Canada should do this for me, Canada should do that for me, etc. May I ask you why? And then, Canada is wrong here, Canada is wrong there: says who?\nI emigrated to an English speaking Country about thirty years ago, and that for one and only very simple reason: my country did not offer me any opportunities even remotely comparable with those I was kindly offered in the Country I emigrated to. To me, this is more than enough to prove that the Country I emigrated to was far superior to the country I was born in.\nOf course, they were expecting the bargain to work for both parties (if it didn't, there would have been NO opportunities for me at all), and rents were frightfully high, but still manageable, AND THEY SAW TO IT THAT IT WAS SO, AS IT WAS CONVENIENT FOR BOTH PARTIES, which you will allow me to call good reasoning.\nAnd yes, I lived modestly, but who cared: I was able to further my education and grow professionally. They could have offered me, say, a teaching position in one of their third-degree Institutions: they did not, and I think rightly so. Not a bit of hard feelings about that, they had already done a lot for me, and taught me something in the process. First of all, TO STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THEIR WAYS, since factual evidence slapped to my face that their ways were far more effective than my country's ways.\nI went back to my country after a few years, were I was able to improve my situation thanks to the qualifications they helped me earn. They did not ask me to leave, but I felt I had to do that. I realized I lacked the qualities (energy, initiative, enthusiasm) that would enable me to contribute to and continue their effort in modelling their Society, the very Society that gave me so much. Better go back, lest I may contribute to spoil it, and do my best were I belong.\nThey never asked me to repay their kindness. So I don't think they did not do enough for me, quite the opposite. It was tough, but I shall be thankful as long as I live.

I would rather see my tax dollars support CANADIAN STUDENTS. Canadian students are the next generation of workers and scholars that will help build and support Canadians.

Palestinians are just pions for these people. And then saying that the west is the problem. They have to travel several thousand miles but their neighbours shut the undercome. Nice hypocritical tactics. Just help instead of making snow in the desert with oildollars

How can we help others when we cant even provide for our own? Born and raised canadians are ended up on the streets in record numbers and the cost of living is higher then its ever been. If this isnt a sign something is seriously wrong I dont know what is. Under these circumstances the only course of action is to reduce immigration until we can fix the the issues with housing and the cost of living. Doing anything else will only cause the problems to grow.

Hi, Thank you for the video, it is really helpful for me since I'm planning to move to NB in this upcoming March. If I may summarize, so for AIP - Worker stream in NB:
\n1. the eligibility criteria is to have at least 1 year full time working experience (1560 hours) in any Teer 0 - Teer 4 job for the last 5 years inside or outside NB.
\n2. then get a Full-time Job in any of the designated companies in NB
\n3. once we got the full time job, we will create the settlement plan to be submitted to the employer, then the employer submit the settlement plan to the provincial AIP dept. to issue the endorsement letter which then is used to apply for my PR
\n
\nSo does that mean, once we get a full-time job in any of the designated company in NB, then we can immediately start the process for the settlement plan and endorsement letter, without having the working experience in the New Brunswick? Is my understanding correct? Please kindly advise. Thanks

International students is what brings money to Canada and help it become competitive. Students are much better than illegal immigrants who just leech off the government.
|

Yes. We need to focus on our citizens before we can help anyone else

He was like: No. We dont give a f. If the palestinians are not just friends with iran maybe we will help.

International students are helping the economy overall. Housing should be addressed so the solution to regulate the entry of new students in the next three yeara must be considered while the government is fixing the housing concern.

Good answer but I am appalled at the lack of help that the Palestinians are getting, especially from the Arab countries. I stand with Palestine.
|

May God help those international students. I went to this prestigious university in Alberta for two degrees and learned absolutely nothing after 6 years.

Would you consider Palestine? The hat you are wearing says free Palestine but nobody is willing to go and protest or fight there. Protesting here is disruptive to people here and nothing is here is going to change what is happening there. Please help me understand this.

I have experienced this many time, mannerless kids keep kicking irrespective of how many times u request politely to not do it. But best is never to talk to minors as they are most likely travelling with an adult so always seek who they are travelling with and report to the staff onboard first. If they say they are not able to help put it on record with ur phone and report once u land, sometimes u can’t resolve this when u are onboard, as so called literate people never apologise.

Thanks for the helpful tips Madam Seyi. Is it mandatory to provide one's personal bank statment if one is using an international student loan to apply for study permit? Tnx
|
| 2024-01-20 | 0 |
Need to stop give work permit to international students it helps froud and schame of business people. Those who came in this country for study bearing all expenses during their study period. According to Canadian census those countries people are less here in Canada bring more students then less students from more people on the there hand bring more students from rich country then south Asian country.

It doesn’t help when Ford freezes tuition but allows more student visas. It’s a cash cow for these schools. These “students” end up working taking jobs from our own kids and keep wages suppressed. If universities have to close programs and administration take a big pay cut that could also offer some assistance and yeah put money back into education

True but what has his subservient, aberrant, and fanatical - as in ridiculous - nation done to help remove that weight? NOTHING. Just a week prior, they were signing accords with TOTAL disregard for the issue at hand. Now they state the obvious, act as if history started just wo months ago, and want a cookie for it.

Stop capping our resource sectors so much , start ramping up the procurement and processing of those resources . Our processes are way more eco friendly than the other main international providers . It would help drastically reduce emissions from non eco friendly sources while providing our economy with the huge boom it needs to upgrade our housing production and infrastructure. Look at the real stats on our worldwide emissions... Canadas emissions are a tiny blip of the worldwide emissions ... our government acts like we're this massive air pollutant scourge and we just aren't. We can go net zero pretty fast of we stop stepping all over our energy and resource sectors ... then immigration would be supportable ...

Why don't these schools making record profits use some of that money to build student housing. Then they can just make more money off the students and help the housing crisis.

I'm Canadian who took the same decision a few years ago, I've wasted 13 years of my life in Canada, I lost my money, skills, motivations that I brought with me. I left my grown up children there because I can't sell my values to get some Canadian dollars. We went to Canada to help and to have freedom, not to be discriminated and get hired in low-level jobs. I'm happy that I left and I enjoy the sunny weather most of the year in my home country even if I have little money. It was a wrong decision to be in Canada especially after I've seen high-school graduates got hired in positions that I've Bachelor's degree can't get it. I've been graduated from a Canadian college but still can't get those jobs. It's not acceptable to be a second-degree citizen just to get a blue passport.

I think Canada needs waaay more international students for real. Maybe something could be set up that they also build into housing as well some kind of newER 2024 program that is weaved into housing to help them get place to stay and also to build for them self and after school projects or like flow and around sharing renting and working making money whole studying. Canada is definitely smart enough to realize that they can set something up for international students to make things work on all levels.

I don't know how dear this lady is asking such question, imagine she asking Arab world to help to expile Palestinians from their land and give it to someone who is coming from Poland or America who their incester never lived in Palestine at any stage. What unfair world we live in.
|
| 2024-01-18 | 0 |
An eloquent way of dodging the question. We all now why their Arab neighbors refuse to take in refugees. All the Ukrainian neighbors opened their borders and their homes to help the fleeing women and children.

Canada has changed quite drastically from the crime lifestyle and the weather,if you want to stay long term perhaps with a spouse or significant other well it maybe helpful for all kinds of reasons from splitting the costs of living expenses to personal growth together.?!\nA car paid for if you’re inclined to do it your self will save you and your husband a lot of time and money.\nAll the best and look forward to seeing your videos in the future.\n?❤

I don't think the problems you're describing are a uniquely Toronto issue (many cities across the world are having an affordability crisis - Toronto's is bad, but not unique). I think it's also a lasting effect from COVID (especially on the mental health side). I do sympathize with Chow - seems like the city isn't getting much help from the feds who are allowing mass immigration without any infrastructure or services to support it (see 10.5% proposed property tax hike in order to keep the city afloat after Tory). All in all, think the city needs a bit of time to heal after the past few years but I'm optimistic it'll get there.

He says the Palesitians don't want to leave their land so they won't bother trying to take them in. This is BS. If Arab countries offered to take in residents of Gaza (not Palestine - actually no such place as Palestine), the Palestinians would pour into their country. However, no Arab countries offer to help them or take them in as refugees.
|
| 2024-01-17 | 0 |
Years ago I had a guy that I worked with that was Palestinian. He said he loved his home and missed it and his friends but he knows he is safer and better off here. He felt is was a fight his people cannot win. He also felt the other Arab countries were not helping them.
|
| 2024-01-17 | 0 |
The truth is they don't want the Gazans, because they have a history of causing trouble in other countries. \n\nThis guy also wants the people in Gaza to stay to be killed so they can use them in their propaganda war against Israel. Remember the core of this issue is Muslim hatred of Jews and this guy said it. He wants the pressure to be removed and that pressure is Israel. He wants what Hamas wants, all Jews gone from the Middle East. \n\nHe dodged the question because he doesn't care about the people in Gaza. No other war do people say we can't help refuges until the war ends.\n\nBTW, they are not Palestinians. There isn't any and has never been a state called Palestine. These people were Egyptians.

WELL SAID! I am tired of people insinuating that the Arab world is not helping. There is a more important agenda that the Palestinians are dying for... THEIR HOMELAND and it's time it was RESTORED. FREE PALESTINE ????

Stay strong my sister. We give thanks for your blessings: Your initial shared accommodation; being able to sponsor your family to join; your course entry, polite people in your area and on the bus; your opportunity to exercise daily through walking and your continued faith. My thoughts are with you concerning your headache as an occasional migraine sufferer myself. There are many triggers for painful headaches that do not appear to go away; here are a few you may want to look into: Atmospheric pressure (heavy rain , thunder storms); Fluorescent lighting ( this took years to discover); Dehydration (It is recommended to add some salt to your water -too help retain some water in body); excessive light from computer screens & phones ( you may want to adjust your display in the computer/iPad accessibility suit); Sinus congestion; Stress from possible overthinking & worry; hypertension; dietary intolerances (BBQ sauce, strawberries, & dairy were mine); Too much salt intake in food e.g. Maggi cubes and added table salt; Tension in shoulders, etc. \n\nIn addition to above suggestions you may wish to soak your feet in water in the evening, I add Epson salt and oil of my choice lavender etc.\n and eye glasses prescription review.\nDeep tissue massages or reflexology once a month etc.\nYou may wish to keep a journal of your headaches to help you monitor triggers and not effective relief solutions;\nAnd Food prep in advance to save some cooking time.\n\nAll the best. Kenyah

Something is very rotten in this world.. The governments of these countries heavily criticise The West but at the end of the day, their refugees from their countries come flocking to us for a better life.. Fleeing is easy! If you really want a better life, you need to work hard and push against your leaders to demand that your voice is heard! offering asylum is the humane thing to do yes, but it's not helping solve any problems. Sometimes you need to be cruel to be kind and i think it's about time we shut the doors.

Every place has its positives and negatives. Canada is beautiful, clean and green. The people are polite and friendly at a superficial level and the infrastructure is great. But for a new immigrant it's very difficult to make new social contacts or even to get a good job. The cost of living is high and housing costs are exhorbitant. The medical system is terrible with people having to wait weeks to meet a specialist \n\n Indian cities are mostly dirty, polluted and chaotic with poor infrastructure. There is rampant corruption and people can be rude and obnoxious especially while driving. But you can get help for everything and living costs are affordable. Plus the social contacts ..family and friends around are priceless. The medical system is way better provided you have some money.
