All very good points and things to consider before moving. I guess some points go for more countries because moving to another culture is hard anywhere. You forgot to mention all the crazy mandates concerning Covid. I know it's everywhere but I have close contact with my sister in Europe and I can say that Canada is going WAY OVERBOARD with the government control on the citizens. Now, (Nov.30) they will refuse unvaccinated residents to leave the country. WHAAAT?

I like how y’all have created this video by not applying a negative undertone rather more of an informative approach to caution prospective movers of what potentially awaits them. All I would like to highlight is the fact that some people will experience all these points as negative aspects or maybe even one or two that might lead to the breaking point.\nIt all depends on where you come from and how life was in your “home” country.\nYou might come from a higher tax environment with non existent healthcare and education. From that perspective, 40% taxes might look better and the healthcare might be great or crap depending on what your health issues are. I personally haven’t had any struggles with most of these aspects - finding a great job was relatively easier, (key word - relatively) the healthcare system worked for me when I needed it to, I was mentally prepared for the high taxes, I culturally adapted to the point where people thought I was Canadian and didn’t realize I came in from a very different environment. I’m sure this cultural adaptation helped me with my job and made it easier to live here.\nAll in all, you can say I’ve had the “perfect” immigrant experience that most people would dream of. But what do i think really? Personally, I have come to realize that Canada at the moment does not fit into my personal goals and values and that is okay. Loneliness away from people you love can be tough. It just isn’t the same feeling making new friends and hanging out with coworkers who are much older than you are and in a different place in life. I’m very close to my family and friends who I’ve grown up with and are on the other side of the world. My parents are getting older and I want to spend as much time with them as possible. For that reason, I might consider being somewhere closer to them. I’d perhaps consider coming back here some day when I’ve got my own family and kids which I currently don’t have. To me, that’s a personal value high on the list. I guess my only takeaway from this video and advise to people looking at each of these points - take each one and compare it with your home country. If you think you’re better off in Canada, then move - it’s a great place! If not, think about it real hard and weigh out the pros and cons.

I’d love to visit Atlantic Canada: all my friends here on the West Coast say it’s very nice. \nI loved living in Quebec and Montreal, but both cities are very cold in winter—and I don’t speak no french too good, hoste! \nI’m from Ontario. it probably was a beautiful place until white people got there. But it’s way too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. Most of my family has moved out to the West Coast. I guess they missed me.\nManitoba is very nice, but you’re right about cold winters and lots of mosquitoes in summer. Winnipeg is a fantastic city. The biggest city on the North American Plains.\nSouthwest Saskatchewan is absolutely beautiful. Nuff said.\nAlberta is one of my favourite provinces—just too bad about the goofy government they got there. I lived and worked there lots over the years. Many Albertans have moved out here to the West Coast to get away from the horrid politics there.\nBC is by far the best place to live. I live in the steep rain shadow of East Vancouver Island, nice and warm, short if any winter. All my friends live here. I used to live in Victoria—we might move back there—it’s my favourite city anywhere. Vancouver is a blast—but too big for me. I wouldn’t live anywhere else in this country but BC. \nFriends tell me Yukon is great but NWT’s Yellowknife is a hell-hole. I read a great online zine from Nunavut—Nunatsiaq. As close as I’m ever gonna get.\nSo you’re ranking is not very good from my perspective. Alberta sucks because of its dependence on bitumen—and it’s not “cyclical”, it’s doomed. To be honest. for scenery I think British Columbia, Alberta, PEI, And Nova Scotia Are the best and for business i think Ontario is definitely the best (most major cities are good for business too)\nEdit: forgot to mention that if you are trying to move to Canada but don’t speak English Quebec would be good to move to they speak basically a variation of French that if you are a native French speaker moving to Canada it would probably take 1-2 weeks to master (could be wrong on this) and for the territories it’s miserable there’s so much crime even in the summer temperatures above 10C (50F) are a miracle but I guess if you really want to move there you can…….

BC and Ontario both struggle with too many foreign home buyers, that make already high priced housing market, absolutely ridiculous. If this trend continues I guess we'll all be moving up to the territories.

Nobody touched the politics in Canada. I guess, it is the #1 reason to leave Canada. Both leading parties Liberal and Conservative equally irresponsible in taking decisions, they care only about staying in power, no solving real, tough problems. \nThe education in schools is too basic. In many cases is incomparable with education in other developed countries, Asian, for example...\nThen after....another disturbing tendency- radical liberal education- \nsexeducation in school - fluid gender identity theory. \nGovernment tries to do ratification of some very controversial laws about changing gender (sex) for kids from 12 years old without parents's permission. I found it is too radical, too dangerous for kids feature. \nThink one more time, would you like to raise your kids in a such political atmosphere? I think is it the most important question! I am so disappointed in Canada. So much worries for parents and confusion for children. We ready see some sad \nresults.

I never ever wanted to moved to America. Had to moved because of family and entered the country at an age of 12. Didn’t do anything but still got the US citizenship cause only my earthly parents had to passed the thingy.. I guess whatever God gives.. you just get it. Whatever God does not give. I do not mean to be negative here but anyone of you who is well settled outside Canada, don't come to Canada!, unless you want to do labor work. I know people who have done Masters in Software engineering are working in a Pizza shops. If there is one job opening there are 10 thousand applicants for the same job. Companies showing fake jobs to satisfy govt. pressures. Automated refusals replies of your job applications are common.\n People get hired on sources and within companies. Racism exists, results are killings every now and then. Go and watch news channels like CP24. Thieves are here. Things do get stolen. Recently mass graves are found near schools in multiple areas of small children of indigenous people who were tortured and killed by white supremacy in the past. Recently a whole family is killed by a maniac. No capital punishments so killers, rapists walks free after 10-15 years tops.\n\nAshir sahib is being a little dramatic. I guess the agony of Pakistani bureaucracy has influenced him so negatively that in his mind he is comparing Pakistani life with Canadian life. He himself was driving truck initially. may be now a days retired or staying home or may have sufficient funds. But don't get too excited with his kind words. He is only showing the good side of Canada in some sort of excitement. \nThe bitter truth is that unemployment rate is too high here. Govt hides the truth. They couldn't even handle the pandemic properly. Alcohol is cheap marihuana (Hashish, Charas) is legal now. Every 3rd person is smoking weed. Drunk drivers kills innocents on roads often. Every region have different rules and regulations and policies. I moved to Niagara region and they charged me $200 deposit for water $200 deposit for hydro plus monthly bills separate. $1800 to $2000 is the rent of one bed apartment. Burlington where he lives has $2800 to $3000 rent monthly for a house. Go check online! Price of buying a home is in millions of dollars. Go check real estate.

in 2007 March Good Friday we went to Montreal on the way back we stopped by mid way at Kingston Masjid to pray and take a break and forgot my son's winter jacket, \nNext year when we planned to go to Mt. It is such a shame that follow Asians and even American Natives play such a role in perpetuating racism against African descent people, but I guess they have their issues of identity. On a day-to-day, I am so insulted about the security guard that follows me in the shop, it is so disrespectful and embarrassing, that makes me move suspiciously indeed, yet so low and ignorant I don't even want to have to confront the issue. \n\nI agree with the writer who writes about his experience (and shame?) of being a black man in Canada- the same is institutionally reflected in Europe and across the world let's not be naive, we're not welcome but they should know they have no choice. I believe what he really is trying to express is based on the fear of being a black man in a hostile environment, but we should certainly have nothing to be ashamed of. \n\nOn contrary, we should be very proud because we are still here, like any other citizens paying our taxes and playing positive roles in society by major. STOP INSTITUTIONAL RACISM. We are real mothers, real fathers, real children who have a birthright to equal treatment, respect and human dignity, whether or not you choose to disagree.

All greed and brain washing by developed countries. I left my permenant residency in USA and moved legally to Canada hoping it was going to be better. It was not. Guess what. I am leaving here too and going back to Africa. I was never happy making lots of money or being around rich people. Rather suffer financially until death than live and pretend to believe lies about what it means to be human. You are a complete person no matter where you live, or how much you make or what language you speak.

Australia is also a multicultural country. Some racism exist but not much to be concerned of. However, stereotyping does exist, especially with aboriginal people. It is sad, but truth. I don't know why but I guess it is related to the history of the country itself. I almost feel all religion should be completely private. Any suggestion of any religion publicly should be illegal. Christianity/islam etc. You cant discriminate against islam. Its easy for me to say because im an atheist. Islam does appear the most dangerous but it used to be christianity. There are good muslims and good christians but equally ghere are maniacs. If everyone kept their religions private/secret and those flouting that were jailed that might work. Fair for everyone really. Why should people need to ram their religion down others throats. Its a shame because im in favour of freedom but i guess that would mean banning the burka, crucifix’s etc. Shame people cant just be civil, live and let live etc. I think its either regulate or anarchy.

It is so funny, I was working in Canada, BC for 3 years as highly paid employee, paying taxes > 200k/year and after I decided to apply to PR it took me more than a year to get PR and plenty of strange documents were requested to be provided until I hired immigration lawyer who drafted rather tough and harsh mail to IRCC on my behalf that they are violating my immigration law. Guess what? PR was approved in 2 days. On the flip side I know plenty of immigrants from Eastern Europe, China who are bringing their families with fake documents and receiving PR super easy, once settled they get income outside Canada in their country of origin (leasing an apartment for example) and of course not declaring it here, they specifically keep income at the level so they can get welfare/various reliefs from Canada and they bragging out loud how smart they are taking advantage of the system. That's not fair - there are a lot of skilled people around the world who can bring real value to Canada and behave in a good faith. If you go to Richmond, no one can speak English there, what kind of cultural integration is it? Lefts really like these guys, easy votes, eh?
