a second. When you immigrate to this country you DO NOT become a citizen when you get legal clearance. You can become a permanent resident at best which means you can live, work and do most other things here legally. You DO NOT get to vote or work in government agencies as a lawful permanent resident. To become a citizen you have to wait a minimum of 3 years, or more depending on your permanent resident status, to then apply for citizenship. You then apply for the citizenship application and if accepted the process requires you to take a test and go through a series of questions about U.S. history and government knowledge in an interview that you need to pass, before you are awarded citizenship. Through this process you are SUPPOSED to be committing yourself to the United States of America as someone who denounces your allegiance to your old country and is now pledging your allegiance to the U.S. This is now your home country and you treat it as such. You are now an AMERICAN, not a whatever from wherever that just lives in America. It should be a big deal and one to be proud of. I know people that have been here for 25 years as a permanent resident and they still have no desire to become a citizen. They have lived off of this country, raised families in this country, worked and benefitted from this country and still align with their old country and are completely amiss to what it means to become a U.S. citizen. There is a reason that only citizens are allowed to vote! Because you should have an allegiance to America and should vote accordingly and not be allowed to work in our governmental agencies for the same reason. Legal status and citizenship are NOT the same.

The lies that are being told to these people to make them put themselves at risk to come here is disgusting. Do you all honestly think the U.S. can handle this influx? Many, many of these people have no home to go to, no money, no assets, no idea where they are going. The democrats are using them as pawns in their political agendas. They throw them a couple of bones to make them decide to make the trip and then don't give a crap about them after. And to take the money that us Americans work hard for and pay for this is despicable. We paid 40k in taxes and special programs last year and we don't get a single word in as to where it gets spent. Our social security will be eaten up by the time we are old enough to collect it and we will probably never use disability due to a moral standard. I'd much rather keep all of our $ and then give it to whom I feel deserves it. Many of these people are not bad people, but they will use our handouts and most will not try or have the ability to get off of them. This administration is the most inhumane, America hating administration I have ever witnessed or heard of here in the U.S.

Wow! That was wild. Here in San Ysidro everything was calm and actually civil. People waited their turn. I live nearby so I saw it with my own eyes. People at las Americas outlet would pass by food to them and the officers gave them the food. I was an immigrant 35 years ago I am now a us citizens and although I love the USA, I will always remember the struggles I had to go through. The hunger, the injustice, the reject and the cultural assimilation, learning a new language, and work work work until I couldn’t no more. All those efforts paid off and I believe EVERYONE has a right to have a better life. I have family members in Canada and Europe who are also immigrants and also go through these struggles. If they don’t make it to the USA, I hope the Mexican government takes advantage of this immigration influx, after all, the USA is great because of us. While driving to Alaska I picked up a crying ww who was stranded about 20 miles away from home. She seemed to be a nice lady until we went over a hill and was immediately passed by a police officer going in the opposite direction. He looked at me (in a new white firebird) then at her and put on his lights. I warned her the police will turn around and stop us because he saw her. She didn’t believe me so I instructed her to simply observe. We both looked at the speedometer, 61! He turned around and came up behind us. I pulled over and he walked to the drivers window and asked HER if she was ok? She stated yes. He rudely asked for my license and registration and stating I was doing 70 in a 60. She attempted to defend me but he ordered her to be quiet. Her mouth dropped. I informed him I was at 60 but didn’t know the road would drop. He wrote me a ticket. I scribbled my name, he tore the ticket off the pad and threw it in the car. Asked her if she’s sure she was ok? She said yes and he walked away. She was clearly saddened and offered me dinner once she got home. She kept apologizing and I stated we live this way everyday and I’m use to it. Thanks for the offer but I’m on my way to work. At least he didn’t take my car. She started crying. I informed her she didn’t do it so not to worry, just learn from the experience. I left Canada and later was notified at my address in California I had a warrant for an unpaid speeding ticket, then later notified I was banned from Canada for carrying an illegal firearm. I imagined what could’ve happened if I was alone. Stay out of Canada! The system seems to be the same as America.
