The tariffs will hurt Canada much more than America. Any rational thinking person knows this. Our Canadian stores will be empty and what is in them will double in price. You may not like to hear this, but you know that this is true.

It's too bad that Trudeau's Government did so little about fentanyl, also about our poorly-controlled border and destructive immigration non-policies for so long. That said, it blows me away that Trump was so vociferous about the Lawfare that was lined up against him in 2023-24, but he doesn't see that excess use of the power of the State is wrong and immoral in this Canadian and Mexican case. Ultimately, he'll invent some dishonest pretense to put the genie in the bottle, while the economic damage to all sides will be severe. But ... Why would he care?

As Canadian, I agree to retaliate the tariffs. Why, because The American leader cannot be trusted and even if we do what they expect they want more and more, same as PUTIN.

Its extremly puzzling why Trump is intent on causing chaos. What is the end goal, that is what people should be asking. trump is costing farmer their markets. The US had to shell out some 32 billion as a result of his screw ups in his first term with his trade war with China. Why is everyone tiptoeing around the real reason for these tariffs? Trump has made no secret of his true motivations. He wants to absorb Canada into the USA so he can exploit it's abundant natural resourses, redirect fresh water across the border and give their military free reign of the arctic regions of the country.
