Well, you are lucky you can go to the US to drown out all of your problems, in Iraq the healthcare is bad, the education system is bad (especially in public school where kids get hit.) and the people are not nice. The only people who are kind are in Iraqi Kurdistan! Oh, yea I have depression and I am only 11 (my parents think it is not serious.) I used to live in the US, but the Iraq government paid for my dads college, so we had to go back. I am also suicidal, I might commit suicide soon. I am also Muslim. I hope you people live a good life.

Um... (1) Living in Alberta, I pay overall less tax than someone in my tax bracket living in California. We don't all have high taxes. (2) Montréal is allo-lingual, and probably 80% able to speak English in its core. Quebec City is primarily French. (4) We have publically funded, not free, healthcare, and regulated pharmacare, private eye and dental care (5) you typically tip anyone who provides you a personal service - you should include valets, housekeeping, consierge services, porters and anyone who provides exceptional service. Get out of Vancouver, Canada is big.

'Eh...'
\nI'd guesstimate 50% for taxes here in the US as well as Canada - and probably ('almost') anywhere else.
\nOnly Quebec is known to be the French speaking area.
\nIt's kinda obvious healthcare doesn't include mediations.
\nIt's disrespectful to expect tips.
\nOH, so you admit to Canadian 'cops' as being corrupt. Nothing new.

Since taxes seem to be biggest interest. This is latest stat for average household: 40% to taxes and 32% to living (home, food, transportation) with taxes expect to go up even more under current government. And FYI, weather in Vancouver is mild but has one of the highest standards of living and homelessness in Canada. And we don’t have “free” healthcare it’s socialized. So going to clinic for basic check up is ok but anything more there are long wait times with many choosing to go out of country to get treatments. It’s important to be mindful of the propaganda about Canada or any country really. I love my country but it’s not a wonderland.

This is almost exactly like Sweden, but with a few key differences.\n- Healthcare (including dental care) is free for everyone below the age of 18, after that it's really cheap compared to the U.S.\n- You're not expected to tip anyone, at any occasion.\n- Taxes are way higher, (30% mentioned in the video is roughly the amount the lowest income takers pay, rather than the highest, I know someone who pays a little above 60% in tax each month)\n- Although you come a long way with just English, the language is necessary for living long term.\n\nAnyhow, very informative video! I'm possibly looking to move from Sweden to Canada for university (despite that being free here), so thank you!

Good video.\nFor people in the comments: immigrating to Canada requires you to have prior post-secondary education. It’s simply a must. But once you are here and apply for jobs, your education will not be recognized by employers (unless you come from the Commonwealth countries.) This includes highly sough-after jobs such as Doctors, Nursing, healthcare, engineering, or finance. So definitely expect to go back to school once you are a landed immigrant.

In the United States the healthcare costs are a third higher relative to the GDP than in other OECD countries.

Canada has free healthcare, but it comes at an immense cost. Ive come out of hospitals in British Columbia and Alberta with worse conditions than I came in with. Wait times are long enough to kill people in the lobby. \n\nIve also been denied medical assesment in multiple Canadian medical facilities. There is also LOTS of private healthcare facilities in Canada, many exist because of how poor our healthcare system is

Free Healthcare cracked me up!
|
| 2020-10-13 | 0 |
Actually, Tim Hortons was bought by an American company, so you can see them in the United States as well, so you can't tell between the 2. HEALTHCARE IS NOT FREE. It is payed through taxes.

What about free healthcare
|
| 2020-07-14 | 0 |
Free healthcare means lesser stress. Lesser stashing of money for later years. Lesser insurance shit!
|

I don’t get the point to this video. Canada isn’t a free for all. You still need due process. He isn’t locked in a cage. He’s given freedom, healthcare and help while he’s waiting for a decision. The judge obviously made his decision based on facts. I’m a bleeding heart liberal like the best of them but come on ... if you didn’t prove your life is in danger then sorry.

Nah, Canada wants professionals on sectors that needs manpower like healthcare. They have a fairly low population in comparison to their country's size

Free healthcare really?

Healthcare isn't free. West southern coast doesn't always snow. University isn't cheaper either.

Cool video! I'm from the United States, and I've been to Canada back in May 2001. I was 11 at the time, but it was part of a 3-day trip with my elementary school. We were in Toronto. I miss my experience there so much. Although I'm not a fan of cold weather, I would love to be back in Canada because new healthcare here in the U.S is too hard for me to get. I typed this comment on May 31st 2020 when at the time violence and riots are occurring in the United States cause of police brutality......again! + COVID-19's still a major issue.

The greatest thing about America is debt and expensive healthcare. It gave us breaking bad.

Reguarding Canaduan healthcare. My elderly Canadian aunt was sick with cancer. She could not get treatment in Canada due to her age.\nShe came to the USA for treatment.

In the USA, only the military and Native Americans have free healthcare.
|
| 2020-04-28 | 0 |
If I was not from Canada I would agree with you on free healthcare, truth is healthcare is in free because you have to pay taxes, and not to mention Canada puts all their taxes towards that thing you still have to pay taxes to pay for it, No wonder the world thinks America stupid
|
| 2020-04-14 | 0 |
The only thing wrong is healthcare is paid in your taxes

Healthcare and guns
|
| 2020-04-12 | 0 |
It’s a myth that Canada has universal healthcare. I lived there for 4 years because of my dad’s job and his employer had to pay for hospital treatment. Canada doesn’t have universal healthcare. The hospitals aren’t government owned but the government pays for the treatment. This favor is only extended to citizens. A true universal healthcare system is the UK. EVERYONE who lives in the UK legally is entitled to free NHS healthcare.

|
| 2020-04-12 | 0 |
Yo drew healthcare is not free in canada . Am a dual citizen
|
| 2020-04-11 | 0 |
Our healthcare is not free in the true sense of the word.....the taxes collected from our income......income tax percentages vary by low, mid, and high incomes which covers many things including most basic healthcare costs.\nThings like doctors visits, most non-consmetic surgeries, most diagnostics, lab tests, birth, etc.\nPsychologists, dentists, physical therapists and others are not covered.\nPrescriptions are not covered and is dependent on the various benefits covered by employers.\nOur income tax, sales tax, property tax covers a multitude of things, such as infrastructure, basic schooling and government services.

One has high taxes and the other has cheaper healthcare basically
|
| 2020-04-11 | 0 |
Not to mention they have free healthcare because they pay more taxes. Atleast clarify since you're so unbiased
|
| 2020-04-10 | 0 |
No healthcare is absolutely free it is taxpayer-funded would be a better way of saying it
|
| 2020-04-10 | 0 |
Free Healthcare and cheaper education and yet more Canadians move to US then vice versa.
|

American healthcare is a joke
|

Healthcare in Canada is not free. It's socialized. I hate how people always make that mistake.
|
| 2020-04-09 | 0 |
You got me at free healthcare
|
| 2020-04-09 | 0 |
Minor correction: Healthcare in Canada isnt free, its paid by taxes, which explains why the tax rates are so high.
|
| 2020-04-09 | 0 |
It's not free healthcare, it's universal healthcare meaning everyone pays for it. I don't like it at all when people say it's free. Yes I'm Canadian
|
| 2020-04-09 | 0 |
Free healthcare it’s like gold for most Americans, I wish it’ll be public in the US too
|
| 2020-04-09 | 0 |
Free healthcare ?. Nothing is free.
|
| 2020-04-09 | 0 |
Wait? Did you say great healthcare? Canadians come down to south Florida to take care of their health because Canada has a long waiting lists for medical procedures. Please research this a bit more.\nThanks
|
| 2020-04-09 | 0 |
Yeah, we do get free healthcare BUT you need a health card. You have show up the card in the clinics/hospital.
|
| 2020-04-09 | 0 |
There is no such thing as “free” healthcare!! Hello taxes $$$$$$! \nIf the healthcare in Canada is free may I have a tax cut please ?
|
| 2020-04-09 | 3 |
There is no such thing as free healthcare. They pay for it in higher taxes. And I find it very interesting that you conveniently forgot that healthcare in the US is infinitely better.
