There is no career progress and it is so expensive for everyone, they want you to work low level jobs, because a weird rite of passage like if speaking English was unique to Canada or the world is not trading with each other for the last 20 to 30 years . Complete stagnation in terms of economy, inflated house prices compared to similar markets like Texas, the country has been so reliant on natural resources that the job market is not competitive and an island. If you want to do trades go ahead if you want to work in finance, tech or anything white collar do not go to Canada. If hard working Canadians don't have money to afford groceries and are using their credit card for everything believe me as an immigrant you'll have less than that you'll be an economic slave.

People come to Canada, then move to USA. For legal immigrants, it is easy to come to Canada then USA. There is no job in Canada.

These people are international students, they are not skilled workers. And the reason why there's a big line up? it's because they DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT SKILLS that fits on the job and they do not have experience so no one wants them. It is from too many new immigrants and international students and making everything more expensive and lack of work., these new immigrants are getting the jobs feist and these students r here to study but no they come here to work and get free food from food banks for the needed.

Massive unlimited immigration and more people are competing for jobs and affordable housing. Whenever you have an over abundance of anything you cheapen it. The same things are happening in most western countries. The chickens are coming home to roost and with more people competing for the slice of pie - it means that most people will have less and the quality of life diminishes

Many immigrant think that Canada will welcome them with a house and a good job. I have met many immigrants that they are back to their countries because they can not adapt or They do not want adapt to the Canadian way of life (which by the way it is not that difficult.) I am doing well because I get up everyday not waiting to get hand me downs or charity. I work hard. I also know many immigrants that have made Canada their new home and they are really happy. Definitely, Canada is not for everybody.

Funny how they want to blame immigration. Jobs are everywhere but employers know that immigrants are more disciplined, hard working and appreciative of the opportunities provided, when compared to the average Canadian-born citizen. I've seen it first hand. \n \nOh and, the influx of Indian immigration boosted Canada's GBP by $20 Billion, last I checked. America is a good example, Indians and Pakistanis are the most successful ethnic group, everyone else is behind. Not only that, but they have to work TWICE as hard to get HALF of what their white counterparts do. \n\nAlso, lets not forgot how unsympathetic white America was when black Americans were going through the crack epidemic. They didn't get a shred of the support that's being given out today, instead it was jail. \n\nWhite Privilege is very real and especially in countries like Canada and the United States. If white people fall through the cracks this hard en masse in a society that makes it easiest for them to succeed, then it's truly over. The decline will continue.

I wasn't born in Canada, but raised in small city of Fredericton since 10 and moved to Toronto for jobs and school in 2014. I don't even recognize my country anymore, it is such a big shame. At least, I had experienced a simple Canadian dream life back in New Brunswick.

Go to the local diploma mill schools and see how it's been invaded by one race. The goal for them is ONLY PR and to work full time and completely drain resources dry. The homeless problem has become way worse over the years. Canada has become way too expensive to live with the outrageous prices in rent, heat, hydro, food, property taxes it’s bloody outrageous. Ppl loose their jobs and find they can’t afford to pay their rents and mortgages along with all the other bills if they can’t find another job right away. And companies are to hire minority over white ppl. A white male in Ontario, forget about it. White ppl have become minority now in the work force. Absolutely the cost of living has caused the homeless problem to sky rocket. As far as the system it’s true that the system takes care of foreigners first over Canadians. I remember many years ago I tried to get student assistance to take courses and I was rejected because I lived with a parent, the person on the other end of the phone told me strait out if I was a foreigner I’d of gotten the assistance, and this was way before Trudeau was in the picture!!!

I live in newzealand and I get discrimination because I'm a white female with no kids I'm not entitled to emergency housing or shelter but if I was a Maori woman with heaps of kids straight away il get emergency housing and if I was a immagrant all government agencies would help me with housing and a job it's bullshit I'm only homeless because the government sold my rental and I was a good tenant now I don't give two fucks anymore Im in survival mode on the streets thanks fuckn luxon u piece of shit making me homeless I'm prepared to commit a crime to get free lodging in jail atleast il be able to have a hot meal a bed and a shower and help with education

Many ways we could go about fixing this crisis. Obviously heavily limiting immigration would help, banning all diploma mills that are just student visa scams. Forcing municipalities to get rid of their awful zoning and restrictive rules, could be streamlined by running a nationwide referendum to make zoning a federal jurisdiction and not provincial/municipal and then just adopt something similar to japanese zoning nationwide. Banning or heavily restricting Airbnbs is an other thing that would help. A lot of what the BC NDP with Eby is doing should be done nationwide for sure. Regarding all the homeless people, we could offer them a job to build infrastructure, houses in exchange for a bed and food, something akin to what was done in the New Deal. Could be a super efficient way to get something like high speed rail built quickly. It'd be a contract they'd sign for 5-10 years and at the end of the deal they get compensation for the work they did. Also not every homeless can live in society. When conservatives got rid of institutions like mental asylums, all the people with non fixable conditions got thrown in the streets. Those are people who just can't, regardless of how much we do to help them, live in society, but their people like us so a modernized, humane version of the mental asylums would help a ton not just for these people, but also their family members who'd know that their kid or sibling is somewhere safe.
