This started well before 2016. I lived in Brampton 2013 to 2015 and there were so many job agencies and Immigration companies that catererd to only Indians and they will turn you away if you are not Indian. I was surprised that the law did not intervene. It was a shit show then with so many racist Indians and Pakistanis, crime-ridden and just horrible so I can't imagine what it's like now. SO many mosques and barely any churches. Let's not even get into the shitty drivers that live there....smh

Brampton was nice place to live back in the day. Now it is a shithole, infested with crime, violence and everything else. Toronto has been well upon its way there for more than a decade . The guy sounds like Chinese or Korean, he was intentionally harassing the delivery guy and recorded video to humiliate him. The delivery guy should call police and complain for abusive behaviour. As an indian in dont really dislike Brampton. Its just the leftist policies that ruined it. A lot of immigration isnt really legal either. The govt aint enforcing immigration law so its more or less allowed. Kinda like how usa has an open border policy with mexico. Legal immigration is next to impossible while illegal immigration is prioritized. There are far too many people getting visitor visas and never leaving thats a slap in the face of the poor working class. Or even legal immigrants that took the time money and had the qualifications to come here and did it legally.

The delivery guy made the mistake of not recording the customer as well! This type of behavior by anyone is unprofessional and should be reported to the place of the customer's employment. The customer also talks in an accent and not because hes mocking the indian accent but it seems he has a jamaican ,Haitian , or African accent. He calls the indian guy brown and thats clearly an indication of racism. Putting the food on the ground and mocking him to pick it up is an indication of superiority and he is trying to degrade the delivery person. this in itself is a form of harassment i can venture a guess as to what color the customer is! I see alot of negative comments against indians and a lack of support for indians and thats only because most other races simply dislike indians. If the delivery person was a black man or hispanic i bet there would be riots all over the place. The name of the game is..if you are too kind you will get stepped all over. IF you want to survive you need to be rowdy and wild like certain groups of people who are always on the daily news for more common reasons!

Adopt our culture or we will get you OUT, amicably and respectfully! And no we will not create haven like Surrey, Richmond, Brampton or Vancouver...we are noticing the imnpact and scrapping the political correctness implemented by illiberal movements!

Hey I’m Canadian and I feel bad new comers coming here looking to realize a better life when the reality of that matter the things they can access and freedoms they can have will be limited. There’s a serious medical access and to find a family doctor or wait 12 hours at the hospital. Also when people are professionals like engineers or doctors they have to start from scratch that’s amazing how many doctors or other high level professionals I met as a waiter, taxi driver, working min wage in a store…Oh boy the insane proportions of the housing is ridiculous to say the least. There’s people with 9-5 making 50k at the food banks, now low income people make less wayyy less. So I think they are even turning away international students. It’s quite unfortunate and not realistic. I live in Montreal. You know to know french here Quebec french. Well the increase in crime is because people are getting desperate and are in poverty and desperate. What n unfortunate situation.

If we moved to any country you would live by their rules. They move to Canada they do and wear what they want. We have our RCMP that look like India police with turbans. They get to carry their religious knives, they don't have to wear helmets while riding a motorcycle. Then you get women wearing the full garbage bags. The beach is funny to go to and look at their bathing suits. We are a minority in our own Country, just go to any major city in Canada, it's pretty sad to see our Trudeau Canada. I would like to provide a background to all the native Canadians who are wondering why the East Indian population is growing in Canada they are lot of education consultants back in India who market Canada as a lucrative country to immigrate brownie points for studying to get PR free healthcare free education till grade 12 so everyone is trying their best to come to Canada on a student visa.Once students come on a student visa they need to work 20 hours a week which they are legally allowed to work on international student visa so locals feel they are taking their jobs In US international students are only allowed to work on campus despite so many job opportunities.Colleges in Canada charge 4-5 times tuition which is profitable to the education industry and provincial government.Once these students Graduate they get open work permit where they can gain Canadian work experience and apply for PR and citizenship eventually.All this benefits the government and the educational institutions overall in terms of taxes and revenue..

So sad. Indians, please don't go to Canada for studies and get embarrassed like this. You all are very hard working and nice people, and India is doing well. I know you all want to earn dollars but don't do it by giving up your dignity like this.

Indians are smart, they live in multi generational homes, kids stay home until 25-30 save to buy properties, keep grandparents with them to save on day care, work hard and have the drive. I live in Nova Scotia, I stopped at a Tim Hortons, on a First Nations reservation, in the middle of nowhere and all East Indian workers. I was like where are you all living? How did you get here ? WTF

In January I flew into Toronto for my connecting flight to London but missed it. I was put up in a hotel in Brampton. First time there in 25 years. I didn’t feel like I was in Canada. I felt like a foreigner in my own country. during my 15 hours there I saw only one other non-Indian in the hotel. The restaurants, limousines to and from the airport, the drugstore and on the street - only Indians. Not one of them I spoke to had English mother tongue. One of the limo drivers came to Canada for education and told me once he got here he couldn’t get the program he signed up for and he was now in another program and as soon as he finishes this year he is leaving. He lived in Brampton and he told me he doesn’t feel safe there or in Toronto due to the crime. Interestingly he said a lot of the crime in the Indian community never gets reported to the police.

Listen as a minority person who is proud of my heritage but grew up here with immigrant parents who were given refuge in Canada, I can understand immigration. But...its getting out of hand, most of them are from India, most of them have homes in India and often return there for long vacations, These are not refugees or a diverse spread of peoples coming here. I am not hateful in any way but sometimes you have to tell it like it is, A lot of these people are not adapting to the culture here, why? Because most of them are grown already and are used to their own customs, with an ever increasing population now living here they don't really feel the need to learn or adapt because there are less regular Canadians. When I was in school it was already pretty multi-cultural and diverse although yes in my area there are less asians and black people, we had a lot of European(Serbian/Romanian) in particular. Now I go to the store and it's like 80% brown/Indian people lol, even my neighbors, most have moved out and more indian families are moving in. My city is expanding into like a mini Toronto when we can't even handle it, people cant even find jobs, people need all this other stuff, Its just too many all at once, crime rates have gone up over the last few years, this doesn't help anyone, immigrants either.

Obviously peoples feel like minority in 1975 it was more fun people's watching because the city has multi cultural and there was more white now there so many Asian & Indian people's no white Vanilla it get really boring and white people's are more friendlier and not cheap you always invite out for a beers LOL ??????!!

You are doing a difficult topic. Everybody has their own individual experience in this large diverse country. Hope you manage to get well established here and can succeed. It's easy to get swayed by a lot negative narratives out there; but Canada has great potential if more intelligent, young, and energetic immigrants like you, work to improve their lives here! I'm Australian and a few months back had a debate with a Canadian on reddit who visited Australia and remarked how shocked he was at how ethnically segregated Australia is and was preaching about how in Canada everyone mixes and that Australia should learn from Canada how to integrate immigrants. Well as someone who did a working holiday in Canada he was spouting bs, you have cities like Surrey, Richmond, Burnaby, Brampton and Markham that have become mini India and Chinas in Canada. Australia might have neighbourhoods that are segregated but we sure as hell don't have cities with 300k+ people that cater to one ethnicity. I love Canadians don't get me wrong but a lot of you really need to stop with this holier than thou attitude thinking your poo don't stink.

question is why haven't those that were born here not been able to be successful even going through the streamlined education system to develop outside the dream of creating a business / corp. - leaving would be a goal if 50k was my only focus; what i'm saying is never making six figures should've got me fleeing this common wealth land long time ago. My parents have lived in brampton for 40 years.. White middle class with 2 sons.. I'm 1 son.. I moved out of brampton 25 years ago but had to move back to look after my elderly parents.. I agree about integration. And it’s not just about Indians. For example, here in Calgary almost all barbershops are run by East Africans. Whenever I try to explain something in plain English, they have a hard time understanding me. Or when they try to start a small talk but when I answer their question, they have no idea what I said. It gets super frustrating when people just can’t understand you due to their poor language skills. Am I the only immigrant who learned the language at a high enough level to function in the society BEFORE I came to the country? It’s not like there’s a war in India so they have no time to learn English before coming here.

Even tho most Canadians in the earlier years were mostly white, it was multicultural because they all came from many other countries and cultures. They still held on to their traditions but yet also formed a Canadian culture.\nTheir was a huge population of Chinese people too. They stuck together in large areas, many didn't speak english. Similar to Quebec maybe. They mostly spoke french and I remember a time when they didn't really like english speaking whites around. Seems like the premier would like it to stay that way. Protecting the culture. \nIn the 80's on the west coast I watched thousands of Sikh's and Punjabi's and similar move into large areas and take over many jobs in large companies. Lumber mills, rail yards, papermills and so on. I went to one job interview and outside the office window was a whole shift of people wearing turbans. Must have been 50 to a 100 of them. 3 years earlier when I toured that place in grade 12, it was all white people. What happened? That was around the time of the recession and jobs were getting scarce. The only people in line for job interviews were white people and the interviewers would not accept anyone without grade 12 and previous experience. Here is what I overheard as people were getting interviewed, Experience? No. NEXT. Experience? Yes. Graduate? No. NEXT!\nAfter 6 months of this I moved to oil country Alberta and Had 6 job call backs in the first day. At 2 to 3 times the pay I would have had in BC. Never looked back. But now that the industry has been attacked and the immigration has skyrocketed, Alberta is in decline.\nJust my 2 cents worth, and the people I mentioned back then, I have nothing against. I knew many and they were good people. \nBut the immigrants of today I feel to many are of another breed and not the same as before them.

Harrison, you should have driven around some of the neighbourhoods. Since Trudope opened the gates - all the beautiful middle-class neighbourhoods have filled in with international students. Indians have bought up all the houses across the country and then rent them out to students. Rentals with 5-8 cars and garbage overflowing. Of course, a lot of students are nice people but the big problem is young guys who are just trying to get a PR card - they drop out of school or get jobs trucking etc - they have 10 of their friends in one rental and they all drive jeeps, jettas and chargers. The amount of racing around and noises mufflers can drive you crazy. And I’m indian - but because I’m female and not Punjabi - they don’t even want to look at my face when I talk to some of them.
