Gotta say, I get looked at like I’m shoplifting sometimes, even though I come into stores with a very small 6 inch purse or with no handbag at all, a jacket instead of coat, I greet the staff, and I’m caucasian. I think being treated like I’m a shoplifter even though showing no signs of being one (no place to hide clothes or merch) comes down to the incompetence of the staff. The staff might even have special needs but they don’t look like it. That’s pretty common too. That happened to me a couple months ago when I was shopping at ulta.

3:13 none of our health care is free.. none..it better to think of it pre pay if you use it or not... \n\nUnless you can magic medicine and diagnostic tools, that's what a percentage of your tax pays.\n\nIn my opinion neither the USA system of health care, nor canada do I see much off difference in level of care.\n\nWhat I mean that is each system has its trade offs. For Canada small thing like broken arm or need information or certain medication i n that way Canada supior way, it's fairly quick treatment and tends to be effictive. Where Canada starts lagging behind is really in RnD and access to life saving procedures. Too many people die on waiting lists in Canada as there is not enough resources to go around, y'all have waited 4-8 H(normal is 2-4) just to be seen before don't fib to web now. \n\nAnd since we lack competition for newer/better medical procedure, 80-90% of our medical knowledge comes from the states or ww2 Germany.\n\nWhile on say the USA side, due to the competition they are constantly making advancements (which in the long run makes overall treatment cheaper and closer affordable). While with Canada you have fixed prices, which actually encourages stagnantion in development as anything that streamlines the hospital making it more efficient hurst the hospitals next year of available funding.. while being hurt in the USA can really set the individual back.\nIn Canada you get an overall lower quality of care as the talented doctors end up moving to the states where they can get paid what they are worth not stuck on a fixed income. And after all that rare illnesses in canada as stated don't have any coverage meaning that any one hit with hit rare illness finds out the hard way they can either pay for life saving medication or well pass on.. as most Canadian are taxed to high to have any substantial savings available for such an emergency as they fall into the trap that the government has me covered. \n\nSo each system has its positives and negatives and as far as I'm concerned it's not talked about enough honestly up hear.\n\nIf you have been to the dentist in canada thats basically the usa system, though the prices are fixed in some areas so some services won't be available.. as they don't update the payment schedule often enough so certain procedures pay well, other well can actually cost the dentist out of pocket. \nTherefore in some areas you can't get certain procedures done at all the dentist will refuse.

Funny I’m from a small town\nAnd I’ve been going to the same gas station/corner store for like over 15 years and this new guy follows me and watches my every movement...and when these white kids I know are trouble makers he doesn’t do a thing lol the store owner actually told him “oh he’s okay I know the family” because he noticed the new guy watches my every move and I let it go for weeks but the owner told him I’m okay and he had this look like he wasn’t convinced lol needless to say he quit and now works at another store across town..another place I go to lol I said “hi man! Don’t like the area at the other place?” Lol just had to bug him because he’s uncomfortable around other races and it’s painfully obvious that he is lol

Zakir Naik will say my Muslim friends. A fool who belittles another religion by foolish reasoning, that person is now a great philosopher of Muslim society. There are such Muslim clerics all over the world who are making Muslims small in the eyes of the world. Don't Muslims know that they can't grow up by making others small? Has any Muslim society opposed him? No, it didn't. Because, Muslims do not have that courage, so as long as people like this Zakir Naik handle the Muslim religion, anti-Muslim hatred will not decrease. If service, peace is in any religion, then Shikra will be first.

Of course theres racism here.\nOf course police act in terrible ways.\nOf course no one wants to talk about it... \n\nAnd no, its not as bad as it is in the states... but it exists.\nWe militarize our police.. mostly from fear.. but also because its “good politics” to say “we increased policing”\n\nNo, its not right.\n\nCall it out.\nNot sometimes..every time. Especially if we want it to not come BACK.. which it seems to.\n\nTeach your kids. To stand up for themselves.. and for others.\nEspecially for others. Education starts at home. Dont trust schools or others to do what’s right... not until YOU do it too.\n\nSmall, steady steps will get us there faster than huge, resisted ones.\nRemember that.\nWhen a small step is taken, doesnt matter by who.. support it. Make the ones who took it feel it was WORTH TAKING... then watch how eager they are to take the next one.\n\nTrain them like a dog. One step at a time, with constant “atta boy”’s and treats.. and one day, they will just do as they should.. because its right? Because they want the pat on the head?\nDoesnt matter why, so long as they keep taking steps.\n\nWhen they take a step and everyone complains “its not enough” or “you dont really care”... why would they do it again?\n\nReward those small steps.. pat em on the head.. and they WILL do it again.\nPunish those steps, by complaining about it, because it didn’t solve everything at once?\n\nConditions them not to bother trying.

where do you start with people like this. She really believes that Canada belongs to her. Did you go to an all white Canadian White School. When you was a kid growing up. ? At what point did you start to notice that you was a different colour to other people. A small step but really great . You would think we as human with our high intelligence could know how closely related we all are but for some strange reason we cannot understand. I remember working in Macy’s and one day I was talking to a co-worker and I was saying how science has proven at one point or another everyone came from Africa . She said maybe me but not her. She was from Ecuador . I have one child and when he was 12 he truly did not see difference with anyone and I hope that feeling will be with him forever.

Even in small towns racism is rampant, its everywhere, those who say racism doesn't exist are white

Living in Latin America is not that bad, well there are parts where you should avoid at all cost but there are places where you can have a safe decent life, most of you just say what comes out of your small little brains without ever even leaving your city your whole life. Its just that this people have lived and been so dependent from your system and in stretching their hands( beg) all this time that they not know what to do now. \n\nHe said that he wasted 15 thousand dollars in lawyer, if it would have been me I could have perfectly moved to lets say Costa Rica or Peru and still have money to buy land. But they really are addicted to this kind of life. I agree that the people in El salvador have made violence to sky rocket because they have not done nothing about it, they left gangs and violence to proliferate and now its just too late for them. But there is still hope in other places in Latin America.

As a proud atheist, I find all religious costumes to be either degrading, or just plain hilarious. \nTheir minds are poisoned from the time they are born, and that's child abuse. \nWe should be asking why we are allowing so much immigration. The answer - families don't have as many kids. Why? Kids are expensive, and when your giving over half your salary to the government, having no kids may be your best option financially. So the government responds by keeping taxes high, and making up for smaller family sizes by recruiting immigrants from the Philippines, Nigeria, Sudan, etc.. The handful from Syria get all the attention, but they are a small fraction of the total. \nSo either start having more babies, or start preparing for the multicultural mosaic where the liberal values that made this country great will need to be protected, and I would say, promoted.

Yes Canadian history books say there was no Slavery. There was some but it was very small percentage. The issue is islam, not all muslims. Unfortunately those two often go hand in hand, making it hard to criticizes islam without people thinking you are criticizing all muslims, which isn’ the case. \n\nThe issue with the religion of islam is that it is inherently not peaceful (If you want to discuss why that is more so the case than other religions we can do that). In fact in many situations you will hear Islamic muslins part of a western country use the free speech given to them, under the laws and constitution of that society, in order to impose the suggestion of sharia law. This would mean no more free speech (and far more dire consequences) for others not of islamic belief under sharia law. Sharia law is a set of religious political laws used in the majority of middle eastern Islamic countries and cultures. It is truly a backward and barbaric set of laws, incompatible with democracy and I encourage you to investigate that claim. \n\nSo essentially decreasing islam in any scenario will also decrease the political climate it wants to live in. And not only live in, but given to text in the Koran, effectively dominate. Religious assimilation and toleration is not part of the religion. And in the small case that it is, those religious peoples are second class citizens. \n\nSo you can see how it may sound harsh to say “get rid of islam/muslims” if you are ignorant to the fact of both their possible separation and islam’s eventual political goals. \n\nNot all muslims want sharia law or are as fundamental/radical as others, but that distinction can be hard to make for many people, when a lot of them are silent. All you see are the riots and bombings across the globe by radical islamists, with little or no condemnation by the former. However once again I state, the issue is islam, not all muslims.\n\nIf you think I myself am ignorant of any of this information please attempt to convince me otherwise and I will thoroughly read your argument.

I find that with each generation, the issue with racism becomes slightly less and less, which is great considering slavery was abolished only for about 100 years. I find that living in Canada as a black millenial is much better then say living in the 70s. I never faced racism the entire time i grew up here. but then again I haven't been everywhere in Canada. I think the most you'll experience here right now is indirect racism in the small towns. but you just have to show them who you really are and most will be OK. I don't think a lot of the people still have the mindset left in the 1900s. especially not in the major cities where its so diverse. but there's racism everywhere no matter what you look like. I hope everyone can look past appearance and stereotypes some day.

While I understand the anxiety the Muslim woman in the video feels, her accent is as Canadian as it can be which tells me she probably was born in Canada or came here as an infant. She's obviously had enough time to assimilate. She either has or hasn't. If she has, she's being discriminated against for no other reason than that she's Muslim, which speaks to a mindset that is being espoused by Stephen Harper. When your leader says the things he's saying it doesn't speak well of the country. It would be more honest if he blocked all immigration of Muslims to Canada, but then the Muslims would really have a case if other nationalities were allowed in. Given Canada's small population they're kind of stuck.

I'm no fan of Islam but to be fair the report does clearly say that the majority of the Islamic community are condemning this small number of people who are doing this. Perhaps worth taking that into consideration before we all get worked up into a frenzy about Islam taking over the world. Obviously Islam is trying to take over the world but it'll take more than a few nutters on the street harassing gay people for it to succeed.
