I was born in Canada Ontario and I can’t find a job here in midland Ontario because immigrants are apparently getting jobs with guaranteed hours and now I as a citizen of Canada can’t get a job .

As an Indian immigrant myself who came here many years ago, I completely agree. Canada was very different back then. Businesses want cheap labor and politicians want future voters, hence the immigration scam. All the more reason to push for automation and eliminate low skilled jobs. Otherwise keep importing large numbers from the 3rd world and turn Canada into a 3rd world country.

Trudeau is done forget my vote , bringing immigrants into Canada without regard of the high cost of living is careless and taken space from Canadian citizens for housing, job etc is madness

JT has knowledge of preschool. He and his government do not understand economy. They push existing Canadian to hell. Canadian needs to get their live via jobs and living. Mentioned jobs do not have shortage of resource. International student and mass immigration got those jobs since they accept any low pay jobs. As mentioned by speaker :young / elderly Canadian are out of jobs because of them. Canadian have to turn to welfare and add spending to Canadian government. Young Canadian also lost their chance to good future. \n\nImmigration also have false certification to get jobs. Once they got those jobs. they continue to make up stories and get up corporate ladder. They only hire their own culture. They force Canadian out of jobs and they producing unqualified product. Corporation uses stories to hide all of these and they blame that failure is caused by spending,.... Canada is coming apart. People did not notice Canadian companies and culture are being DESTROY by immigration. It is a MUCH BETTER PROBLEM.

We need to bring in the right trained people that can fill the jobs we need filled and it should be balanced immigration coming from Europe and the rest of the world ...?, BUT - we need to have adequate investment in housing and infrastructure to support these higher immigration levels to maintain the high standard of living we currently enjoy ...

all the businesses in strathroy ontario have been hiring foreing students, who can somehow afford to commute here from london. for a minimum wage walmart job.

6:52 I can tell you that most of the inmmigrants that come to Canada have alredy a Bachelors or even a Master Degree in there Country, the problem is that Canada doesn't want to valid those degrees, making imposible to them to get a higher level job, making them to earn a additional degree here

I as a natural born Canadian I want 0 immigration as they refuse to blend and are discriminators refusing to associate with Canadians unless they want their citizenship. They abuse of our system to which they have not contributed. They want special rules. They are the cause of unreal real estate prices and steal our jobs which afre subsidized by our money. Most international students who come to Canada are more educated than most average Canadians. So don’t say they’re low skilled immigrants. Canada just doesn’t have enough technical jobs for them. They’re forced to work for such minimum wage jobs.

In the last 5 years every low skill job in my area is now Indian. My kids won’t be able to get a high school job.

This is all intentional. USA being demolished too. National Guard into New York...NY collapsing under inability to control.......crime up 62% all running around with credit cards for $1,000 a month and they do not want jobs....just free everything....including laundry service!!! You should see Silicon Valley. There are no labor gaps. This is international socialism. We know who is behind it - NASSCOM's PR companies. India has more people unemployed than all of N. America has jobs.

Why are they allowed to take jobs from Canadian citizens?

This interview completely misses the point by interviewing the “wrong” immigrant. Immigrants to Canada leave for the U.S. because Canada prefers “high value” immigrants (e.g., physicians, engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs with excellent track records, occupations that are expensive to train and/or individually contribute a lot to the GDP) that the U.S. would also like to attract. Not only can many of these people make more money in the U.S., but they often encounter more help and/or less restrictions with professional licenses (e.g., most states have an industrial exemption for engineers, and do a better job at helping foreign doctors and nurses get their licenses to practice medicine). How many times have we heard of a foreign professional reduced to driving a taxi or becoming a housewife when they move to Canada because an immigration official didn’t properly inform the immigrant of the hoops they would have to jump through, and the provincial professional association offered minimal, if any, assistance? \n\nThis PhD student (and others with more academic than lucrative educations) may think he’ll have it made moving to the US but I think he overestimates his value. The small liberal arts colleges that may have hired someone with his background are decreasing in number or changing to a more technical focus (usually to computer science because it doesn’t require expensive labs needed in medicine or engineering). American students are now more critically examining what degrees, if any at all, will lead to better paying careers, and I doubt Myanmar is on their radar as a money-making opportunity.

Before Canadian create a standard for foreign people want to migrate to Canada in terms of point system which involves education and other criteria in order to process application but now people are bypassing the system to easily come to Canada it took me 3 years before my application got processed why now just on student status can start apply for a job isn’t it the main purpose was to get education not job for Canadians. Who really fuck up on allowing this people come to Canada and mostly from India????

It's a double edged sword. The industry (fast food, food retailing, services) WANT those people, be it international students, refugees or other to work because there is insufficient response from the local population of young people. Even certain restaurants and hotels had to remain CLOSED after the pandemic, because they could not find enough people to work. The government covid money dissuaded the local population from working. It is a huge mistake to admit so many Indian students attending low-credentialed private colleges and then allow them to work 20-30 hours a week. Trudeau and Miller are to blame for this. But at the same time, there was a labour shortage due to the ageging population and the fact that people have fewer kids today. Canada should give greater priority to trained professionals in areas where there is a need, such as construction, education and nursing. People in India, China, eastern Europe and other countries can get very good training in technical colleges, but it is the wealthy families in these countries that don't want their kids working these jobs.

So problem I think is not in emigrants itself but in government who does nothing. Government doesnt want to solve home crysis which have been here since 2010 not 2024, same government does nothing with job market and the same government doesnt supply emigration program with enough jobs .

Reality : Average Median age is around 41 and birth rate declining \n\nThat’s why immigration needed \n\nJapan has age problem since their median age is around 49.\n\nAnd if labour job wages increase then prices ll also go up obviously.

They have a program called the northern ontario immigration project where they have swamped small towns and cities with immigration that have left alot of places with out excess home or jobs for that matter . Companies are taking advantage of the cheap labor and in turn leaving citizens with out employment due to the unlimited flow .

These jobs should be for Citizens of Canada no matter what your age or STATUS is. Citizens who are rejected for employment by PR, student visa, etc needs to change immediately!

Excuse me but how can you get ahead on a minimum paying job you can’t afford a place to live you must work a least two jobs to keep a roof over your head !

Half the jobs in my field are being replaced by immigrants who HATE Canadian values. I literally got yelled at for expressing sympathy for the Jews after the October 7th genocide. These are the people we are replacing Canadians with. We defeated the Nazi's and now we are importing them.

So brutal. I have a 15 year old looking for her first job and all her friends ate too. Guess what.....all those jobs we used to get as we entered the workforce are gone. Every single DQ A&W grocery store McDs etc jobs go to foreigners. So where will all the high school kids work? They are becoming despondent and depressed. It's really sad. For the kids born here and the kids that got told bs there would be plenty of jobs. It's just wrong!!!? I'm highly concerned for the kids. Canada is sliding into a toilet. It also appears that you are at the back of the list if you are born here and God forbid too white. So what is the deal with all these Walmart's etc hiring only foreign people ? It's not to give the kids of Canada a start and a chance. It must have some reason that is going to destroy the country because when a local high school student has to compete with ,300 foreigners for a low paid job this is not going anywhere good. It is extremely distressing. Just resign and incorporate Canada into India or somewhere because it's not Canada anymore.

Indian are at every tim Hortons,mc shts,subway,gas stations walmarts, every low income job they have taken over my younger canadian sibling's cant get a job because of these so called high skill immigrants,i knew we are lost when the nation athem was sang in punjab like i was never racist before but the final straw has been broken i officially do not like international students,stay in ir home country ill make sure you wont like it here in canada.

I was told twice ( unofficially by employees) while applying for work that I should not put my hopes too high cause even tho I was qualified I was not part of a minority or had a disability ! It took me a long list of application and lots of time to finally get a minimum wage job !! It’s disheartening and discouraging and maddening !! P.S. I did attend college so I do have an education like a majority of Canadians and it’s still not enough !

They talk about labor shortages but every job nowadays has artificial and fake qualifications expectation even for low paying jobs. These made up, artificial qualifications are detrimental to fulfilling positions.

The only jobs that need to filled is in longterm care and engineering and that's about other then farming picking vegetables.\nSO actually not an abundant amount of jobs !

Heres the thing: where are all the Canadians protesting about the lack of jobs? Ill see them complaining about wanting more money and inflation, but i dont see any old stock Canadians en masse complaining yet obviously theres all these Indian nationals filling jobs that didnt go to a Canadian. So where are these Canadians working?

We have a million people on welfare. We do not need workers. We need to heelp them learn to do the jobs so as they can care for themselves

Let's learn from the US...skills and talent...sure... But every single person i talk to at every single store and fast food chain isnt skilled labor and im not one to say this but especially the Ukrainian immigrants very literally don't speak any English which should be required in order to hold a job here. I feel for them and i understand it takes time to learn a language... But i cant ask anyone where something is in a store for example

They know what they're doing. None of these people from the middle east (the only ones invited here) will do ANY type of labor. Theyll take all our kids jobs.....so instead of Canadian students working here.....we have uneducated, fake degree frauds serving garbage food to us, and leaving nothing for our kids. Send them back!!! But they wont, there is an alterior motive which makes the government Billions bringing more here. Trudeau should move to India, maybe he'll get a degree in common sense..($1800).
