People from Asia will work together to get what they want or need, white Canadians keep trying to succeed as individuals and don't allign themselves. One group will take over because they can operate as a team.

the infrastructure of Canada cannot handle a million new people a year. the Liberal government has exploited international students and temporary workers too much and needs to be reigned in. these policies and practices do not benefit Canadians, only landlords and franchise owners and the tax collectors are getting the benefits. you and i get inflated demand on rent and food prices. overcrowded classrooms and hospitals. delivery drivers who can't understand english and drive like maniacs. this is exacerbating the housing crisis in such a way that a single person cannot compete for the cost of a one bedroom apartment when a group of indians will share the cost with as many as seven people in one unit. our infrastructure, housing and transit was never intended to have this many people. there isn't even any rapid transit outside a handful of cities. mass immigration is also leading to election interference and could be used to vote in WEF garbage that will ruin even more nice things we take for granted. our high trust society is gone. shameless life hacks and citizenship of convenience is all most migrants are coming for. mass immigration is bringing down the standard of living in Canada. poverty and homelessness are out of control. whether its the chaos of crime or the eyesore of encampments. whether its was just a package on your porch or your car stolen from your driveway, the government isn't handling the load that mass immigration is putting on society and Canada's legal system is a joke. its almost like the Liberals are actively recruiting an army of psychopaths just to vote for them. the drugs and the gangs and the organized crime isn't worth the hollow platitudes and desperate social programs.

The G7 has made such a mess of other countries that they've made it unlivable there that's why people move to the G7 nations for a better life. Citizens of G7 nations need to get involved in their government to know of the oppression G7 nations support. G7 stop funding bad leaders else where.

Essentially, they are finding ways to exploit their entry into the country, unlike my parents who had to wait patiently for years to come to Canada. I belong to an ethnic group. In the 1960s, when my parents immigrated to Canada, only a limited number of people from our ethnic group were allowed in. My parents were compelled to assimilate into Canadian culture to make friends. I had hoped to marry someone from my own ethnic group, but there were few eligible women. Therefore, both my brothers and I married Anglo-Saxon women. While I take pride in my parents' background, I do not live in a segregated community of my own kind. Instead, I reside in a mixed area and have no intention of bringing over 100,000 people from my village back home to Canada. Canada needs to restrict immigration until we get a handle on our housing and social services levels. Also, not all new immigrants should be allowed to move to Toronto or Vancouver. They should be sent to live in provinces such as Saskatchewan or Manitoba for the first 10 years. I am sure they need skilled workers. Also, would be forced to assimilate like my family did back in the 1960s because there would not be a massive enclave from their own culture in one area. Also, the reason my parents moved to Canada was their former country was Balkanized into different ethnic groups that exploded into a massive civil war. Canada might be in danger of that in the future. Certain ethnic groups don't tolerate certain policies that have happened in Canada. When they get to a large enough number all hell will break lose as they will have to culture and political power to fight back.

I've never been to Brampton, but is this video insinuating that Indian immigrants = white people L's? That is kind of the vibe I was getting... these first world countries need immigrants too as the birth rate drops below replacement level. Usually there are lots of reasons why a city deteriorated. Alright. The median age in Canada is 41years. That means in 20 years, majority of the population would be close to retirement, which also means that if a younger population is not 'brought in' it would be disastrous for the economy. That being said, the government can limit the number for people immigrating from certain countries. If you need more Europeans, you need to create a social support net better than Europe. Its purely logical. \nIf you do not want more Indians, you limit the number of Indians coming to Canada. Its simple. Hating them for who they are doesn't help. Respect someone else's space, learn the new that comes your way, be it culture, history, anything. Why is Pierre afraid of the immigrant issue? I think - that they will all be labeled of being racists because they don't want other cultures and more people in the country. That's what it is. Part-time burger flippers, coffee pourers, cashiers, etc... are excellent jobs for teenagers to learn and earn money and move up from there. Back in the late 70s and 80s into the early 90s, retail jobs were an excellent supplement income for a family and or single person because it was worth it - today, not so much.

The majority are illegal's, asylum seekers, refugees, people on open work permits or LMIA and international students thinking they can stay permanently. They are causing high taxes, stagnant wages, housing issues, high rime rates, and high taxes. The process of immigration is a long one and it's expensive. You need to prove you have the funds and somewhere to live or work. These people are being lied to to come here, exploited with employment , it's just bad for everyone, all around....except employers. Many don't know they get Government bonuses/Tax rebates etc. for hiring newcomers. Which is why you see more newcomers then Canadians being hired now.

Blame Trudeau and Singh all you want and they deserve every insult, however the reason why there are so many immigrants is that large corporations need servile people who will work for less than minimum wage to staff their factories, retail & coffee shops. Every TH where I live in the GTA is staffed by one group of people. Why? Don't blame the immigrants blame person driving a Telsa who demands Buckstars provide their half caff double lattes. We are destroying our social safety net so large battery plants owners can import entire families because we do not have proper trained staff. Here is a thought, maybe not spend tax dollars on businesses that will use tax dollars to bring in more immigrants. Don't tell me about the tax windfall the business will create when we all know they will pay little to no tax.

I don't know.... I live in Montreal and I don't see recent newcomers as poor victims (I'm talking about most immigrants applying for refugee status) . \nWhy? \n1. In order to reach North America , one has to either cross the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean or cross huge chunks of land from Central or South America .... and that's really expensive. In Europe, since the coast of Africa is very close to Europe's , boats full of destitute and desperate people might be the norm. Not in North America. \n2. most of those guys arrive in North America looking for work \n3. most newcomers do possess smart phones and they know how to use them. They have their own network of friends and they're always on the lookout for good opportunities. \n4. most newcomers are very, very mobile. If they're having trouble finding work in Montreal and they need truck drivers somewhere else.... they'll go there . A new hospital needs aid personnel? They'll be there ready for hard work. \nThe positives ? They're probably working , making money and paying taxes. \nThe negative side? They're for the most part economic immigrants. It seems to me like most will have a hard time convincing immigration judges that they are actually refugees (economic refugees? if you will? ). \nMy take ? The way Federal Government deals with immigration should be changed. I believe that if immigrants already work here and are taxpayers... they should have working visas (at least temporarily). \nUndocumented criminal caught in the act of committing a crime? Immediate deportation (and I know this is obviously a lot easier said than done). \nMore airport screening at the entrance and more border security.

It takes 15% of immigrants up to 20 years to realize they've been duped and that the cost of living in Canada is too expensive? I'm surprised that the number of immigrants that choose to leave is not a lot higher, and that they don't do it much sooner. Those with marketable skills (doctorates, degrees, etc) are told by Immigration Canada that the country needs people with their skills. However, it's only AFTER they move here that they find out their foreign credentials are worthless in Canada. A complete stop on illegal immigration. Send those came in illegally back home. A check of all those that came in under the claim for asylum, background check, history check, vet them correctly. A complete stop on new international students. Close all loop holes that have been used to by-pass our laws. A moratorium on immigration for a minimum of 10 years or longer, that way the legal immigrants can be processed in a timely manner. Anyone who refuses to pledge allegiance to Canada and reject hatreds from their previous counties need to be deported immediately. It is alarming how many young people do not think Canada doesn't have a culture. Sympathy for those with a sob story real or not is over.

I really hate when people say there is no culture in Canada!! How so? Of course Canada doesn't have long history but still Canadians need to protect their identity. Multiculturalism and diversity is BS !!! As an immigrant myself I don't want to live in the country full of diasporas. People are escaping from their homecountries and trying to rebuild, preserve and amply their culture and identity into a new country! wtf?

It is so unfair when these new immigrants come and right away they are able to buy and own prime real estates while original Canadians that this country actually belongs to can only watch and dream of a chance of owning one but can not afford it. Worst yet most of these new immigrants they buy these homes and land not to live on it, but to build on it as for investments on behalf of investers that live in China, Hong Kong, India or some where else. This should be totally not allowed in your beloved Canada. Your Leaders and Law Makers of Canada should first and foremost consider the need and an opportunity to its people.

No offense but to the Canadian people who are struggling and are homeless or drug addicts they need to fix whatever the underlying cause is. If anything it shows that if you make the right choices in Canada and even in Brampton you'll be successful and able to survive. If you don't see any newcomers struggling then it shows that opportunity is there and even those struggling can fix their problems. I'm not Indian but there're a lot of other ethnicities of people grouping up like Chinese people in Mississauga or Markham also or a lot of Persians in Richmond Hill,etc. there's still multiculturalism just not at a smaller level.

So many towns that were once beautiful have been ruined by immigration. The way the government has poorly planned immigration is the problem. It's not a cross section of culture's coming in - it's too many people from countries that have no plan whatsoever to assimilate or even treat Canadians with respect or gratitude. 4:54 That's just it. Canada allows a lot of immigration, because there are a lot of entry-level and service jobs that Canadians don't want, or are in a position that they don't have to take them. As I understand it, it all goes back to the province of Quebec. to get Quebec to join Canada, education was made a provincial thing, not a national thing. This means that there is no national education policy in Canada, unlike a lot of comparable nations. This means it is very difficult to plan, and educate the work force to fulfill anticipated needs. The solution? Put it on the list! Immigration Canada has a list of jobs that Canada needs to fill. If you would like to immigrate to Canada, and you have work history or education for something on the list, you're in! This is much easier that investing in Canadians and planning 5-10 years ahead. If we need more nurses...put it on the list! If we need more engineers...put it on the list! If we have too many already...take it off the list. A lot of immigrants are disappointed when they get here, because from the outside, Canada seems great. Yes, it is a very safe country, and has a lot going for it. But people may be surprised to find that they have been allowed into the country, to fill jobs no one else wants. And it's a lot of work to move here from another country, so immigrants tend to get stuck in a bad situation.

This is why as an American in Québec I fully support Québec independence. French-Canadians are the original European Canadians going 400 years back. It wasn't like this 8 years ago and there's so many people of a certain demographic that outnumbers the others. Now, it's really hard to find a part-time job as student and our healthcare system is plummeting as well. Why we keep accepting them when we can't even afford to help our own citizens? This current government needs to step-down now; we don't speak for them. The fact that these people are able to rally in our country is absurd and they don't even have the rights in our country. This shows how weak the Canadian law is. They don't respect us and they mock our system.

We need more immigrants here. Places are closing due to labour shortage. Unfortunately we cannot house them at this moment. Slow immigration temporarily while we build housing. Shameful we invite good people here and make them sleep in streets. We need smart immigration.

No international student(or Indian) will come to Canada if there is no route to PR. Do you think Canadian colleges and universities are very high in the ranking list? Not at all. So imagine if students only had the option to return home after graduation, none will come to Canada and the economy will suffer. International students exploitation is happening on the federal level, then why bother with Provincial and colleges? These are temporary visas but ultimately, PR(settlement in a new country) is the goal, otherwise these students will not pack their lives and come over here.\n\nReference: I came to Canada in 2022 and left in early 2024. There are many reasons why I left but one I felt was the demographic shift and the amount of refugees that country accepts. Additionally Canada needs to raise the bar on the quality of people coming in. IRCC needs to increase the threshold to become an actual citizenship not just loophole or 3 year stay. If we need people in certain industries, then give work permits.

Instead of blaming these people, one must question their own government authorities who make the rules and legislation to facilitate this. Maybe it's just the truth of a desperate Canadian economy that needs immigrants to keep fueling the 'aging' Canadian economic engine. These people come in and work hard, odd jobs (not to mention the exceptional skilled ones as well like Doctors, health care workers etc.) which the regular Canadian wouldn't do. I've been in Canada for 2 years without a Family doctor. Thank God, the last 10 different Doctors I met were all fresh immigrants and came to my rescue. Ask your conscience, without these immigrants, you wouldn't be getting your late night coffee at the time Hortons drive thru, no one to take your blood works without you waiting several months in waiting, no ways for universities to subsidize tuition fees for the poorer Canadian students. If immigrants stop coming in, the nice detached home you live in will go down in value, the nice truck you drive will become more expensive, your kids University tuition fees will sky rocket, Canadian companies selling groceries, furniture, etc. Will have lesser revenue and eventually get eaten up be American giants, Canadian companies won't have cheap labour to build those much needed housing. \nNot only question your government, but also question your 'own' people.. Where are they to serve you? Where are the so called patriotic 'original' Canadian Doctors'? They are off to US to earn more money. U think they care enough for their home country?\n If Canada won't, somebody Else will accept these people. Hence get rid of ur ego and attitude, it's YOU that needs immigrants more than they need you ?? \nLastly, don't forget your ancestors too arrived here in ship loads from Europe as immigrants, taking away the land belonging to the native Indians who were slaughtered and today live as prisoners in reservation lands... on their own soil. I’m a Canadian nurse and I lived in the US for 10 years during my career. I did it when I was young to gain work experience and travel with friends. It gave me a lot of insight in how it feels to live in both countries. I’ve been a nurse and patient in both counties so I also know how it feels to work, live and be a resident in both. \n\nI cannot articulate enough how it has confirmed to me how fortunate I am to be Canadian. The perks to living in the US were very superficial and frivolous things that matter very little in the broad scheme of things,….which I see as more restaurant chains, cheaper restaurant food, more shopping options, etc. As a young person when I lived there,…those things seemed amazing but matter far less as I get older. \n\nWhen I lived there, I paid a fraction of the income taxes that I paid in Canada but it’s only short term gain for long term pain. The cost of health care, the amounts of gov funded benefits (disability, EI, pension, etc) in the US makes it well worth paying taxes to offset these things as in Canada. I have had cancer 3 times in 5 years and I’ve not paid a cent for treatment, scans, surgery, etc in Canada. My employer held my job for 2 years and I received long term disability of 70% of my yearly wages and my employer paid my full pension and benefits as I was off of work. After 2 years, my cancer returned and was deemed incurable so I will continue to receive this pay and benefits until I’m 65 and can retire as I can no longer work. I have no financial worries as I battle cancer. \n\nTo contrast,…my US employer was a world reknowned hospital that had excellent pay and benefits. Had I been working there when I was diagnosed with cancer, I would only have gotten full pay for 6 weeks until my sick time and vacation time was used up. Then I was eligible for a fraction of my income for 3 months, which would not be enough to live on. I would not have had my pension paid. After that, I’d receive no more pay and my employer would hold my job without pay for 6 months and then I’d be let go. My cancer required nearly 2 years off of work so after 5 months of this minimal pay, I’d have no income, no job and no benefits with a new pre existing condition to ensure that I’d have a snowballs chance in hell of getting future coverage. Meanwhile during that 5 months of some pay, I’d still need to pay huge costs of treatment despite having insurance but that would disappear after I was let go from my job. I’d have to return to work during my treatment just to afford to continue it. I have many US friends that had a similar cancer that worked throughout to cover basic cancer care while I was able to recuperate without working or fearing being unable to pay. There is nothing comparable to this when you are sick. It is everything!\n\nSadly, many of my American friends are very ill informed on how health care works in other countries and don’t see the shortcomings in their own. Ironically though, they are willing to argue it without proper information so I often find that bizarre. While lived there I felt as though I was in a bubble where the only news that I saw was US news. I saw no info or minimal about Canada in my whole time there,…aside from falsehoods about health care to scare people away from seeking change. “Canadians are all dying while waiting”, “they are all coming to the US for care”, “they pay 80% income tax” etc. All propaganda,…some from politicians or those that should know better. It was truthfully mind boggling to me how educated people could know so little about the world. It almost felt as though they heard so much propaganda about how terrible other places were while only having knowledge of the US, that it ensured that things would stay the same without anyone wanting beneficial changes to dysfunctional policies (like health care, cost of meds, lack of gun regulations, etc). It’s very bizarre.

This people need to stop we don’t want them here is too crowded already with all the migrants

mainly, north indians are messy and insensitive to their hosts, just like western people in asia (but clean and neat though). sure, i can feel for those local canadians, it's their land and culture, they need to protect it. same thing happened to sub-continent, remember colonisation by west! and then not many indians liked it either! there is no moral justification from indians occupying their cities and saying, it's fault of canadian leaders.

They need to stop bring people in the country for a while and resolve the problem first.

Not that independent your journalism since you seemed being happy when a student said “if the government don’t need you, it’s time you went home”.\nAnother thing i will add, just to remind that Canada doesn’t belong to white people. White people are also immigrants, whether you like it or not.

The government is to blame 100%. They must stop bringing people into Canada. Sort out the housing crisis. Create more jobs, and let the Canadians and legal immigrants perform. Once they are done with PGWP, if the country doesn't need you, they must go home.

We're going to need a lot more Tim Hortons if these people stay.

I don’t know why we would want to send an educated, young, willing to work, person back to India? We need workers, and history proves that the East Indians are hard working people that assimilate into Canada. As for the people that just want to come here to go on welfare and leach off us can stay in their country.

They should never be made permanent- your country doesn't need these people. I am with you Harrisson
