Send them back. I came to canada in 2017 as an international student, paid shit tons of money for housing, tuition fees. Worked full time after graduation,yet my immigration process is taking long. Evey step I took went through proper screening, and yet it's taking forever. Send them back. At this point theres no gurantee for people like me to get permanent residence over here. With all the back logs etc. So why should they be granted status, while my work permit expires in 6 months and immigration officers wont bother to answer my phone calls for extension. I have paid my taxes, I have obeyed the law. I'm a law abiding citizen. At this point, I'm even thinking of going back. This country wants new talents and more people to add to their workforce. But if they treat people like me like this. Then we might as well go back.

In 2010 I had a one way ticket to Florida to visit some friends. At the airport they pulled me aside and said that if I didn’t come back to Canada within 14 days I’d never be allowed back into America again. I was traumatized and never went back. But here we are 13 years later and I can just walk wherever I want to go on this side of the world lol…but for real, this is sad. If you aren’t used to Canadian temperatures your in trouble. I went to Canada as a student and never again I paid a lot of fees, I received a very disrespectful and abusive behavior from school and I spent a lot of money with insurance, lawyer etc but the illegal immigrants receiving courses for free, money monthly, free insurance etc so ..... difficult to understand

I didn't have any issues finding a doctor. And let me tell you more: I had a special requirement of having a Doctor who could speak Portuguese because of my wife, as she couldn't speak english at the time. I found a first doctor with absolutely no issues. In fact, after a couple of months I didn't like him very much, so we went ahead and found another one very quickly as well... Maybe I'm lucky.

Canada is pretty good with French immigration, the Middle East immigration and with people that are going to give something in exchange in their view, then all those people take the best and more they could and go back to their Countries. That kind of Immigration are using Canada to get the best and saying goodbye. But it is Canada's fault, too. Personally, I fed up of the system I am not white and no native French even I talk the both languages never turned to take me serious. Tonight I watched a man digging through trash looking for food while I was getting gas. He couldn’t speak a word of English. I asked him if he was looking for food and he was embarrassed and said I was just looking for something. I gave him $5 and said get some food and he gave me a fist bump and smiled. After going to back to my car I told my daughter to wait and went into the convenience store after him and told him to get whatever he wanted to eat and I’d pay. I had to keep asking him to take more he refused most of what I offered. \nI paid for the food and told him God loves you and may He keep you safe and fed. He said thank you in English and I walked out to my car and cried the whole ride home while my daughter was silent bc she knew why I was crying. I could tell he was ashamed and it broke my heart even more. How about this one I was born and raised in Canada I’m 80 years old and have no family Dr I tried for years to get one I finally got one when I ended up in hospital and a kind nurse got me one who went on maternity leave and didn’t come back I asked if someone else could take me I was told no and yet they were new doctors they I came to the conclusion I was the wrong colour for the place !!! My favorite beggar story in Canada was when I was in the Future Cafe in Toronro. (Best bread I ever had was there.) A guy came up to me and asked for money. So I being young and stupid pulled some money out of my wallet and gave him some, he then proceeded to lecture me on how to help a pan handler. He told me to tell them no, leave, get the money out of my wallet then come back to them and give it, that way they do not know where my wallet is. (Lol) My most unfav. was 8 months before when I first went to Canada and was at the Toronto bus station. A man asked me for money, so I gave him the last few dollars I had. (Seriously I even held up my wallet and showed him it was my last few bills. At that time I was leaving Canada for New York and didn't think I would need them ever again.) Another man who saw this exchange came up and asked me for money, before the other guy had even left. I told him I had just given the last of my money to the other guy, and he proceeded to yell at me calling me a liar and even pushed me.

Well Canada is a great country, my grand parents were able to get here in 1957 with their 3 kids, after going through and surviving WWII, work in Europe was scarce and employers were abusing their workers everywhere. My dad was one of those 3 children's, he met my mother here, they had me and my sister. Today i have 3 boys of my own and my sister has 2 girls. Canada has any country as their plusses and minuses, but i wouldn't live anywhere else. I've lived my whole life on the south shore of Montréal, worked in and around Montréal for 35 years. Never ran out of work as long as i was willing and able to work. I've worked in all my life, 65% immigrants and 35% Québecer's. There both are kinda racists in some way and they have there own reasons as well. I was bullied in school till i was 11 years old, i had an accent and dressed differently since my dad made our clothing. Being ridiculed, pushed, punched etc, and then one day the bully of the school approached me and wanted to fight me. I was scared, everyone else were laughing, so i clenched my fist and punched that kid right on the nose. Everyone got quiet and the principal came out, we went to his office and then he asked me straight away : Are you gonna do this again or was it a one time thing ?? I said it will be one time thing unless someone else wants to fight me again, then i will have to defend myself again. He said ok and now go back to class, and that was that. But in the 1970's with the augmentation of people moving here after WWII, people in Canada were scared immigrants would steal their jobs etc. My grand father worked all his life till he died at 82 years old. Worked 6 days a week, 12 to 16 hours a day. My dad had worked all his life 70 hours a week and sometimes 85 hours a week. People complaining about doctors or hospitals, a lot are going in for a cold, the flu, headaches etc, for sure take 2 aspirin or tylenol and stay home, no need to see a doctor for that. If you have a broken limb or were in an accident, you go right in and get fixed up without issue really. Any country as it's inconveniences in the end ?

I think you're highlighting a huge problem. Canada loses so many people. For a while, I lived in Texas, and the difference in after tax income coupled with the lower cost of living was huge. In Canada, at the time, I could save money for my RRSPs but buying a house was out of the question...it's even worse now. In Texas, on the same income, I could live like a king. \n\nI went to a university that was really strong in computer science and engineering. The number of grads that left and never looked back is depressing.

I moved to Canada in 2012. I used to love Canada as even with $11 per hour job was more than enough to survive (during studies, part time job). I used to live happy life. But, since Liberal government was elected in 2015, things are going crap. Just between 2016 when I signed lease of 1+1 apartment for 1140$, in 2019 it was getting rented for $2400. Prices went up for house and lots of things. Liberals had messed up affordability that most people in Toronto region are living paycheque to paycheque. On top of it Carbon tax in hide of saving environment which literally not working out, is killing Canadians. \n\nAfter living in Canada for 11 years, I don’t see this country has any good future overall. Our banking to technology sector everything is outdated. World is moving so fast, Canada is not able to catch up. I am looking for easy was to get green card of USA, the country which I hated, it seems USA is far better. I have many relatives in USA, I asked around and it broke lots of my stereotypes about USA which I had developed living in Canada and from Canadians. Even met few people who lived in Canada for 10-15 years and moved to USA and living there for last 5-10 years. Worst decision of my life was choosing Canada in 2012 for easy immigration. My classmates who chose USA and moved there in 2012 are in much better position career wise as well salary wise and they files are also in progress. Living lavish life with great weather, while Canada is depressive as hell.

I’ve watched the video and I’ve read many comments. My message it’s to immigrants, Canadians & everyone. Just be some patient to read for you to think reasonable after this. I’m sure you’ll start to be reasonable regarding Canada. I had a good life good job & a nice home in Ukraine. Due to the barbarian russian invasion my family & I fled the horrific situation in Kharkiv city. I was driving a mini bus of 4 families! Most are children. We’ve arrived to Europe. Crossing many countries (Poland, Czechia & Austria) we’ve arrived to the country leading the EU. In Poland & Czechia, we’re treat very good by the people. In Austria we got hardly a payed hotel where children could get a rest!!! We still didn’t understand why they don’t want to give us rooms despite we’re paying for our staying!!! In Germany, I believe that the government did its best. But the number of comers is huge! Of course many they got disappointed as happened with me! But I still understand and believe that really the government & people did theirs best. So fast I got a job! The social connection helped to introduce me to the company! But i was not hired, I still to express myself & my qualifications. The manager was understanding, so he accepted to communicate in English and to offer me the job in case if I am successful doing the job during the first week at the site. I had to change the machines menu into English. So the manager was very satisfied with my job and I got that job. The rent! You’ll get it only if you receive the blessing of each member of the county and a very strong social connections! The doctors! To make just a blood work for my son it took 45 days of waiting! To get the doctor appointment, you need that a German guy call and get you the appointment! Because when my wife called, the secretary said: we don’t speak English! But when my wife went for her visit she figured out they’re speaking English better than her!!! My son has an issue of hyperactivity, so they refused to accept him at school more than 3 hours a day! And he was excluded from the birthday parties of his colleagues aswell other events! Other Ukrainian children, they were just attending classes! Just a show! No body cares how help their integration! About, the taxes! The half of my income was going to the government! The money back?! Only 200 euros/ month for my kid. And nothing else. Nothing! To get a neurologist appointment for my son it was necessary to wait 3 months! Prices?! Everything expensive! Technology?! Not better than Canada at all. Bureaucracy, Canada is much less. Banking system, Canada much better. Where in Germany?! The best province in Germany “Munich”. Where people stoped long ago dreaming to purchase a home. Guys, Canada doesn’t through broken people as we were in camps! Where nothing is human there! Canada doesn’t enter you in cercle of hell bureaucracy just to get your kid into school! And if he needs a support he get it right away without any background that he’s not our!!! I got a good job in Canada; so fast. Without any social connections because simply I do not have any. I rent an apartment for my family, without to proof to the landlord that I’m the best guy in the world with a witnessed county about that!!! I want you to be sure, that I am not the lonely case. Just ask Ukrainians stied in Europe for a while before they move recently. Just ask them. I am not saying it’s a paradise or cons don’t exist. Just paradise doesn’t exist! And cons are everywhere. Just I want you to be fair about Canada. Please, be reasonable! The cons in Canada are not catastrophic, and it’s not difficult to fix them. It may take some time, but not difficult. I've been Canadian my whole life, but went to California for vacation when I was a teen. At least where I'm from in Canada (BC) its just normal to smile and say hi when passing by someone. It just feels nice to do. But in California, I'd be left feeling embarrassed, people looking at me like I'm weird for smiling at strangers

I love the experience I had and i definitely wanna move there, or at least have a home in Canada when I can afford it.

I've been to Canada a couple of times to Hamilton (outside of Toronto) because my mom's childhood friend from Manchester, UK lives there and I went to the states for a few weeks to Florida, DC and NYC on a massive trip.\n\nWhat struck me is how fit Canadian women are compared to US women. Also, how genuinely friendly and humble Canadians were compared to the brash know it all attitude of Americans. I was really looking forward to America cause I was raised on its culture here in the UK. I know I've not given it a proper chance but I'm not that tempted to go back.\nI travelled a lot with my family growing up but only in the US have we ever felt like we could be in danger. Not great.\nAnd that racial segregation is pants. It's disgusting, really.

I agree, I was born and raised here, unless you speak the language, have a good education, its puts you behind the 8 ball if you want to stay here. Why? Because the cost of living is too high, Why? Because our gov. let foreign powers come into out country and flip our real estate to make fast profits and that drives up the rents and costs of housing to the point that you cannot afford to live here, period. The only way that you can do it is to team up with other families and all live in the same place and slowly build up your education, job skills and income to a point where you can afford to live and get a place of your own, thats the way they did it in my parents time and it seemed to work, but when you have a gov. that all they can think about is their climate control BS and to raise the carbon taxes, interest rates causing inflation, causing prices to go up on everything it becomes a losing battle. So unless you are prepared to work two or three jobs, don't even think about it, because now its next to impossible to do unless you have someone supporting you on your climb to the top. In Canada we need health care workers and that could be nurses, doctors, health care aids, psw's, dsw's and physiotherapists, in some provinces they give free courses to get these jobs and you end up getting good wages like min. 25.00 per hour to start and all the hours you can handle, that means if you work 60 hours a week, you make 1500 a week, now that you can survive on, I know this for a fact because a friend of mine just went through the course and now she is set for life, that was a PSW course, its all up to you, if you want it bad enough, you can have it all. Welcome to Canada.

On the point of the nonmixing demographics, I've completely noticed and think it's really odd about the US. I grew up in Houston, and so far it's the place in the US I've witnessed actual mixing of demographics. Everywhere else feels and looks extremely segregated which is really sad. When I went to NYC was when I truly noticed the living together but segregated and cannot stop seeing it anywhere I go other than Houston. Hell even the restaurants had 1 demographic working inside really hammering it down. \nI also gotta with Aba, i hate the nonmixing most areas do. Got my car broken into in Montreal in the six years I livelived there three times only one of them got caught the police asked me if I wanted to send him to jail I said yes they were very surprised. I said yes they sent me paperwork stating that he went to jail for a few months and never got my car broken into when I lived in the US lived here, most of my life.

To each his own because i have had horrible experiences in Canada. During covid lock down , i went to visit my sister and missed my flight twice because of difficulties with getting a covid test. There was a whole long line just to get a damn test. Here in America there's a CVS everywhere. \nI also did not like the food there too much. After buying food from a local restaurant i knew my home cooked food would have turned out better. \n My sister gave birth and bought a sofa around the time she just put to birth. The guy doing the delivery left the couch at the door after i begged him to help us as my sister just had a c-section and could not lift heavy stuff-he refused and i was just shocked. In America people would gladly help if you needed help.\nLast month i sent my sister a Christmas gift through UPS and when it arrived Canada, they returned it to me after i paid to clear it at customs.\nI would never want to go to Canada again.

Lived in Toronto for 7 years. Had to come back home to the US due to finances/living situation/bad relationship. Some of the nicest people I've ever met, Yonge Street is amazing, downtown is amazing. Went to Wainfleet and Burlington all the time, loved it out there. Wish I could go back sometime. It's definitely a lot nicer than some of the places I've lived in the States.

I am from the Northeast and went to Canada as a teen for the George Bernard Shaw Festival and I was amazed by how clean the area was. People leave trash everywhere here and it only has gotten worse. Not only that, but I uses to work at a hotel in my area and would assist with breakfasts and the cleanest, most polite people I ever assisted were from Canada. Other visitors from the states would leave trash, syrup, cereal, dirty paper plates everywhere... Canadians cleaned up after themselves. Shout out to Canadians!

I spent 10 years studying and working in Toronto, where in most of the neighborhoods I went I was the only non-Indian person. Now I live in Edmonton, where everywhere I go in my neighborhood I am pretty much the only non-Indian person as well. I work for a large pharmaceutical company, where most of the operations staff are also Indian, I am often the only non-Indian person at work too. Just keep it in mind.

Oh the tap water thing, agree 100%. I moved to Canada a decade ago, started to learn about the tap water, then assumed the US got the same if not better, then I travelled to Miami, Fort Lauderdale, omg, the water is yellow, went back to Canada and felt eternally grateful.\nPublic transportation in Canada is much better, for example, buses accommodate people with wheelchairs very well and drivers are very patient and actually got off their seats to help people to get on, get off. I went to New York, omg, subways stink with urine, buses don’t even have any place for people in wheelchairs, impossible to get in, maybe some of them have but I didn’t see them. All buses in Canada have ram for wheelchairs, strollers, etc.
