As a Canadian who hasn’t completed any college or university the job market is destroyed, I can’t find any work over minimum wage and if I do I get let go for people who will take minimum wage, my old job I was making 27$ a hour they let me go and all the new people make minimum wage it’s absolutely crazy

Immigrating for Studies is different from Immigrating for Work and Residency. These people think they are all the same. There are different levels of intake based on how much limited resources Canada has. If you come for studies, that should be your intention. You get your education, and then go back to their country of origin. If you want to come for work or residency, apply as such and get in line behind others who use the system fairly.

Honestly it’s not that I’m completely opposed to immigration in the proper amounts but currently the were kinda eating a** in the housing department, so it feels as though we’re giving space for something that doesn’t completely exist yet, which is also drowning out legitimate citizens from being able to have affordable housing, therefore causing some sort of aggression towards people trying to get away from they own crap, but everyone needs housing and likes it affordable so it’s understandable. Maybe we could handle this sort of intake in like 30-50 years easily, but we’re filling a bucket that has so much going into it, I’m not knowledgeable on Canadian happenings to know all the intricacies. Though a layman could tell Justin Trudeau is a large contributor to this line of politically charged thinking that doesn’t really think about long term consequences.

It's time for Canada to deport these people they are the reason that the country is in a housing crisis, a major strain on our already strained health care, the reason Canadian students struggle to find employment, not to mention how difficult it has made it for some canadian university students to have access to the relevant classes because they fill up with foreign students. This ends up cost the Canadian students more money and time to complete their degree, it's not fair and as a parent of a Canadian university student I am beyond frustrated with the state ofbthis country because of the overwhelming amount of immigrants here, and to say that they are adding value to this country by filling jobs and growing the economy by putting the money they earn back into our economy is naive and false because the jobs they fill now require 8 employees to the same job 4 employees were able to handle before these immigrants came along and as for the money they earn, while that gets sent directly back to the country they originated from. Also not to mention the crime rate increase as well as the increase of scams. They are offended by the truth but to bad, the truth hurts and life long ( not 5 or 6 months) tax paying Canadian's are the ones hurting the most. I see the throng of well dressed young men (mostly) appearing to be of mid east des pcent going to the food bank down the street from my house every week. They do not need to live in the community, nor provide any real names or address to get an ID card at this specific bank. Getting Halal food etc while many Toronto citizens go hungry. Shameful.

I'm sick of this. Nobody wants to get a job which has elite future prospects. Earlier, people used to move only when they proved something on paper, with full credibility. Glad I came across this vid. I'm a PhD candidate and I've decided to go back home when I finish. I'm really appalled at the state of healthcare here. I had to literally beg a doctor for a blood test, something that is so simple to get at home. I have never been so depressed and off balance and I think a lot of it has to do with the weather. I really thought I would like it here, but it's not worth being away from my family for a place like Canada.

I came from France back in 2015 whith my familly when Harper was still prime minister at the time , really I'd say things have been really great , my family and I have worked hard to get to where we are today and have always wanted to give back to our community here but I am disgusted to see in 2024 what Trudeau has done to the country and to see that immigration is no longer as prestigious as it used to be. Unlike some people we have today, I had to wait 3 years with my family before receiving approval to move to Canada (after so many exams, appointments and waiting times). I did my middle school here until college and I'm currently still looking for work in correctional and when I see that people arrive here afterwards without being permanent residents, who are literally flooding spots at colleges/university and also jobs that are normally open for young canadians in their 15-16 (When I was in high school, my first job was at a McDonald's, and without exception, everyone there was Canadian. Today, when I go back to the same McDonald's for a cheeseburger every now and then, the entire staff is nothing but Indians) .As a person with an immigrant background, I'm the first one to say that there's a very big problem in Canada, and that current immigration, mainly from India, is no longer for economic reasons but to reunite families.(They do not, and will never, assimilate into Canadian culture.)Now that I've grown up in Canada for almost half my life, I'm already thinking about either returning to France or start over somewhere else if nothing changes.\n\nThe Trudeau government, uncontrolled immigration, dangerous idelogies from extreme far left idea, rising unemployment, and economic misery getting worse every day , gradually pushes me away from the country I love, Oh Canada.

When I was an international student it was a PRIVILEGE to go and study. You came with enough money for each year - otherwise, no visa. Stop giving visas to students that have no money and need to work to survive. It’s not a right to come study and Canadian students that need these jobs while studying can’t get them.

I was an immigrant and i say f immigration. We have problems here we dont need more immigrants to make things worst. I got 3 tenants who are immigrants being paid 1300 each per month for room and 600-800 for spending and they get their meals at the food bank. Guess where their money is going to?

As I understand it, it all goes back to the province of Quebec. to get Quebec to join Canada, education was made a provincial thing, not a national thing. This means that there is no national education policy in Canada, unlike a lot of comparable nations. This means it is very difficult to plan, and educate the work force to fulfill anticipated needs. The solution? Put it on the list! Immigration Canada has a list of jobs that Canada needs to fill. If you would like to immigrate to Canada, and you have work history or education for something on the list, you're in! This is much easier that investing in Canadians and planning 5-10 years ahead. If we need more nurses...put it on the list! If we need more engineers...put it on the list! If we have too many already...take it off the list. A lot of immigrants are disappointed when they get here, because from the outside, Canada seems great. Yes, it is a very safe country, and has a lot going for it. But people may be surprised to find that they have been allowed into the country, to fill jobs no one else wants. And it's a lot of work to move here from another country, so immigrants tend to get stuck in a bad situation.
