I've been hearing about immigration fraud in Canada for decades. It's very common knowledge around the world that Canada has the easiest path to fraudulent citizenship anywhere in the western world. Makes me sick when I hear people talk about it like it's a joke. But that's exactly what it is.

As a second generation son of Asian immigrants (Viet and Chinese parents), my parents had lived here for 7 years before they got citizenship and now these low moral Chinese scammers allow these uneducated people to illegally movebhere . This makes me so mad.

If he helped cheated on other's immigration proceedings, he must have cheated on his. Just look into his past immigration application, then Canada can take away his citizenship. Also, you should be able to seize all his asset because they are the proceeds of his crimes.

Canada's justice was way too nice to him, I don't mean to be xenophobic but he should have been deported with his citizenship revoked, he scammed the CIS for years and still got out with 90% of the stolen money from his clients and only 2 years of jail time.

They came to Canada to invest in the housing market. Many owners of houses and condos in Toronto/Richmond Hill and other areas live in China and pay managers to rent their property and take care of the money for them. China requested Canada to hand over Chinese citizens who took illegal sums of Chinese funds out of China but Canada refused due to the harsh Chinese sentences for that crime. Wealthy Chinese are laundering Billions of funds in the Canadian housing market and other investments. Although there are many other reasons for the Canadian housing bubble the fact remains that many young people and families residing in Canada can’t afford the inflated housing prices. Many Chinese come to Canada for their holidays, and one reason I know when they arrive is because my doctor is Chinese and every spring the office is packed with Chinese people who come to get their annual free check up, they all have Canadian citizenship and health cards too.

When they don't want to live in Canada and they love their country why they apply for citizenship, we had an almost same case in USA few years ago a Chaineas family brought 8 or 9 months pregnant Chaineas women to give birth to their children in USA for US passport and citizenship when police arrived at their home there were 35 couples in a 1800 square foot building with the new born baby and some at hospital and they normally left US after few weeks,usually Chaineas love their country but I don't understand why they want western countries citizenship.

I watched the whole thing and I still don't understand why some Chinese want to be Canadian citizens if they don't want to live here? Like what's the point? Do they want to influence political systems with votes? Do they want a convenient vacation place? Is it for tax reasons? Do they want an escape route in case China goes south politically? Why do refugees have access to social benefits at all? Do like Gulf countries, you can get work permit and work, but never citizenship, AND NEVER ACCESS TO SOCIAL BENEFITS, which are reserved to citizens only. They don't have income and don't pay taxes. theres a difference between illegal immigrants and immigrants. Just because America doesnt want illegal immigrants doesnt mean theyre against immigrants. you can come to this country and any other country and try to apply for citizenship but to sneak in and all of that is not the way to go. why not just make your stay here legal? stop hiding, pay taxes, gain rights, live in a house and get a job. if youve been hiding in a church for 15 years. youre not doing your family any favors. just do what it takes to become legal. i know its harder said then done these days but its gotta be better then hiding in a church basement for 15 years. plus you need rights, you need to be able to call the police when theres an emergency with out fear of deportation. come on! one time i hit an illegal with my car. destroyed the back end. i felt so bad! i have great insurance and wanted to take care of their car, and make sure they got checked out at a hospital but they refused cause they didnt want to get in trouble. their car never got fixed.... even though I wanted to fix it! i mean come on people supporting illegal imagrants are puting them in danger. they need to be given a path to legal citizenship and stopped from entering with out doing so.

Feel so bad. I got lucky enough that i got my citizenship. Otherwise i prob would be on Guatemala right now. I thank the U.S. unfortunately not everyone is so lucky.

What an idiot, couldn't apply for legal citizenship for the 15 years he lived in the USA? Couldn't learn to speak English at all? Couldn't go to a college or university and become a skilled laborer?

I feel bad for his innocent children to have to go through this. You want to live in another country, you need to follow the law like every else. You learn the language, get the same I.D. We all have to have , and be treated the same as if any American were to illegally cross boarders! What we have to go through just to have identification here should be no different for anyone else!
