Trudeau always disappears during a crisis, leaving us to fend for ourselves - (1) COVID, he was at the cottage using every excuse not to be accountable for anything or using unconstitutional powers to crush a protest he didn't know how to handle, (2) Chinese spies, he's ignoring our intelligence service, (3) federal worker strike, he's in NYC at some gala.... Maybe that is the case, but is it? and if so why is the average wage in Guyana so much lower? so choosing only one specific stat can make any point of view seem true. you have to look at the bigger picture.\nnow the issue is Canada has been getting more unequal but it is still much better than the US. so what it means is that the higher worker productivity in the US benefits corporations and billionaires far more than it benefits the average American. now if we compare cost of living say between NYC and Toronto:\nCost of Living in Toronto is 37.5% lower than in New York, NY (without rent) \nCost of Living Including Rent in Toronto is 47.1% lower than in New York, NY \nRent Prices in Toronto are 59.2% lower than in New York, NY \nRestaurant Prices in Toronto are 34.5% lower than in New York, NY \nGroceries Prices in Toronto are 33.0% lower than in New York, NY \nLocal Purchasing Power in Toronto is 7.2% higher than in New York, NY \nand this is similar when comparing almost all large Canadian cities with a comparable US one. And whilst housing and NIMBYIsm is real issue you have very similar issues in the US which also has almost no mix zoning. But throw in safety nets and go ask Canadians if they want to change for the US system. I doubt most will. Sure some want things to change but some assuming everyone wants an ultra capitalistic society. most are ok with less growth ut better balanced growth (the exact opposite of the boom and bust US model)

A Fentanyl super lab in BC capable of producing over 95 million lethal doses that was busted was run by an Indian. This is now threatening trade with our main trade partner as a trade war has just started. ENOUGH ALREADY! Indians need to be sent home, and banned from entering Canada.

If Canada uses it's wisdom to choose a leader with an aptitude for economics, and behaves with the collectivistic humility we are known for, perhaps we will weather this storm and come out stronger on the other side. When making decisions from fear or anger, Canadians become individualistic and do our entire nation a major disservice by destroying any chance of using this crisis to propel our way out of the pit we are currently in. One big problem Canada has, is USA. Canada is better to be in if you aren't established, poor people do not suffer as badly as those in the usa who have no money. But if you are established, living in USA is better, you pay less taxes, and you make more money on average, and you have more access to a larger market, so what people do is use Canada to become established, then leave. And because USA is just a hop skip n jump, its easier than if you were to move over seas.

Not only is Canada bringing in mass amount of unskilled immigrants, but they are are subsidizing their wages, driving down wages even further as Canadians entering the work force can't compete for jobs when companies can pay well below minimum wage for foreign workers who will be topped up by the government. Our own taxes are being used to make our own citizens more poor.

They have started loosening zoning laws in many cities across Canada two years ago. I have noticed discounts to new homes in my area and some used homes started to go down in values. Even as a home owner, I still hope housing values go down. It will make it much easier to move into a nicer neighbourhood or into a larger home if life requires it.

Boomers in Canada are very nimby thus making housing so much harder to build, leading to younger generations emigrating to other countries like south of the border. Also eating up lands zoned to industrial, and thus making industrial rent more expensive to the remaining patches of land available on city outskirts. \n\nMaybe it’s time to review the policies overall. Canada has been treating its older generations like kings, with their large lawns and healthcare which they frequently use…while younger generations and immigrants work like a slave.

Recent military retiree here. I've had to endure quite some time of my military service walking on eggshells because one of these snowflakes might get offended. i dont understand why they dont just offer aid to families and people who actually need it and allow them to come into the country safely as opposed to forcing them to make dangerous journeys using gangs and risk allowing criminals or gang members to get in. Canada border patrol overseers need to do a better job in securing that part of the border on that side. They can stop those buses and check those planes for them coming into the US. They could do it and they could do better job in doing that they don’t want to do it. It’s not a difficult thing to do use their brain a little bit that they probably have that doesn’t make sense. They’re still coming in from Canada. They’re just not affected if they were then they wouldn’t be coming in or sneaking in by buses.

It’s not that they hate America. That’s just the words they’re using to try to get the weak minded to follow them. The reality is that they’re making money off of illegal immigrants. Politicians are seeking power from illegal immigration as it skews the census. People who organize the protests are getting paid big bucks. Some of the people who are part of the crowd in these protests are also getting paid to make it look like a big deal in the hopes that the weak minded will follow.

My father was an American, I would never move to the USA . I used to enjoy to visit. However I find today that it is too dangerous.
