Same situation here in greater Vancouver. Surrey, Delta, Abbotsford, and other places completely overrun by south Asian immigrants. Mass immigration fraud (international students, temporary foreign workers, asylum seekers, family reunification, etc) has ruined this part of Canada.

First the government said she doesn't have enough money .and she apply again this time they said if she to school here after finish she not come back to Vietnam .what hell ? Think twice if you want to move to Canada for better life without job. This is not a country for many professionals. They will use same excuses used back to 20 years ago to reject you: no local work experience, no Canadian degree, etc. The truth is no opportunity. They just want you come to spend money for paying higher rent, living expenses to make economy grow. Their middle class population is dying everyday. All the students who are already in Canada should have the option to be eligible for a PR, they (the Indian students) went there for a better life, they have their entire existence dependent on the fact of becoming a Canadian citizen eventually. I love Cape Breton. Canada is a big country. Our family immigrated to Halifax and then lived in Lake Simcoe area, then Kirkland Lake, Ontario, then lived in three or four homes in Edmonton. But the population of Alberta has tripled since I lived there and the population of Canada has doubled. Cities are mostly the same in the U.S. or Canada. I've lived in Philadelphia and Boston and on the coast of Maine. Maine and Nova Scotia share much in common. Cities are the problem: over-crowded, expensive, lacking decent employment, crime infested, etc but this is true in most of the cities of the world, whether in India or U.S. or Canada. Don't blame the country for city problems;.

Been in Canada for 26 years and came as a student. I'm all for balanced immigration and not over populating. What this gentleman forgets to mention is that Canadian universities and colleges promise opportunities galore upon completion. So often these students are taking out massive loans in hopes of paying back some portion of it with post grad work permits.

I came here from India to Canada to research in machine learning at a top lab. Every single tim horton has an Indian PR holder who has never been to college. I feel like I am back in India lol.
