While everyone is focused on the southern border, no one has been paying attention to the Northern Border and our Ports of Entry. I live on the border between New Brunswick and Maine, and Border Patrol Agents have told me this. \nUnless your an American citizen, its extremely simple to enter Canada. Their immigration laws are very weak, at best.

Perhaps its time for us to speak up and get the media to listen to employees instead of the ultra-wealthy so we can become efficient and well rested like many European labor forces, and not become the next Japan which seems to ignore employee needs.\n\nLet's give workers 5 or so weeks of actual time off as in Europe to prevent chronic burnout so we can keep up their productivity. Lets stimulate domestic tourism through this actual time off and revitalize rural Canada, creating business opportunities and jobs. Lets let our newly refreshed and productive workforce create world class companies like in Germany. \n\nAll it requires is we treat employees whether local or newcomer with respect, that labor organizations and companies cooperate to prevent burnout, and we have strong labor laws to prevent abuse by bad employers so employees can have enough time for friends, family, and things they like to do. This sounds easy, so lets fix this productivity crisis.\n\nJust my opinion.

I am going to tell you all the truth. I moved away from Canada in 2006 and lived in China up until 2019 (moved back to Canada). I saw China develop into a superpower, hiccups and inflation galore. But taxes are relatively fair and the opportunity to build something was always present. I find Canada has become a terrible choice especially now (totally neutral standpoint). If you didn't get into the housing market pre-pandemic, it will be harsh and you will be either a mortgage or tenant slave. The taxes are outrageous, utilities, insurance... these items are MUCH higher than China (and most countries). Owning a vehicle comes with high costs and you basically need one if you don't live in a top tier city. And then you are overpaying in living costs. Income tax (25-60%), property tax (about a month's salary), HST (13%)... and what do you get in return? A broken healthcare system, more freedoms (debatable), your children learning about woke agendas? An inadequate pension? If you are not in the top 5-10% (and I am), this is a very bad deal. My advice is to try to earn online with a passion and live in a location where you can actually save. Coming to Canada for the experience is great. But trying to build up in Canada is not a great choice. I am on the winning side warning you, Canada is saturated... look elsewhere.

So it's a cut throat world and you do what you need to do to make sure you have a roof over your head and food to eat. \nAnd if that makes somebody an unattractive prospects then be it. \n\nThere is a reason Canada wants this many people to join the work force, but the truth is the youth is busy partying and overall productivity of the Canadian population has decreased. \n Which is why they needed these students to come in the first place. And now they are the problem!!

Canadian here, born and bred in Toronto. Just where are you getting those housing prices for Canada $550,000 per house??! As I live very close to Toronto just to get into the housing market now you need at least $1 million Canadian. I think it down payment now is $50,000 or more. I am disappointed with this video. The problems mentioned here are in USA and UK as well. We form opinions based on our experiences. I have no complaints against Healthcare as I was operated in few hours in emergency and never had to wait long for diagnostic tests. Education in Canada is affordable compared to US. Air and Food quality is great. People are extremely friendly. Yes, the housing crisis is there especially post Covid but hoping the market will correct gradually. In my experience, every country has pros n cons and one needs to make a choice between their home country and Canada comparing both based on one's priorities and preferences.Canada changed our lives in so many good ways and my whole family appreciates it. Canada is ovetall a nice country. And it's not easy to get PR. If you get , it's luck n hardships to settle in any new country.

I bealive new immigrants needs to adopt Canadian Values and way of living. They see Canadá as we are so nice and stupid, taking advantage of public services. When you immigrate to a country you are curios and open to learn a new culture you are leaving your country because there is things that you don’t like and you see your self with the same values of other culture. Once you are in Canada you are evolving and adapting to new ideas, and methods of living, most important you are here to contribute to society and the economy by taking care of your self by working hard upgrading your skills, help others follow the rules. Not the opposite you don’t move to be taken care off by taking advantage of government programs, if you honestly and truly need the government help the program is there for you if not you have a moral responsibility to contribute to this country/ planet.

The ratio of men to women is also insane. I have noticed there is way more uneducated men coming in and a lot of them are not culturally accustomed to Canada when it comes to how to behave. The amount of times I’ve seen them in groups hanging around the playgrounds or joking about kidnapping / r@pe, following women, its crazy. Or even posting ads for rooms to rent but as a male requesting only females. \n\nWe are moving out of a city we love because they are driving up rent prices and taking jobs. \n\nI’m not against immigrants or different cultures being here but there needs to be some sort of better application process and smaller number of them coming in at a time.
