To all those people saying the Indians took your jobs. You’re full of crap. Tons of work in this country to do. You are just too lazy to look for the right one. As much as I dislike seeing some of them making a bad name for the rest of Indians. The ones I know are very well educated people who come here to work. I’ve never seen a homeless Indian or one walking downtown drugged out of their faces. Every crack head and homeless person I see in any city in this country is straight up white, including the ones in your video. Go figure. Only thing that I would say that needs to be reviewed is the source @ 12:38 where you said 7% of the Canadian population leaves when in actuality it is ~ 0.7% to 1% which is an order of magnitude different that what was said. Brain drain is real but its not at a point where we are losing more than 1% of our population a year to the US just yet. I’ve been in Canada for over 24 years and I have never seen it like this in my life!\nThe main cause of the majority of issues is the housing crisis.\n\nWhat a lot of you might not be aware of is that we have not been building homes to keep up with the demand for over two decades. That’s why the price for housing has increased astronomically. And then our government decided to basically allow unfettered immigration in order to take advantage of the new immigrants’ money so they can use it to fund the Canadian Pension Plan.\n\nJust an FYI, the way CPP is funded is that the current group of working people are paying for the current group of retired seniors. And due to the lack of childbirths and people living longer, the CPP can no longer afford to take care of all the seniors in its system. Thus, the government devised a plan to have more people coming here so as to milk the money they have. Actually, they’ve even gone to the extent to basically allow seniors to be willingly euthanized… it’s absolutely bonkers.\n\nBut anyway, I digress… so then with housing at astronomical prices, you’re now pushing out the poor people onto the streets, causing homelessness. \n\nAnd when people are homeless, the average person will do drugs to escape reality and commit crimes to survive. Which is why it’s now increasingly dangerous in public spaces. \n\nThen, the transportation also never accounted for such a massive increase in population. At least not in Toronto. Which is also causing major inconvenience to go anywhere. \n\nIt used to be that if you lived in the suburbs, you could drive into Toronto pretty quickly but now, it takes like an hour and a half to two hours, making it extremely difficult to get around. And also, hard to take advantage of the “lower” housing prices in the suburbs.\n\nBut that’s not all. Part of the issue is that the Trudeau government wants to no longer have Canada use our oil and gas overnight, which is causing the increase in gas prices. Many Canadians still rely on gas because electric cars are not efficient in Canadian weather and are simply too expensive for your average person. And yet they cut off our supply of oil and gas which causes the price inflation of transport and anything that requires to be moved such as groceries and supplies.\n\nAnd don’t get me started on how our healthcare system is falling apart… even though we pay some of the highest taxes in the world…

I was thinking of doing my Masters in Computer Science in Canada but thankfully I didn't. Just after my decision Covid started. Thank god I chose to stay in India and got a job. Also not to mention the killing of so many Indians in Canada. It is not even safe for us to go there considering the terrorism.\n\nEdit - I also never saw Canadians complaining about Trudeau. The GOVT WONT solve this problem because if they actually meet the 5M new houses target and the housing becomes more affordable, imagine what happens to the cost of the existing houses and the loans that go along with it! Many people have just bought houses at 3X the asking prices thinking they can sell it 5 yrs later and never actually to pay it off, all those people will be screwed and in banks will be screwed in return. This huge immigration was just to strengthen the vote bank and not really to improve the economy of the country. It's a very old political strategy and people still get fooled and vote for it. I got a chance to get shifted to North America 24 years ago. By then I had reached a CXO level job in India and that company gave me a choice. I decided it was good in India, and my salary went up as the years went by. In USD terms I might have got lesser than in NA, but in purchasing power, I got more, I think.\n\nThen India's growth after Y2k happened and I got other jobs, and participated in stock options with start-ups with dynamic founders (India has a decent VC-PE network now, especially for technology people). 5 years ago I decided no need to work and be on my own, doing stuff I always wanted do, but income was more priority. Today I realise most of new wealth is being created in India: new ideas, new services, products, delivery systems, etc: all being thought of in India. Why go abroad, except for a vacation?\n\nToday I have a fairly substantial net worth that got created through those wealth sharing jobs and I realize when I visit NA, that I would never have got this, not unless I had been there for a long time, and certainly not in Canada - that's pretty clear.\n\nToday, India is the place where wealth is being made. If you have a product or service that is successful, or are a part of such an enterprise and get to share in the value creation (that's a risk, not a given, not guaranteed), India is the place to be. And by going out of India, you are taking a risk, this is no different, except we know India in our blood.\n\nIf you are entrepreneurial, or have the risk taking capacity to work with an entrepreneur and share his risk with stock participation, there a great probability you will do very, very well in India.\n\nThe biggest upside: YOU are now developing India!

Parents, grandparents and babis lived in the same household helping one another. Less cars, less insurance, spliting the costs, no baby sitting fees, no old age homes. Know even in India adopting the west coroporate culture have old folks homes. The media and TV in bed with coroporations have made people selfish that they will not stay together. Indians are in the same postion as whites. The older gen is left to fend for them selves, in the coming gen who will baby sit the kids, they to will get pets, it will be too expensive for them to have kids.

Out of the 39 Million Canadian population 1 million people are working and living in the USA in high paying jobs (Canada can't afford them)... Canada is a great place to live if you are a wealthy foreigner looking to park your money of unknown or questionable origin. Or possibly a retiree who scarcely ventures outdoors. For hardworking working- and middle-class people under the age of 50, regardless of where you live, where you were born, or what you do, your future is worrisome. About 80% of you don't want to know your future, if you haven't already figured it out. New leadership may help, but the problems go deeper than that.

You facts are way off to the point of being misleading. Then average cost of a home in the GTA is $1.2 million and by law you need a 20-25% down payment. Even if you're lucky to get that $800k home you need a 15% down payment of 15% so that's $120k! Incomes here suck you need over $250k to qualify for a mortgage...who earns that? My circle is lawyers, entrepreneurs, engineers and only 2 income professionals can get that. Over the last 10 years Canada has become very anti families and anti heterosexual so most people are single. It's also become super anti social. I've lived and traveled all over and everyone I know is making plans to go back to their home countries, countries of parentage or the US or Mexico.
