Canadians and Americans have fought side by side in two world wars, Korea, Afganistan and elsewhere in the world. One President can not be allowed to ruin the trade and relations between such great nations.

I'm a naturalized Canadian and I apologize to Americans about the trade war. Your president started this and we will not just keep quiet. We will defend Canada and its people.

I am a conservative and I admit that Donald Trump's tariffs will have a negative impact on Americans. If you think businesses are going to pay for the increased cost of importing and are not going to scale back their labor forces are raise prices you don't have an understanding of business and finance. The whole purpose of going into business is to maximize profit therefore they are going to offset the costs by raising prices on goods for Americans and vice versa. This is a trade war. Thanks.

I am very sorry for the damage and suffering that these tariffs and trade wars will cause to people in our two countries, as it is clear that many people are. It is obvious that Donald cares more about himself and his various fantasies than he cares about other people. Unfortunately, he is supported in this by his cabinet, congressional Republicans, and enough ill-intentioned voters to make this our new reality.
