I have been in Toronto recently for holidays and it was one of the worst places I have ever been to. The whole city is simply full of cars, it stinks everywhere, you get watched by security all the time when you go shopping (even for clothes), which, as a european, was just a major cultural shock, and once when I used the subway to go somewhere, we could not continue because someone got shot on a street so that is was blocked. The combination with a total lack of any nice place like some nice parks or something (there is the lake, but somehow they managed to literally build an airport on an island opposit of the promenade, which is simply loud and disturbing), I would liteally be depressed after a few months if I had to live there. I am not really sure why people go there despite these high rents. In my opinion, rents would need to be lower than average in such a city...

I visited Toronto in 1986 and I've had friends from that city. The whole world is changing and facing the issues you mentioned in your video. I had lived in Seattle before its decline. I'm in Pittsburgh temporarily and I had lived recently in Erie, PA. They all seem to be facing the same situation--housing crisis, homelessness, and crime. And in Pittsburgh, limited social services.\n\nHowever, I'm sad to see a socialist country such as Canada suffer with these ills. If a socialist country can't take care of its people, there's little home for a capitalist country like the US.

It s not only Toronto but the whole of Canada has been hard on locals and immigrants. We re seeing more and more immigrants newly arrived who become disillusioned with Canada and decided to move out of Canada permanently due to many factors, i.e, cost of living, low salaries, housing shortages and sky high mortgages....

I lived my whole life in Canada until 2018 when I moved away. Leaving Canada was the best thing I ever did. I miss some aspects, but the country is now an unsustainable playground for the rich.

I have spent my life time. Life was great in the 80s and 90s. Time to live, enjoy, lots of job opportunities and saving. One person working could feed the whole family and it was a family system with shows that focused on family and discipline. Now after 40 years, its just the opposite. Gov taxes, more taxes, and at the end you are living pay check to pay check. They want to train your kids, they want both the husband and wife to work and give them half the salary.

I think first of all, we have to understand that we had been living in a peaceful world for the past few decades in contrast with the world just after world war two, and every young people had been living in comfort during their whole life. The last few years had changed, and if the world leaders didn't control the situation very carefully, we might be living in a world war not surprisingly. The inflation we are having is worldwide as a result of the pandemic, and because we have this rising inflation, the world had changed, it would have been worst if there is a world war going on at the moment. So this high cost of living is happening everywhere, and some places are even worst if they are having a war. If you think Canada is bad, name a place that is better than Canada and live there. I doubt if you can find another place better than Canada even with all your complaints. Do more research and you will appreciate that you are one of the lucky ones living in Canada. If you do not agree, I invite you to make another video telling me your findings. We are just in a bad cycle, just wait till the cycle ends, and we will see the sun shining again.

What all Indians miss is the dirt cheap labour to which the Indian middle class has access in India. I watched the whole video to find what actual problem you faced but could not identify a single one. I myself live in Europe since last 35 years and every time I visit India I see how people are constantly obsessed with eating out and show off. It’s obvious that if you are brought up in India then you will not be able to shed the bad habits younger used to.

No country is a utopia. We typically hear about what all the wonderful things a place supposedly has, then you learn the whole story. The best way to really learn about a country is to read or watch books or movies meant for the locals, where they typically describe problems that occur, such as crime, corruption, social mores and such.

The economic situation int the whole world is still worse and getting worser. If people alredy settled to cannada with their family for some time and already build their life, they should face the situation. for such a group of people it´s still not easy to leave and rebuild theier life again. It need much ressources and flexibility. especially for families. For those who stand allone, there are also no guarantue that it brings satisfaction. every country has his pro and cons. So it´s not an easy decision for everybody. So think of the pros and cons of the destination first, before leaving.

This is pretty funny. I'm Canadian and my best friend is an economist working for the government on demographic issues full time. Just has an FYI canada has seen its highest immigration rate in the past 50 years last year. I can also see and feel all the immigrants moving in the job market. I'm not so sure why those videos keep being produced. This country is not perfect but it's better than many other places in the world. For example, canada is barely affected by climate change because we already have resilient infrastructure. When it comes to housing it's not so much that the governement does not allow for more building than the fact that it's hard to build affordable homes because the homes in canada require a lot of work due to the nature of the climate. (Has a trained carpenter and GC I know.) It's also very far from all of the world's chaos. All those emerging wars will affect Europe directly but all we get are some small economic backlashes. Anyhow, I've been living here for my whole 31 years of life and I've enjoyed the place and its peace. What I dislike is the cold and the lack of sun. Whatever you do I don't recommend Turkey, my family tried to move there from the US (as non Turks). It is enticing at the beginning since its a Muslim country with decent infrastructure, and we had nice experiences visiting there, but for moving a family there it's a whole different struggle. Turkey is a homogenous society, and it turns out you can't really just insert yourself into a new land you have no ancestral, lingual, or cultural connection to. We could not integrate and employment opportunities were minimal for non turks. I recommend you either move to your country of ancestry, because you have a legitimacy and connection there lingually and culturally, or you could temporarily move to an expat friendly country like Qatar or something (I don't say UAE because its a consumeristic immoral dump). If you are Arabic speakers you can also consider other Arabic speaking countries like Lebanon, Morocco, etc.

I think it will be much, much more better for you and your family to live in a Muslim majority country being a Muslim. Islam is just not really compatible with Canadian culture or Western culture as a whole. I wish you luck on your journey.

I was born in North York in 1955. Used to be the cleanest city in North America. Beautiful, modern, safe. Now, I'll be blunt. to parrot a phrase from Trump, it's a SHITHOLE of a city. Nothing but condos, you can't even see the lake anymore. Every 6 months when I go downtown from Aurora there another 30 condos being built. Often owned by foreigners with lots of money, who buy up 3-5 units at a time. Parking and traffic are impossible. Green spaces like Allen Gardens are now owned by homeless, not the taxpayers. The government is a far left leaning one, which means let the whole world in, no matter if there are no services, driving up debts by increased spending, and resulting in a place only the very rich can now afford to buy a house or pay rent for a tiny crummy one bedroom unit. I even give up free Leaf tickets when I'm offered, it's just not worth the aggravation of traffic and tons of people. Good luck!!!

Honestly, could not get any negative point about Canada in this whole video. It was just that you and your spouse were missing each other and you have a very comfortable life here in India, that's why you came back.
