I am of Indian heritage and from what I am seeing around the world its disgusting how Indians are behaving, its made me ashamed of having that heritage and its not just in Canada, they are destroying the reputation for all Indians, and you can't just say its only a small percentage. I was born and raised in England in the 60's, we respected the culture, and country we were in, and would never see this kind of behavior that we are seeing today. These students can't complain about the student fee, Housing , food and living cost .\n\nU can blame trudue for lowering the standards for student visa. \n\nTo my knowledge from friends i know as students durring high-school vs students coming to study at college. \n\nPrior to this issue these a few mandatory requirements \n\n- parents most make over 200 k usd , and assets .\n\n- you must have xxx amount in usd dollars equivalent in your bank account and open a HSBC bank account with xxx amount \n\n - u must show you can afford for your child to stay at a mandatory homestay , all the associated cost staying and studying in canada for min 3 years \n\nJust passing the first 3 requirements, most ppl get rejected. \n\n- most leave the home stay due to culture differences and end up renting a 1 bed room condo. \nThat alone back in harper days was 20 k a year.\n\nMind you these students i met are from Vietnam, a 3rd world country where a university graduate with 2 degree will make only $500 usd which is consider a very good job . Its equivalent to5 k / month . \n\nSo thier dollar isn't worth much , for their parents to have that much money to send a 15 year old to study hs in a foreign country is a luxury only a selected few can dream of\n\nAlso none of them worked and work permit wasn't allowed. Just want to say here something. I am from third world country too and came here few years back. Give an India a office job and pay them $12 per hour they would be very happy and give them $35 an hour and ask them to work outside they won't do it, because it is shame for them.

I am an immigrant from India so what i am going to say is a harsh truth. A lot of people come to Canada and then expect to do the same things they were used to do in their own countries. They forms groups, buy house in the same ethnic neighbourhoods as theirs. Because of this they do not grow. Lots of people who have been in Canada for decades cant speak english properly. They bring issues of their own country with them. They just don’t grow.

As a foreigner coming to India practically every year since 1975 I can say the way India is handling visa applications makes no sense. Foreigners who spend nearly all their income on Charity in India are denied an entry visa, year after year. And with only an tourist visa life is pretty unpleasant for non tourists.

As an Australian, I can honestly say that some of your countrymen who visit this country, are not the shining ambassadors for India. Overstaying their visas, criminal offending, visa fraud, and violence against women are just some of the problems we are experiencing. This may be contributing to an increase in visa rejections from Indian nationals.

As a Brit I know many decent integrated Indians here. But none of them are recent arrivals. Older immigrants were respectful and wanted to be British and adopt British ways. But newer immigrants act as if we owe them something while acting in disrespectful dirty disgusting ways. For example in India I have to use Indian toilets as Indians do. I don’t pretend I don’t understand how to use them, I don’t need instructions on the door and I don’t break the toilet by standing on it, shytting up the walls and all over the floor and leave it there like that’s normal. I’ve worked in offices where this was routine when Indian contractors were brought in. Integrated Indian men seem to take great pride in dressing smartly and smelling good. But it’s really common for Indians to smell REALLY BAD. Poor personal hygiene plus excessive amounts of Indian food (you’re abroad ffs try some different food!) creates a truly vile odour. Some Indian men also think it acceptable to stare at and harass British girls (although to be fair they do not have as bad a reputation as their neighbours) they are also rude and racist to white people especially women. Some Indians in 2025 still seem to think they’re living under the Raj and Britain is ‘oppressing’ them. They’re not and we’re not. The empire brought benefits to India and left peacefully over 70 YEARS ago. We don’t owe you ANYTHING. This victim mentality means India will NEVER be a proper first world country. You can flood the world with sheer numbers but you will never be respected or improve the world in any way, you will only ever leech off the invention of others. I do not mean to disrespect the many decent Indian people I’m just telling the truth. As a culture your presence outside of India is negative because of the way so many Indians act, trying to create India wherever they go. And they have the cheek to say this is ok because they got colonised. WELL SO DID WE! That is the truth.

As an Indian, I will say it again. Indian's needs to invest in Indain. Holiday in India, many places to visit. Keep Indian talent and brain power in India.

Controversial but I will say it, Canada is a FRENCH country with English as its second major language. No others language is as prominent, So if you are sure that a brown person is an IMMIGRANT and they can’t even speak ENGLISH properly let alone French, 99% chance he/she is a problem in your country and does labour work.

As an Indian national residing outside India I'm saying that most of the time it's always the Indians turning out be the most worst or annoying tourists in a country due to the lack of civic sense, respect to public property and them being unaware or unwanting to follow rules of the countries... alongside their use of fake or unofficial documents used for obtaining the visa

Please stop saying 5th largest economy when the basic needs are poorly provided. When you calculate the income of top 1% in India, that itself could amount to 1 trillion dollar. So I guess the rest 130 crore population barely makes anything.
