No, that was not the conditions. Tax payers should not be paying them, they should not be going to food banks. That is set up for the taxpayers whose taxes pay for them. If there so much work, they'd be working, not taking jobs from Canadians. Go back to your own country, practice there what you learnt here. Teach others in yogurt ur country what you learnt here. Okay the lady is saying government should give them the opportunity. These guys already here too many and they don't respect laws which you can see when you go to Brampton. And they want more and more of their people here so they can feel like their back home. But there is problem which is people from other cultures don't like more Punjabis here. There are no jobs here because Canada is not like US industrialized and tons of companies. So what will happen when tons of you won't get job then you will go and put a camp to live and the expenses would come on tax payers if you become PR because you will claim social assistance and then hospital have to treat you. Means the resources would be limited. So let that pizza for four people. India is very good country good weather everything just build your country and have less kids so they don't have to worry in future for jobs.

You get a visa for a fixed amount of time and for a specific reason, that time is over then be civilized and go back.

I graduated in 2009 in Ottawa in Mechanical Engineering, 70% of my graduating year now live abroad including myself. i grew up in Brampton 20 years ago, a child of Caribbean parents. Whenever I go back I can say Yes, Brampton has changed over the years. I also remember that white/Canadian people were always the population struggling with substance abuse- particularly in the downtown area. Conflating the influx of indians with the downturn of white canadians seems to just fuel animosity and scape goat the issue onto a population of people that's probably just trying to seek a better life. why not ask the government to provide better social programs for those in need rather than fueling hate ? Why not investigate the structural issues that have contributed to this situation i.e. politicians gaining votes by doing xyz, or look into what people may be facing in the homelands? That would be a better piece of journalism imo. I think this video is highlighting this issue in ways history has seen before... can't we do better?

40 year old student ? .i sponsor my niece from Vietnam .the school here accepted her .the Canadian government in Vietnam first they said she doesn't have enough money to go to school. My company and i said we will paid verything for her .then she apply again .this time they said when she finished school she not going back to Vietnam .what the hell ? I see alot of peoples at the bus station i alot everywhere you go city and city. Iam i right ?

As a Turkish living in Alberta temporarily it’s not my business talking about economy, housing crisis or drug addiction since I am only here for a year. But I must say someting about the hospitaly and friendship. As an introvert I can’t believe that I have so many good friends here. Canadians are really talkative, generous and friendly. And I am glad I am going back home with so many good memories that made me feel like home.

Luckily was able to purchase a home 6 years ago in a smaller town on the outskirts of the city. Now my commute is 2 hours a day and my gas bill has tripled and all my expenses. \nThen I drive into work as an educator and can barely make it through the day bc the school system doesn’t support the amount of students. Classroom sizes doubling, no supports, classrooms taking place in hallways. Had to go on stress leave awhile back, but could barely get medical attention. Had to literally beg a doctor to take me on.. only reason I felt I got medical attention was bc he was my mom’s doctor. Yup this is life now and not fair to anyone. Problem is I feel I don’t have anywhere to “go back to” \n.. I’d leave Canada too now if I could, def. Not what it used to be.

If it's any good, time will tell. I and my wife (also immigrants) will\nLeave eventually to spend our retirement in some warmth.

I'm a canadian and my Scottish hubs came here 7 years ago and hes like canada has gone so far downhill. We are saving so we can go to scotland and give it a go. Not looking at it as a save all. But the stress and unhappiness with this city and country is not worth my mental and physical health. I have a chronic Illness and live in constant threat I wont be able to afford shit in canada. Its bs. My health insurance picks and chooses what and when to cover. No rhyme or rhythm to it. We had two friends from scotland give canada a try a d said hell no ...unfriendly, too densely populated, shit pay, unaffordable rent and travel. I was nearly driven into a crevasse in the Roger's pass by a Sikh trucker. It was in March after a heavy wet snowfall. It was at night and the fastest I could go was 70 km/h. I could not let him pass because the passing lanes were not plowed, The driver kept ramming into my back bumper. It was snowing. It was the middle of the night. It was a whiteout snowstorm. This went on for hours. It was terrifying.

After they spend such a huge amount of money and time to go through the process, you are telling them to go back. It’s not fair. Insanity that this man is allowed to stay in Canada after the havoc he reaked. It is not a matter of 'forgiveness' - it is to be held accountable for 'actions' taken -- he needs to go and should have been back in India shortly following the accident.
