It's because it's mismanagement of immigration laws.... you should attract more investors instead of labours .. and also attract more international students ... I applied nov 2019 I arrive oct 2023 (4 yrs) but I know my friends who arrived two years earlier than me as refugees

100%. We live in Windsor, our university and college are all international students from India. Now, my wife and I have to pay a lot more money for our kids to go to college and university outside of our city. That is absolute bullshit, and needs to be fixed. There are just too many immigrants being let in. I’m shocked at the amount of international students at my college. I feel like its almost 90% are international students trying to get PR and some of them can barely write properly. The quality of work being put out by the students makes me question the integrity of schools. So many of them don’t care about what they’re studying and put minimal effort. All they want is PR. They are not willing to adopt Canadian values and I see people pushing and shoving to get on public transport instead of being civilized. I think immigrants from 30 years ago were a different group. Most were refugees and wanted a better life and were willing to adapt to Canadian culture and adopt new values. But nowadays, the mass of immigrants coming in are very different. Many of them are wealthy and are here not to make a better life for themselves and contribute to Canada. They are here to get PR in order to get Canadian benefits as its much better than their own countries. Some want to be able to move to the US later on. They’re taking advantage of the system and it’s f*cking the country.

Madam stop telling people they would get automatic PR when they are done with school, because that's a very big lie and that is what most people are suffering in Canada after they are done with their study and PGWP. Here in India students are now going to Australia and other countries over canada a country that shelters terrorists who openly threatened to bomb our planes. Our government doing great job in isolating canada from Indo Pacific and closing doors for free trade. Imagine losing access to world two biggest market thats what canada have done their entire economy now on international students

Most Chinese international students choose to go back to China because Canada is undevelopped compare to the cities they came from. But for people from poor countries, Canada is heaven, have many babies and the government pays for it.

Let the snowflakes leave, most of them here are for the passports anyway. The international student scam also needs to be stopped until the economy and housing getting better.

Thus, leaving behind unskilled immigrants working min. pay menial jobs. Many 2-year colleges in Canada, like Langara, also exploits international students with bait-and-switch schemes and false promises. These int‘l students will not gain meaningful employment after graduation but continue to work min. pay menial jobs. Depend on their home countries, some will stay, but others from more advanced economies will likely leave Canada. Thus, leaving Canadian tax payers holding the bags. \nInflation and housing are also high in other countries, but there are more high pay jobs too. \nThat‘s why the federal govt decides to address this issue. It is too late, I think.\nYes, I will also be leaving Canada soon. I don‘t want to cough up over 50% marginal tax to subsidize drug addicts, criminals, etc.

It's good that people are moving back to their own countries since canada is getting worse day by day as a country to live in. After being educated all you get to do is labour and they just don't want to let us grow. The taxes are so high, half your salary is gone to the government. Housing affordability is worsening. Plus the Canadian government just calls international students for their money but doesn't provide them with jobs because all canada has is labour so it's good that people are leaving Canada.

Because life's crappy enough as a non immigrant. And yet they keep bringing in more when nobody wants them, nobody can house them, international students are being scammed and Trudeau's policies are failing us. It's really a lose lose lose situation. Domestic kids born here have competition getting into classes in their own neighborhoods, international students pouring all their money and resources into coming here get a shxt education and the school loses valuable credibility and reputation

The International Student pathway to Canada is a loop hole that is being exploited, creating a lack of immigration diversity.

Immigration without proper infrastructure. people with the means are leaving. We were 3 international students in a single class of 40 in 2012, now 100 international students and probably 5 or 6 local. that shows.

I honestly don’t see how increasing numbers of newcomers and international students could help build more houses in Canada. The point based immigration system has nothing to do with construction or trades workers. You now need to have at least master’s or PhD degree, speak both English and French and have 3 years of skilled experience to be able to qualify for express entry in Ontario. Is that a profile of someone who wants to live here and build houses, seriously?

Arbitrary migration targets are simultaneously increasing demand and suppressing wage growth. There are better ways to control immigration. I would suggest demand based approach with some guard rails in place. For instance, I would require all educational institutions to provide housing for international student (at least 50%). Businesses should be required to provide accommodation to all temporary/seasonal workers on top of the minimum wage. In order to hire foreigners employers should be required to prove that he is paying enough to afford housing in the region (market cost of accommodation is less than 30% of salary). Accommodation for refugees should be secured before bringing them to the country from around the globe. No accommodation = no permits. It would limit demand and prevent wage suppression.

the amount of international students Canada is accepting is not sustainable. There's not enough student housing or part time jobs. The colleges and universities have taken advantage of both domestic and international students.

I got fired from my job cause my factory Viva hire 95% international students from India, age from 18 to 27 so call students with full time working visa no kidding those people lots already finished university in their own country they don’t come here for study they come here for our jobs.
