How is that helping his case? \nUnder the table money - if oil patch workers cannot work in Alberta how can legally he frame houses? \nSkips hearing to hide his family - automatic deportation order. \nRefugee is a Federal matter, so how can skipping across a Province delay his hearing? \nUnaware of even basic laws and rules - his expectations were false and he is an illegal trying to claim refugee status. \n\nReally not sorry for this particular case, he has no idea of the rules and regs and expects things will bend and go his way. His lawyers took his money and it appears he had no idea of the minimum requirements to stay.

I’m a an American that is strongly against illegal immigrants but I think this type of man is not the one I want out. Liberals assume we hate them and are racist but we’re not. Even if they do try to do it the legal way sometimes they are not granted with any type of visa or green card. The government can deny their application for many reasons. So they end up crossing the border illegally. As well it is cheaper to cross the border than to apply for a visa or some sort of legal document. Many of these “lawbreakers” you suggest to be in jail have tired to do everything the legal way but it didn’t work out. Immigrants risk their lives and their love ones to have a better life, to be able to work to be able to have things that it’s impossible to have in their country. They are innocent people with dreams and hopes I don’t know why ya are so quick to judge. Try to put yourself in their place, and try to be open minded and listen.

Could you imagine living and working in a foreign country for a decade and a half and not know enough of the language to have an interview? This silliest part of this story is that if he could write a resume listing all that construction work that he has done he could easily find work that pays comparable wages to what he gets in Canada or the US in most Latin American countries. And he wouldn't even have to deal with documentation problems and culture shock. Construction businesses in those countries would be delighted to have workers capable of working to North American standards.

A lot of people comment about how illegal immigration is ok, and blah blah blah. It's simple to say that when you don't feel the direct impact. Change the US as a country to your house. Now let's say the neighbors land Lord is beating the shit outta everyone in that household (play on the violence that's happening in country of orgin). One of then move into your house without letting you know beforehand (illegals). Let's say you don't mind and understand why they did so. Now they work hard around the house and get a job to spend for themselves and send money next door to the family still left behind. . But they don't have to pay for electricity, gas (aka taxes). And since you own a 3 bed room house, things don't change that much. Now 2 more of the neighbors flee because of the asshole land Lord. Now you have to start working slightly harder to pay for your utilities aka taxes. Now you start seeing how more people affect your household. Now even more people flee the next door neighbors and you work even harder for utilities plus your trash is overflowing, have to invest in larger trash cans, fix the doors or ascetic's(pipes, faucets, tubs etc) in your house from over use or mismanagement. Plus you have to start driving their kids to school, you have to get a bigger vehicle (that's a play on the education systems bloating classroom problems)spend more on gas and car maintenance, and since they all don't speak English, to have to spend money on making signs to inform them of the house rules and dangers. You have to invest time out of your schedule to inform them how things work in your house hold because at their house they walked around naked or shit with the door open (play on different societal norms or religions) and may even have to alter your rules as not to impose and anger them. Know the house is over filled and they expect you to buy a bigger house (play on the welfare state)I mean I can go on... But people reading this can get the drift. Point is, yes i understand that people want a better life and all immgration in not necessarily evil, but you can't just let anyone come in because you feel bad. Making change based off emotions of a few is detrimental to the whole.

From what I heard coming from other source .Also when I see them at food banks taking home more than $150.00 in groceries from just 1 food bank they goto 9 amonth .their cell phones are top of the line .Clothes and shoes brand name only .Gold jewllery ladys purses $300.00 and up .And they all have cars from 40 thousand and up . One place i never see them is value village .How do they do iit ?I had 2 kids and on welfare a few years back and I had a hard time trying to get some things that we badly needed and could not afford and things were a lot cheaper .The most I ever spent at no frills been on assistance was $75.00 for the whole month .6 years ago and no cell phone gold. or cars .So how these people do it ?oh and by the way I go ti no frills once a week .Those same refugees are there every thursday spending $500.00. on goceries and none of them work .Some time neighbours talk and thats how things are know .Our government is a big lier .We the tax payers are paying for all of these Once a refugee of this country one canot be sent back or deported so if this refugee never finds a job you the tax payer and I will pay for his or her assistance and maybe for a life time .like in the case of gypsies refugees they are all on assistance go to all the food banks rob the community of their belongins their cars items from stores donations in front of churches and stores they dress the best also spend hundreds of dollars on food they shop for clothes at the mall and we the tax payer brake our backs 6 days a week 10 hours a day like me and I cant afford even half of what these people can .So even if they become criminals we have to support them .Some refugee law and rights should be changed to ensure that tax payers are not been taking advantage of .

I worked construction in my summers and I know skilled carpenters, even the ones that never went to trades school, can easily make $45/hr in Calgary if they subcontract or even $40 on payroll and its not even boom times. A lot of guys I worked with were easily clearing $100 000 a year but the problem is they choose to buy brand new pickup trucks on instalments or have overall poor saving habits. Hours are really long too. What I noticed about wages in Vancouver and Toronto are that they are really bad for construction workers, I know a guy in Vancouver whose a layout journeyman making only $21 a hour, a labourer in Calgary starts out at usually $19-20.

Lol, the funniest part about most shoplifters is that they are usually white and the only reason they don't get caught is because no one is watching them or cares if they steal. I agree with a lot of the things said in the comments. He didn't properly look into what is required for refugee status and came illegally so shouldn't receive preferential treatment. However, his not speaking English...where could he go to learn as an illegal immigrant? And likely he had to work long hours to save money for lawyers, etc. The language thing to me seems a bit harsh. He may even know passable English, but the reporters may have wanted the interviews to go more smoothly and so spoke in his native language.

Why don't you cover this story with some integrity, Vice? Sob story for sure, but he's now a criminal and you don't even identify that's he's still free AND working, separated from his family as a result, but you include that as some sort of injustice. A lot of people actually spend a lot of money, get higher education, get English language accreditation and rack up work experience just to get to Canada LEGALLY as an immigrant, where they have to start from the bottom again. Why are they even getting same rate on social assistance as every Canadian citizen when they aren't even Canadian. Nor have they even worked for it again the tax payers are on the hook for them

Let's put it another way... I was born in Canada and I had moved abroad at 30 for work and was gone for about 10 years. When I got back, it happened to be the same year our PM was waiting at the airport for the arrival of some refugees with winter coats for them and their Medicare cards, as well as housing provided for them. I had to run around for a full month trying to get my drivers license renewed since it had expired, and had to wait a full 6 months to get a probationary Medicare card, p-r-o-b-a-t-i-o-n-a-r-y....I felt outraged. I am not saying that many don't have a valid reason to flee their country, but when they know that they will receive housing and cash, of course people will flock to Canada, even if they aren't fleeing something.

You fled the richest nation in the world, for Canada\n What did you expect? \nCanada takes refugees from war zones not from NYY.. Canada doesn't just hand out money. America has free healthcare basically, it's called Medicaid, I wouldn't say I'm poor at all, which is what people think you have to be to qualify. I'd say normal middle class, husband works in a factory making decent money and we qualify for it, but yes healthcare is ridiculous, even Medicaid doesn't cover everything.

I work in a small retail store where I play both the manager, and the shoplifter catcher, and tbh, the usual shoplifters are suburban white kids. I had a white friend that worked at a Walmart and she said she caught way more white people stealing than blacks but management did not call the police over half the time and let the person go. But for the black people that were caught the police was called every time. I have even seen it myself when the sales person clearly saw the makeup in this white girls pocket, I know she saw it because I silently pointed it out to her and she just walked away. This happens all the time, but white people thinks black and brown people just like to make things up.

My personal thought about the women in this video, good reason they cover their faces, they are butt ugly! That guy with the long beard, I can recommend him a very good Sicilian barbershop, close shave I have issues with what is going on in Canada, the fact I didn't vote for Primister Deerintheheadlights makes me all the more angry, as I feel justified to speak out against the Liberals. I didn't sign up for this. Rushing in 25k more refugees is crazy. I am concerned about the security issues, and the fact the refugees will drain even more tax dollars away from our already fragile economy. Just thinking out loud, what benefit do these refugees have coming to Canada, none. They will live a life of welfare and eventual poverty. Some very few may prosper, and others will turn to crime. I can't see 25k refugees coming to the GTA to work on the railways and build subways or doing construction work. I can't see the refugee women working at anything more than Tim Hortons, if they are even allowed to do so, based on their religion. I have seen it, I live it everyday. Someone, please prove me wrong?
