Please do not let anyone on a study visa with an IELTS score below 7 in each of the sections, also test the students at the border on behavior and other Psychology related issues. This will ensure proper candidates are allowed, who know English and can speak it comfortably. Also train the existing students on skills required to contribute to Canadian labor market that too free of cost, this is due to lack of proper course curriculum required for the labor needs of Canada and practical training availability. Immigration is not just a money making machine, there has to be a vision and proper planning before brining in millions of immigrants who will eventually settle here, but their productivity and integration should bring long term benefits to the economy as is expected from a great nation like Canada.

I have been hearing this racist rant since I came 53 years ago blaming the immigrants. I have never worked less than 50 hrs a week since coming to Canada and am enjoying my hard-earned retirement. I'm afraid you don't mention that all Students must bring at least $50,000 for their duration. Imagine all the jobs they created e.g. Teachers, bought food and other essentials. By the way, they have their own medical insurance. There is a shortage of workers, and small businesses can find workers. The other day we stopped in Barry'Bay for coffee they were closing the place at 2:30 pm because they didn't have enough people. You cannot blame students for the housing crisis there are other factors. Canada's economy is doing fine compared to other G-7 countries. More foreign students will fuel the research and development of this country, so please respect them.

As an Indian myself, please stop this Punjabi and Gujarati Immigrants who cross into US. They spoil the name of every other Indian state people. We don't hate Indian's, the gov is allowing too many immigrants into Canada when we don't have enough housing to support Canadian's let alone the surplus of new comers. Dont cut immigration down.....tell me how did Indian intl student makes up about more than 80% out of all international students. Why didnt the government put a cap or a stop specifically just for Indian people? Why didnt the immigration look deep before giving student visa just like a snap of a finger and see if they can support themselve for school and living expense. \n\nI am an immigrant myself but when i decided to come to canada as a student. I made sure i had enough funds to sustain myself here in canada for 2 years until i can get my work permit then a head to PR. Nowdays I see a lot of international Students get access or abusing goverment facilities and benefits for which not entitle for them but Canadian residence only (PR or Canadian Citizen). I never ask for Cerb when covid happen, never ask food bank my part time job can fullfill that, paid my fare for using transportation, paid my rents and utilities on time and paid my credit cards. I worked in a retail store with where Indians shopped regularly. They were the very rude to the sales helps. They talked down to us and they were the worst thieves the store has ever seen. But the recent issues regarding new and harsh rules implemented for immigrants should have been covered at the time of releasing this video. These are fake students and equal participants in the biggest scam involving commission consultants, bank officials, and the fake diploma mill colleges. So please do not portray a rosy picture of higher education as these students can not even speak English properly. They are doing courses that hold zero value to get jobs that too from fake no credit colleges whose sole purpose was to make money with this scam. Whole ecosystem of corruption was created under this scam, there were even bank officials taking bribes to show enough funds in students account just by transferring money just for one day for students visa purposes. These students are acquiring no higher skills, but only filled the cheap labor jobs. They also lied to immigration officer that they have enough funds to live and will return to home countries after the course is finished. Rather, these students misused the local public services like food banks meant for poor people.

Please don't conflate legal immigration with millions of international students and temporary workers. Canada needs a legal immigration policy that works and right now it does not have that in place.
