I am floored! Back in the 90's I got busted being in Canada illegally ( overstayed my time and was working in a restaurant)and I got a plane flight back to America in handcuffs and told what an embarrassment I was and to never return to the country. Immigrating for Studies is different from Immigrating for Work and Residency. These people think they are all the same. There are different levels of intake based on how much limited resources Canada has. If you come for studies, that should be your intention. You get your education, and then go back to their country of origin. If you want to come for work or residency, apply as such and get in line behind others who use the system fairly.

I think Canada should shut it's borders completely NO IMMIGRANTS at all except the most severe cases for asylum. Once we get back on out feet get housing, unemployment and our budget balanced better then slowly look at what Canada needs. Our university students can't get jobs because we aren't trained personel. I am not A Canadian I’m an American, but I interact with lots of Canadians as they find themselves coming down here for one reason to the other and I’m not near the border either. I’m quite far into the US in a major US city.\n\nThere are two types of Canadians that distinct themselves. The first group is the ones that are themselves immigrants that are naturalized. I make this distinction because many cases they have not assimilated. They still have their own culture from another country and is pointed out by the narrator people from south Asia and Asia strongly have their culture And language \n\n( Canada is good for allowing people to live in communities to cut themselves off from the main screen. You have people who speak the Ukrainian language Going Back 4 generations)\n\nThen I’m gonna have to use a euphemism that might make peoples hair stand on the back of their neck. I’m gonna call them. The white Canadians has a euphemism. These are people who are going so far back from the British Isles for the most part and the French also speak another language who have no connection to Europe. The English-speaking Canadians who are you from white could walk down or come down to the US and fit right in in a matter of weeks if they’re not already assimilated into the US Culture ( I hope I don’t see any fireworks start coming from this comment) Many of these white Canadians are now more economically disadvantage than the newer Asian and south Asian immigrants and find themselves often times competing for resources with these newer immigrants. According to the news we broke 40 Million residents in Canada in the new year. They just announced that the Canadian population is already at 41 million as of last week. How can we absorb this many people. I would say the majority are from India. A lot of these new residents are amazing. But hear me out......For more than 70 years Canada has accepted diverse immigrants from around the world. These immigrants have always had challenges with acceptance and integration as they bought homes and had families and raised children to be Canadians. But these immigrants are economic migrants. They don't want to be Canadians like they used to. They want the PR, and the citizenship. But they want to work and move all that money out of Canada back to India. Then when they retire, they themselves will dump all their Canadian assets and move to India where cost of living and home ownership is exceedingly less expensive. Even their federal government pension plan money will move out of the country. I'll be totally truthful...MY perception of these economic migrants is that THEY HATE US. In India they are educated, come from Middle class and upper middleclass families. They want the PR and Citizenship so they can eventually pull their entire family from India over to Canada. But they have to Work at Burger king or Tim Hortons when they arrive. And the HATE and resent Canadians for it. \n Canada allows people to keep their foreign passports and citizenship. There are 300,000 people with Canadian citizenship living in Hong Kong, There are 450,000 people with Canadian citizenship living in Lebanon with a War about to expand across the border. I'm an immigrant myself but I don't have pleasant experience with people from India all my 10 years living in Canada. I rent a place where the house next door is owned by a middle-aged Indian woman. She rejected to split the cost when my landlord suggested building a fence between our place and hers, because one time her one tenant almost run over my landlord when backing up her car. Recently the Indian lady rent her house to 15 plus other Indian people who litter their garbage all around her house and honk their cars at night, literally making the atmosphere much alike those slum videos of India I've seen in the past on YouTube. \n​I've talked to a few of them about the noise, they promised me it wouldn't happen again but they never kept their promises. I have no clue how to communicate with these people anymore, I might as well look for a new place to live.

I’m a 1st generation immigrant too and I worked too hard to get my permanent residency instead of protesting. It’s hard to go back, situation in not good but they have to understand that going back is not the end of life. In addition, I also suggest you to put some sort of disclaimer in your video to avoid people from hating Indian community. Due to some people and some poor policies too that allowed such people in the country, there is a rising hate for community and your video can trigger it even more although I personally stand for the side that you are showing but there’s a second side of this as well. Canada’s government need to tax rich, tax people who save on taxes with loopholes, and then incentivize having kids, add a better child support payment, increase student grants for people to gain skills that will help them in achieving a better paying job and Canadians feel more ready to give birth to a child.

I think it has more to do with affordability, creating a housing crisis and our services being overwhelmed Canada is taking more people than our country can support we need to bring our immigration levels back down to sustainable levels period.

I am an immigrant from India, came with job offer, earn enough that i do not get child benefits and pay high taxes.\n\nStudents from Gujrat and Punjab from India are literally headaches. Glad I came across this vid. I'm a PhD candidate and I've decided to go back home when I finish. I'm really appalled at the state of healthcare here. I had to literally beg a doctor for a blood test, something that is so simple to get at home. I have never been so depressed and off balance and I think a lot of it has to do with the weather. I really thought I would like it here, but it's not worth being away from my family for a place like Canada.

I am against irregular immigration due to the economic consequences. But the funny thing about this video is that the whole world knows that Canada was a vast land with the north American natives being the original inhabitants. That's the Canadian identity. I visited Canada in 2015 and 2016. I was absolutely amazed by the place the people the nature everything. I come back again last year and I was horrified what happened to this beautiful country in such a short time. I hope Canada will get back to the old ways and be great again ?

I came from France back in 2015 whith my familly when Harper was still prime minister at the time , really I'd say things have been really great , my family and I have worked hard to get to where we are today and have always wanted to give back to our community here but I am disgusted to see in 2024 what Trudeau has done to the country and to see that immigration is no longer as prestigious as it used to be. Unlike some people we have today, I had to wait 3 years with my family before receiving approval to move to Canada (after so many exams, appointments and waiting times). I did my middle school here until college and I'm currently still looking for work in correctional and when I see that people arrive here afterwards without being permanent residents, who are literally flooding spots at colleges/university and also jobs that are normally open for young canadians in their 15-16 (When I was in high school, my first job was at a McDonald's, and without exception, everyone there was Canadian. Today, when I go back to the same McDonald's for a cheeseburger every now and then, the entire staff is nothing but Indians) .As a person with an immigrant background, I'm the first one to say that there's a very big problem in Canada, and that current immigration, mainly from India, is no longer for economic reasons but to reunite families.(They do not, and will never, assimilate into Canadian culture.)Now that I've grown up in Canada for almost half my life, I'm already thinking about either returning to France or start over somewhere else if nothing changes.\n\nThe Trudeau government, uncontrolled immigration, dangerous idelogies from extreme far left idea, rising unemployment, and economic misery getting worse every day , gradually pushes me away from the country I love, Oh Canada.

20 years ago, international students were the cream of the crop. They usually came from upper class families and were wealthy. Some of these were my friends, who went to boarding schools abroad and decided to come to UT for their bachelor's. Many went on to graduate school in the United States or Switzerland and never came back to Canada again. They were not here to be Canadian citizens. They were already very wealthy and there was no incentive to be here. I learned a lot from their experiences. The international student route was never meant to be a pathway to citizenship.

A lot of Canadian have a misconception about Indian students. Majority of the students who came after the pandemic were business professionals who took the pandemic as an opportunity to get back to education. They chose Canada because of its beauty and friendly people. The reality of which is they paid 3 times as much tuition as a Canadian, got abused at their work place for bare minimum wage. They paid a hefty price for a degree that no country recognizes. Its funny how your PM cashed your CERB cheques with the cash of international students. Its sad how Indian students follow the legal process to enter your nation and get hate for being illegals. Students who have a CRS score 500+ struggle to make a living while your government provides easy immigration by asylum to people who themselves burned their countries down. Its sad to be in a nation where getting a call connected to the CRA takes more time than getting political asylum. Your government spends your tax money on asylum seekers and their 6-7 kids who come with them and not international students. We bring money to your nation. 7 billion dollars is what the students bring your nation every year, while your PM sends 5 times as much to fund someone else’s war. You put a communist dictator to represent you and you are paying its price. Darker days lie ahead for Canada and they have nothing to do with Indian students.

So hindus lie to hindus and Canadians have to pay prize, if any hindu comes in Canada to study, that's all, they say they lived 3 or 4 years, payed tuition for college, so according to their rules now it is time they to get citizenship.
